This was a few years ago, but Egis has continued to provide care for those who need it and their families are not nearby, Since i was unable to get home quickly, if needed, I was so grateful that I could call Mr. Pine and Egis . . . and he would immediately let me know what I needed to do to take additional care of my Mother. Or if I needed to come home. Since I was not able to jump on a plane and come home easily, it was a comfort to know when it was necessary to do so and when it wasn't. Having Egis on our side was like having reliable family members to be there with my Mother, when I couldn't. I truly felt she was getting the best professional home care possible from truly caring humans and not just another institution. I hope, if I am in Santa Fe again and need care, to have the ethical & professional care that Egis can provide.

I finally found a new neurologist and that neurologist did what should've been done by wa"lsky. He took the symptoms serious and did a prior authot for an mri snd he sent me to a neurosurgeon since my situation was too complexes. Instead of stringing md along for insurance payments like Walskey did, o was able to resolve what I had gone to Walskey for for several years. I found out the mass was as a malignant oligoendroglioma. Had Walskey took me serious I could've battled the brain cancer early versus now as the tumor has grown since I started seeing Walskey. I went to him because I needed help and hebdidntvtakecaby of it serious. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Yes lucky I don't go after him for malpractice. It makes me so Cr who else did he screw over and they gave up after all the bs and probably found out years later they had cancer like u did. Took. 6 years to find out the mass was a tumor and I had brain cancer. He so fdropped the ball in my case. Trust your instinct when seeing physicians. Especially when they string you along.

I want to balance out the other review with a different perspective…read more While it's true that Dr. Bair's practice is VERY busy and he doesn't have a lot of time to chat, I found that the staff and Dr. Bair were polite, pleasant to interact with, and very professional given how constantly busy the practice is. He's a surgeon, and surgeons, as a rule, are much better at interacting with unconscious people than conscious ones. The unfortunate reality of medical care nowadays is that in a lot of ways you're on your own, which sucks, but it's the way it is. You must be in charge of your own care and do your own homework. Yes, I would love to have a 20 minute discussion of the nuances of my knee arthroscopy with Dr. Bair, but the fact that I can't isn't really his fault. I would recommend Dr. Bair and St. Vincent's, especially if you live in Taos and Holy Sh*t is your only other option.
