Furthermore, group therapy always starts late and you better not mention it because the therapist will get sassy and rude, giving you drama. Why? Because that's their policy in case someone shows up late, so the receptionist won't have to be inconvenienced of having to get up and walk a few steps to open the door for the individual who might show up late, as I was told by one of the staff there. Don't waste your time, resources, energy or mental health and sanity on these shenanigans! You're better off staying at home watching a movie, taking a walk in the park with a friend or relative, going to an art gallery, or just banging your head against the wall to improve your mental health and well-being than coming to this hell hole!

Although the care I received has been spotty, with case managers coming and going, I have never been treated as poorly as I have recently by a case manager named Kirstin. She was my case manager for nearly two years, and everything seemed to be going great. Then, inexplicably, Kirstin decided I was not worth a simple phone call. She just refused to answer or return a single call until my anxiety got so bad that I ended up calling and texting her so much that I had my services terminated for her cruelty. No one ever treated me so disrespectfully in all the years I had case management through Ben Gordon. I received a letter of dismissal after all of this and the letter contained several lies that someone had related to the management. I pointed these lies out to them via a couple of letters I had written to the top two managers, but they still insisted that I cannot reapply for services until six months is up. Apparently, though, Kirstin got away with her awful treatment of a client completely unscathed. I know there are case managers at CSP who care and behave professionally, not ignoring their clients and getting them kicked to the curb. Kirstin is obviously not one of them. I really liked her and we got along fine. I had begun making some significant progress, and she ruined it all by intentionally placing me in a position where I have backpedaled greatly, adding to trust issues I have suffered from for years. I would recommend Ben Gordon, but not Kirstin. I sometimes hope I'll find out it was all a misunderstanding, but she never made a single effort to rectify the problem. She just decided I never existed.

Took over one year just for them to give us the same info about my 16 yo that we've already had…read moresince he was small. I was under the impression that they thought I was making some things up about him up, because his school didn't have same to say about some things.? Even I'm puzzled by some things with my son, but I know my own son far better than that school. They basically said he was just "non compliant" with severe ADHD. None of my questions were answered with them. I feel like we are able to get no support more than ever now (except from my family). My son will always struggle in his life because he looks and seems (to strangers) "normal", but struggles due to, what I now know, he has many Autistic traits. I was already told long ago by his previous Psychologist that he had a learning disorder "beyond just ADHD", because he was on the highest dosage of ADHD meds, and still struggled a lot in school. The purpose of myself taking him there was not to get some "magic answer" (as I was told by the Phsychiatrist helping with the review), but was to get the correct diagnosis to help him get some support in life. They put on his report that basically they were doubtful that his IQ test answers were correct, due to him not seeming to want to be compliant during testing.. I was extremely surprised when she said he even got teary eyed during testing, because we NEVER see him cry, not even when he was small! That let's me know that he was EXTREMELY frusterated with whatever they were asking of him! They also put in the report that I said he broke our dogs leg by throwing him into the wall.. I NEVER said his leg was broken or there was any wall! I said he was limping for a bit, and just that he threw him "playing rough" outside. I'm sorry, but they didn't collect near enough info to get a clear enough picture of my son for a complete diagnosis, which is what I needed. As far as I know though, a kid that only has severe ADHD can't sit in front of video games all day, every day, by themself. Also, when I asked what about his sensory issues, they said it could be caused by OCD, but they don't diagnose that there. At the last meeting, I was continuously told by them to take him to therapist and get him medication for ADHD again, after telling them how we'd been doing that stuff for years, and none of it helped. A complete waste of time and money for me.

I went there...we talked...after meeting with her, suddenly, I was the bad guy. A month later, she files for the divorce; I talk to the counselor who says, "Yep, I know she lied...go hire the biggest, baddest attorney and burn her ass to the ground!". I found out later that he colluded with her in setting this up...the counselor also lost his license for inappropriate relationships with clients AND , when his wife wanted a divorce, he responded by starting a fire in the house and was arrested for arson. Yep, Braden Center...Good Job!!
