I've been a member for a short time and overall have had a positive experience. The gym is definitely on the expensive side, but it's clean, well-maintained, and offers a lot of amenities for families. One of the biggest perks is the child care. They can watch your child for up to 2.5 hours while you work out, which is incredibly valuable for parents and has made it much easier for me to take classes and exercise consistently. The outdoor pool area is another highlight, especially in the summer. The pool and water slide make it feel more like a family destination than just a gym. I've taken two strength-training classes so far, and both instructors and fellow members have been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. My biggest complaint is the family locker room. It can feel pretty chaotic, especially during busy times. There are only eight shower rooms, and they also serve as changing rooms, which creates bottlenecks for families trying to get in and out. Parking can also be a challenge. It's manageable now, but I suspect it will become even more difficult once the outdoor pool season is in full swing. Overall, if you're willing to pay a premium, you get a clean facility, great classes, excellent family amenities, and valuable child care. Big fan of the pickleball tournaments that Ivan organizes at this Lifetime location. Ivan does a really great job planning consistent monthly tournaments for singles and doubles, as well as taking feedback from participants and implementing them. At the most recent tournament, he started giving out really cool trophies to the winners. Physically, this Life Time location is just a great place to play- 7 permanent courts and two of those courts have ton's of extra space/bleachers for an audience. I've been a regular participant of the last couple pickleball tournaments and definitely plan on signing up for more next year read more

We normally don't leave negative reviews, but we feel the need to share this experience. My husband had been a member for over three years. Due to a misunderstanding, he went at a time that was apparently not allowed under his membership, without knowing it, just to drop off a document at the physical therapy office upstairs. Instead of allowing him to explain, his membership was abruptly canceled over the phone. He wasn't given the chance to speak or clarify the situation. Mark Polombo and Brandon handled the situation in a very unprofessional wayThis felt unfair and discriminatory, especially since my husband and I had already felt targeted before due to a similar misunderstanding. Want to be the high end choice for Fitness in Westchester but paying $400 a month to just have to drive away on weekend between May-Sept bc there is NO PARKING is not acceptable. I drive around for 20-30 minutes looking for a spot and miss my scheduled workout class. They know this is a problem and have offered no solutions other than raising the price. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my experience as a member at your facility. What was marketed as a premium fitness and pickleball club has turned into an ongoing source of frustration for myself and many others. From the outset, there appears to have been a bait-and-switch tactic used during sign-up. I was told there was a waitlist to create urgency, only to see my membership rate increased shortly after joining. This lack of transparency is disappointing and misleading. The class environments are overcrowded and frequently disrupted. It's not uncommon for people to walk in more than 10 minutes late, which is not only inconsiderate but poses a safety risk. I personally experienced a near-injury when a member entering late caused dumbbells to shift dangerously close to my feet. Yet, instructors are not allowed to enforce basic rules regarding punctuality and class structure. It seems that management is more reactive than proactive--waiting for an injury to occur before taking action. As for pickleball, the quality and accessibility have deteriorated significantly. Open play is now extremely limited, and the scoring system has been altered arbitrarily (playing to 9?). The introduction of a children's pickleball camp has taken over valuable court space, yet the courts remain empty due to low participation--space that could have gone to the committed adult players. To make matters worse, we are being forced into DUPR games that are unevenly matched, with little consideration for skill levels or even age--forcing an 80-year-old into competitive play, for example. Now, there's talk of charging extra for reserving courts, despite the fact that many of us are already paying over $300/month--some even more depending on when they joined or if they're on a family plan. And recently, members are being charged $50 just to show up for open play if they weren't on the list in advance. This is unacceptable. The frequent policy changes--communicated through a constant stream of emails--make it nearly impossible to keep up with the rules. Instead of fostering community and supporting wellness, this facility has created an environment of stress and confusion. Your gym and pickleball program, which should promote mental and physical health, is doing the exact opposite. Additionally, parking is chaotic, sometimes requiring 20 minutes of circling before finding a spot. This, combined with inconsistent communication and a management team that appears unresponsive to member concerns, creates the impression that customer experience is simply not a priority. Many members, particularly those in the pickleball community, have already left for other clubs--and there's growing anticipation around the opening of Sportime in Armonk. It's no surprise; members want to feel valued, not taken advantage of. I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously. There is still time to make meaningful changes, but without them, I--and many others--will be forced to reconsider our membership. read more

This is my favorite lifetime in the NY area. It's clean, spacious, and lots of weight equipment. Even at its most crowded, it's still far less crowded than any other lifetime I've been to at peak hours. It's well maintained and even broken equipment is fixed fairly quickly. Unfortunately I have a new job and I am unable to work out at this location as frequently id like to, but I still will make the drive here on my days off because I like this location that much. read more

I've debated for a while to leave this review, but now I am. This is specific for the Performance tennis program. Throughout the last 10 years my children trained at USTA National Tennis Center, SportTime, TIA White Plains and today at Life Time. The coach to player ratio is better at all the other businesses. The coaches at USTA and SportTime are more approachable and easier to work with as a team. At Life Time you are made to feel that you are just another customer. Lucky to receive their service. That's just not how you progress together. They say they have parent feedback every month, but I can count the feedback on one hand over the past years. Approaching them is not appreciated. It's also very hard to book a court, nearly impossible for kids in High school or Middle school. There are still reasons to keep my kids at Life Time as they do have the full gym and my family enjoys the other services the club offers. read more

What a waste of time. First of all we arrived there today at around 11:30 am and to find a parking spot it was a hassle. Finally someone left and we got their spot and this was about twenty minutes waiting for one. We and by we I mean my husband, myself and our 4 year old son, walked in and waited to be helped by one of the young gentlemen at the front counter. When I told him that we were looking to possibly book a party for our son in November he asked if we were members and I said no we weren't. He turned around to ask some older guy I'm guessing he was the manager and he told him that they do not do parties for non members. Now I want to know WHERE is it posted about not being able to book a party if you are not a member??? I looked on their website and nowhere under the kids birthday parties does it say for members only. Its possible that my husband and myself would have been interested in becoming members had a tour at least been offered but no we felt as though we were inconveniencing the staff by even asking such a question as a non member. It's hard to begin this review without commenting on the monthly fee -- very high! But, the White Plains Lifetime branch is immaculate. Equipment is well maintained and cleaning throughout the day. (One machine has been out of order for at least a month -- what gives?). This is a huge gym and despite the crowded parking lot, the 40,000 square foot facility seems to absorb everyone without feeling crowded. You can always get to use the machines you seek out, but not necessarily in the order you want. Staff, with one or two exceptions, seems detached from the members. It is not for everyone. I got kicked out for "looking intimidating" and I myself did not find people there friendly. I found it to be filled with clueless jerks who don't even look up from their phone, walk into you, sit on machines doing nothing for 15 minutes type of place. The place is super amenitized but it is super expensive, super busy and they will "lunk" you if you actually dare to truly bodybuild. It is for the well to do mostly and their kids and they don't like someone showing them up. So if you want to build +20" arms, this is NOT the place!!! read more

I love this place. Even when it's packed, there's enough equipment options to keep you busy. Equipment all seems high-end and CLEAN. Something for every fitness level. I've added swimming to my workouts and feel amazing. Other Classes all have been awesome and I love that we reserve spots ahead of time so it's not too crammed. Locker rooms are clean too, that's always a plus! Today I ventured into the spa for a massage not knowing what quality to expect and was blown away by Massage Therapist Jennifer. She was so knowledgeable, skilled, and STRONG. I'm already planning regular visits back to her. The cafe is great too! It's such a luxury not rushing around to find lunch before heading back to work. Healthy delicious options are a bonus! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, I find myself drawn to the sports... maybe learn to play tennis! All-in-all, this gym makes healthy living easy and fun. I've never been to other Lifetime's before, but this one really shows the luxury of recreation. I love tennis, and I loved every moment i spent at the tennis center. Each court is well closed off and spacious at the same time. The lounge area just outside the courts add a nice touch to the overall experience. Also, i have really gotten into lifting recently, and i was very very impressed by all the power racks and platforms at the gym area. The platforms are very well padded, and dropping the weights don't make a horrendous sound! Talk about a luxurious gym! The bumper plates are super nice too, which I love hahaha. Any avid barbell lifter would love the aesthetics of the plates out here. Everyone else just takes them for granted! I work around here, so you might find me at LifeTime every now and then! I was a member at this Lifetime as a founding member. Thousands of dollars spent. The pricing wasn't fitting into our current lifestyle and while I cancelled before the next billing cycle - they still charged me another $350 for a family membership - saying they require 30 days notice. Mind you, I spoke to someone on the phone about canceling, it was never mentioned. I got an email confirmation confirming my cancellation, it also was never mentioned. There is a reason they only have two stars on Yelp. Really shady business practice and make it difficult to cancel without squeezing more from great customers. What went from taking a break for a year turned into now I won't be joining again. read more

First class gym. They have amazing machines both in quantity and quality, as well as free weights and multiple power racks. Great alternative high end gym to Equinox which is bare bones for strength training machines. Members are serious about training and not so status conscious as Equinox. Train early or late or non-peak hours to get a parking spot and no waiting on machines. They offer luxurious amenities, locker rooms and are meticulously kept clean. It is a pricey membership and well worth it. You do get all club access. read more

It's Saturday , snowing & very hard to find parking . I don't want to find out what a Saturday in summer looks like . I canceled my membership after 5 months , chances of renewal close to zero . Details below. Negatives : When I tried to cancel I was told to send a certified letter or come in person . When I opened the account , they didn't care much to see my face , I simply charged the card on line . What happens if I get transferred for work out of state or US ? Parking as multiple people have written is horrible . When I registered I specifically asked if I can bring food for my infant & eat at the cafeteria . I was told , no problem . Indoor pool is small . You don't realize it until you are 15 min plus waiting for a line to open up. When the people that have paid for classes arrive in the pool becomes even harder & you'll be forced to swim with the kids , ( which puts you in a wired position ) The second month , one of the employees from cafeteria , came & told us no food from outside allowed . ( for the big kid , we had purchased chix tenders ) The 30 days policy cancellation is horrible . You will have to pay an extra month even if you are not in US, or if there are no centers on the new town or city where you transferred . LT CASH if you use it for classes automatically you have registered for that class . If you don't cancel 30 days policy applies here . In my case I don't use the LT CASH for this reason . I can't keep track of cancelations until is too late . Positives : Stuff most of the time is polite . Facility most of the time is clean , especially early in the the day. I have been a member of this gym since 2018. The facilities they have are great and they do try and keep up with the cleanliness as much as possible considering the amount of members that come in and out. I always see staff cleaning the workout areas and locker rooms. The outdoor pool is definitely a key selling point. With that being said I have to say I have been extremely disappointed with them in that over the past two years, they have raised my membership $110! While they keep boasting that I'm paying well under what a new membership costs, the fact that they have increased my membership that much within such a short amount of time, in my opinion is unfair. They have also said how there is such a high demand in their club, people are on waiting lists. I truly feel they are trying to push out the old members because our membership is different than new members (when I joined, my membership included everything. Now it's all separate-I.e. fitness club, pool, etc). This is a bad business practice and while they say they value their members, this does not show me that I am valued at all. read more

From the moment I entered LTF in Harrison I knew I would join. The staff was very professional and they asked all the right questions. The club itself has just about everything a novice or pro could want. The place was spotless, it seems everyone that works there cleans. The bathroom had several full time attendants and free comfy towels. I have been going to Lifetime in Harrison, NY for nearly 4 years and it has been one investment that my wife and I have not regretted. I've been to several gyms and Lifetime exceeds others in cleanliness. You get what you pay for, it costs more than other gyms but you get quality space and equipment. Great equipment, awesome pools, and the best part are their staff. Their team creates such a good experience. From the time I enter I am greeted with a warm welcome, during my workout if I have a question the trainers are more than happy to help, to the celebration I get as I leave the gym. Staff leave you alone if you want to be in and out, or they become friends if you want to invest. All around good gym. I'm here all the time. I'm happy. Just give it a shot. We've finally had enough. But even with a membership on hold, they require 30 days to cancel, so 1 more month of hold fees. The only reason this isn't 1 star is because the facility is in great shape. But great shape only goes so far. It's by no means, a great value. If I want to bring my 7 year old to the pool in the summer, she has to become a full member at $100 per month.. If money is no object, this is your place. I really enjoyed being a member but yesterday they indicated they were raising my monthly fee effective January 1 from $199 a month to $209 a month. I don't think it's worth it. I also think it's very underhanded because members have to give lifetime 30 days notice of cancellation and the lifetime contract indicates they do not provide need to provide any notice to increase fees. It's a beautiful facility but not worth 209 a month. The women's locker room is often dirty. read more
