The Lifeline Women's program has done so much to help me on my journey to recovery. Through the classes and peer led panels at Lifeline I have gained a support system that will continue to help me on my journey. I love the staff, it is a group of individuals who absolutely care about every single woman who enters the doors. They take the time to get to know each patient and their needs. You will have the opportunity to visit one of the medication assisted centers to get on either Methadone or Suboxone, you will have access to mental health counseling which includes equine therapy, you can visit the dentist and the doctor while a patient. All of your needs will be met while you are a resident at Lifeline. You will even get the opportunity to earn a nice pair of walking/running shoes, a new sports bra, a medal and a certificate after completing 10 "Go TheDistance" walks. read more

Was admitted during COVID; 4 days of detox was okay. Went to sh!t when I was "transferred" to Rehab. My wife had to deliver all of my meds, including vitamins. I had to wait for 5 days to see my counselor for a half hour. Two days later I had to have my cell phone to order my Rx's. After she spent my 30 mins allotted to her time with a little whiny twat that I had learned to despise by so many days, she told me I had 15 minutes with my phone (no counselor time). My pastor had tried to call me, so I was texting him, and 15 minutes later my "psycho" counselor told me to give up my phone or leave. As my bed was broken. They wouldn't let me switch to the other bed in the room. I was 60 yo, and had back pain for 30 years. I was then told I had 10 minutes to discharge. No help, no contact with loved ones, no plan for discharge (violation of law). Their "program" relied on bringing in "self-help" groups daily to espouse the "glory" of their journey to sobriety while ridiculing the week. Sober drunks. Daytimes were pretty loose. The video room was open , and I was surprised to see movies demonstrating or glorifying drug use. Just to get berated by AA that night. I started to get the idea that LifeLine meant LiferLine in the convict sense. Everybody else seemed to be on "paper". When I was discharged there was no standard, no intake paperwork, including a statement of charges, no plan of care, no in care paperwork, psych notes, labs. Eventually, all I got was just an invoice for a shitty experience that did not help my condition. If I could rate the experience lower, I would drop it below zero. a pound dog gets better treatment. My counselor wouldn't listen to me about anything and when she did here me get upset it was my addict thinking. I needed to graduate on a certan date so I had a ride home and to get iop set up and cause it was inconvenient it was a no. When I was trying to coordinate a ride home she came out yelling. I wish I could say I had a good experience. No cigarette breaks. You were allowed a nicotine lossenges every couple hours no more and no less, and they had to be prescribed and controlled. We always had to be on time but the program didn't. Didn't get to keep in good touch with my wife for DHS, and Instead of doing anything about people ruining things they just took it away. windows bolted shut. Recycled air. Rarely went outside. Why do these people insist on " pretending" to care? Stop with your copy and paste responses to all of your one star reviews. I filed complaints with Gina, of which she refused to investigate. Also, the housing side of Lifeline knows nothing about any housing programs. I know this because before being mistreated by an MD, having a stroke, and being thrown to the wayside, I worked in the property management industry. You people are violating Federal fair housing laws. Your complaint department is ran by a woman that couldn't care less about any of us. read more

At first this place was great. I was in men's residential. I was finally started to open up more. I was awaiting my extension, then on the 3rd of this month. I was woken up to the staff telling me my insurance did not approve an extension. The staff that I helped daily didn't care. I didn't even have a chance to get into an Oxford house at that time. At 8am they came in my room and I wasn't feeling well at all. A few people had tested positive for Covid and they were quarantined in the same area. I asked for a test and they denied me. Erika the director was very rude and said I had basically 2 hours to get my stuff packed and I needed to leave. I ended up having Covid. I called Oxford houses that day desperately trying to find a place because it's required that I be in sober living for a little while. Erika and the staff did not care. Insurance denied didn't accept the extension therefore I'm no good to them anymore, and that's not right. It's their job to help people and given the circumstances they could have given me a day or two. Especially with Covid being a problem in the men's residential unit. There's nothing I can do now but warn you. Don't send your loved ones here they clearly do not care about you unless your covered by insurance or cash. Some of the staff was very upset by this as well. They gave me my certificate of completion but I didn't not get a graduation nor would they let me say bye to the friends I had made there over the 35 days I was there. It was very messed up and wrong. They just had me go to their lobby and just wait. I had nowhere to go nor did I really have notice about this. If I had known they were going to do this, I would have rethought my admission at lifeline or I would have made arrangements to leave the facility prior. I advocated for myself as much as possible but Erika the director did not care, she told me I needed to hurry and I needed to leave their facility. I was never a problem person there. I worked really hard everyday. Then to be denied a Covid test as well was just wrong and to find out I did have it afterwards just made it worse. It was a horrible experience at the end. I wanted to let people know that they only care about you if you are paid up. Don't get me wrong I don't and didn't expect to stay there free of charge but they had told me they wouldn't release me if I didn't have a place to go. I was told they would work with me until I was in a Oxford house. Anyways that's all I have to say just please be aware and make sure you get things in writing beforehand and do not trust Erika the director there. She is a total snake or wolf in sheep's clothing. I will say that that some of the staff is absolutely incredible and they honestly need to be the ones running the facility. I would like to thank Tara so much you were a blessing and I enjoyed our talks very much when I couldn't sleep. You truly care about us patients. Darby my counselor Darby thank you so much for all your help you really were able to get to know me and I'm grateful I was your first client. Seriously thank you to the ones I mentioned. These people really care about the clientele regardless of gender, race, or your DOC. These people seriously are the kindest there. I contacted Lifeline in a very depressed state of mind. I postponed until I realized it was in my best interest to find a mental health counselor asap. I could not have encountered less warmth or concern. The entire process was all business, with no humanity at all. They sent me documents to review and sign through a DocuSign portal with no other communication or instruction, and certainly no questions regarding my needs. I contacted them again when I thought I'd finished all the signing, as it seemed more geared toward substance abuse, asking if I was in the right place for mental health treatment. I received a very curt response, only addressing the need for more signatures. Know this, whether for substance abuse treatment or mental health, warmth, courtesy, and concern are of paramount importance. When people are struggling, a smooth process with a sense of urgency is the priority. Most of us put off seeking help until we really need it. Over a week went by after I signed all the documents and I reached out again, asking when I would be scheduling an intake appt., only to have another curt email giving me further instructions about insurance, etc. This organization is clearly about getting their money, period. They are not in existence to help people. Avoid this place, and keep looking. You'll never speak to anyone who gives a crap about what you're going through, or any guidance. When I responded to the last email that I was going to pass for the reasons stated above, I got no response at all. Again, they just don't care. read more

The staff lies about having open beds or being full! When people need help and want in for legitimate help and get turned away by people who have never used drugs and don't have a clue about the severity of withdrawals. Well it's just BS! I'm sorry but they have no business working at a detox facility! There's no reason to turn people away saying they are full when in fact they're not!! Someone needs to go undercover and see what I'm talking about because there probably has been so many that would be drug free today if they weren't turned away by someone who is just plainly lazy and doesn't want extra work!!! read more

I'm waiting for a bed date now. My business partner Rich S. Came home on FIRE. I watched him lose everything. He was unable to enjoy life as drugs over took his life. When He got back to Bellingham everything about him was different and he couldn't say enough good things about the staff the food and the treatment. I was at Lifelines Womens PPW program in October, and I didn't finish and went home early. I went to a different program in Spokane and it was absolutely TERRIBLE. Lifeline isn't PERFECT, but considering they accept people on Medicaid and they provide you with the level of help that they do, it's quite impressive. There's a few small things that I would suggest to improve their program. When there are new patients, put them into a "detox room" for the first 5-7 days. My insurance only covered 5 days, and from fentanyl the detox is much longer than 5 days. So if people need another 5-7 days, I think they should be granted that if they need to rest. My daughter joined me right when I was getting sicker and sicker. I had been expressing I didn't feel good but staff was brushing it off. I'm a long time addict and don't complain much, If I'm expressing that, I'm not exaggerating! I ended up leaving to get back on methadone. The other thing that bothered me is that there was some bullying going on. I think if staff stepped up and said something and encouraged the ladies to be kind and understanding to each other, that would be so helpful. I'm 33 years old and was probably the oldest female in the program when I was there, and the immaturity of the other patients was hard on me, but I can't blame lifeline for that. But making a nice loving and positive environment is something I think they could work on encouraging. Back to the things I liked... The majority of the staff was great, and **the best thing that seperates Lifeline from other places is** they tailor the program to the patient. It's not the exact same stuff for everybody. They give you work that is directly related to your in life and trauma. I am going into re-admit at Lifeline tomorrow, I'm really excited to give it another shot, and I'm certain I will be set up for success!! Continuing excepting new people .when next shift woke me up ...i oversleep meds breakfast ...bt they find it so important woke me up for answer some really empty as they can wait till I at least remember my own name.....the person who was in front me she clearly in joy every second of this torture after I few times ask her plz can we do this later continue throw me next stupid qs and after I hold pause she couldn't hold her laugh seen probably my face explain everything.i ask if can leave she said sure .she did demonstrate 0 any thing to my pore body suffer that moment.when I reach my room she hysterical start laughing with another empty soul who was in room when heartless woke me up earlier ...moral of my experience workers who work in environment with sick people if you cannot. This place sucks!!!! Do not send your loved ones here!!!!!! My son went to their detox 1st and had a hard time getting in and he was so high on meth I'm surprised he's still alive. He cried and basically begged for them to let him in and they did eventually. I won't get into the detox but the residential area the only good thing is the food. There was someone in there saying a little rhyme stating he's the best and everyone else is a punk. He would say this 2 line rhyme all day long after he introduced himself in meetings and just all day everyday. My son asked hom if he could cool it with saying it so often, he talked with the counselors about it and did everything he could the right way. All they would say is just ignore him and walk away, well he did that but the man kept it up and did it even more knowing it bothered someone. 1 night he slammed his dinner tray down and said it right in front of my son. My son lost it went to the staff and again they said ignore it and never said anything to the other person like maybe cool it well that night my son had all he could take and got angry he got kicked out even after telling them he was going to kill himself they just kicked him out, and did nothing to the other person, yes my son shouldn't have lost his temper but he did everything he could to ignore the situation, the staff could have had talks with the other person (everyone was tired of hearing the same thing over and over) now I'm worried about what my son is going to do and they couldn't care less read more

I am a partner Social Service agency that provides Recovery Housing for Women and Children who are DHS involved who need transitional and supportive abstinence based housing. I have had quite a few Referrals from Lifelines Women's Residential center. All I can say is they do not do Discharge planning that supports these women in being successful once back into the community. No PCP, Prescriber No Outpatient intake scheduled, no Relapse Prevention plan, highlighting natural and community supports. They wait till the last min to hep these women find housing, and then push to get them in to housing within days, using the excuse that they will be discharged to the street if we don't get them in. What happened to collaborative thoughtful Discharge Planning. When I cant accommodate there unrealistic demands of housing in days, they use the guilt card stating that I'm placing the client at risk of Relapse. I have tried to communicate with the Clinical Supervisor and have never even got a call back. These are peoples lives that you are playing with, and the lack of Trauma informed services and supports is absolutely unacceptable!!!! read more

Rude and unprofessional. Didn't really help at all. The counselor basically told me that my parents were too easy and lenient on me. Told me to go on vacation or something. The person providing medication, shamed me saying oh you just need to lose weight otherwise you'll get diabetes and have a stroke. Lady was rude (and scary-looking tbh). read more

Maybe I'm easily pleased but I found Lifeline Connections (the new location by the river) to be wonderful. I don't have any substance abuse problems, thank goodness. I had I depressive episode. I never knew such a place existed until the Clark county crisis line told me about it. Staying there forced me to get out of the stream of life for 8 nights. They adjusted my meds, fed us very well, and I met nice staff and fellow recoverers. If I were 20, I probably would have been really homesick. But I'm 53 and so honestly, it felt like a vacation in some ways. Except of course for the depressive episode. read more

I sent this letter to the HEAD OF LIFELINE CONNECTIONS VANCOUVER, WA on Oct 8, 2017, I am including it here for others to read, This woman was wonderful and helpful I suspect she is simply ignorant of what actually happens in the center dDay to day. Thus this letter, hoping to encourage her to take a close look at those under her charge. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ There is no need for you to respond to this letter. Instead, please just listen to this attached song (Blue Shadows) my son Logan recorded shortly before he lost his life. My son, Logan Grove, died 2 weeks ago today in the ICU at the age of 27 years and 19 days old. He voluntarily came to Lifeline 2 times for help and was unceremoniously ushered out both times. Do you think something might be amiss? Since Logan's experience I have met 2 other souls who experienced issues similiar to Logan's at the hands of your staff. Again I ask, do you think something might be amiss there? Perhaps worth looking into so no other Mother has to live through my nightmare? If someone comes for help....they NEED help, not judgement and rejection. Perhaps the time is nigh for a refresher course/reality check for that staff...who, among other things, speak negatively to not only that person who is there for help but another patients in the presence of the residents. Do they know and remember they are there to help save lives, not to misspeak and do senseless things that might hurt those in need out of their own feelings of being...what? Underpaid and over worked? Unappreciated? Uneducated in their importance in breaking this horrific chain of dependence? I do not know why. My son was an intelligent person, an honorable person, a powerful and highly gifted musician with deep abiding love for his friends, animals, the less fortunate and me, his Mother. He was sick and he knew it. He had an affliction of the brain (see attached article "Addiction is a Brain Disease") and attended AA as often as he could and he came to Lifeline in desperate need of help. No call back. Ever. Filled out their "insurance benefits form" online for my family member looking for help nearly a month ago and no call back, ever. I called them multiple times, with no one ever giving me an answer about the benefits. Finally, frustrated, I called twice more and left voice mail messages for both the insurance benefit person, Malea, and her supervisor LInda, and surprise, no call back from either. If this is how they treat people looking for help, then this is not the place for my family member to go. Disappointed to say the least. read more

I can't believe people can be like this in this world I'm just a average person trying to go on with my life and leave my dui in the past and lifeline is all about $ and I've givin them over 30,000 dollars and they still want more! I just want to enjoy the rest of my life with my lovely girlfriend who supports me 200% but I can't and may never with this supposed to be treatment facility that is supposed to help you and give you the right tools in life, but I've seen nothing just stress and money and misery! read more

This place is the worst. Never have I ever been treated so poorly ever in my life and this is coming from a recovering addict that used to be homeless for years. Been coming here for almost 6 months and they treat us like convicts. Monica with the MAT program had the audacity to tell me to quit my job(I have a 4 month old son that i need to provide for) so that i won't be 5min late for an appointment and also threatened me more than once to cut me out of the program cause I missed a day even though I called leaving her messages about how my son was sick. When trying to explain my situation she tries to hide behind her laptop and roll her eyes and disrespectfully storms out of the room so she won't have to hear me speak. She even told me to find a new program just cause she doesn't like me. Very unprofessional providers that think we don't know any better trying to deny my medication and smirking while trying to do so. Just all around terrible thinking we are all low lives that have no education what so ever. I give this place one star just cause I can't give it less than that but the groups with Viola and Jordan has really helped me stay clean in my recovery. That's the only good thing I can say. On top of everything. I talked to the director about her and they told me I could file a grievance which I should've done but didn't cause I'd feel terrible about getting this person fired or anything relevant. After an altercation they gave me a 2 day supply of my medication then the day I was supposed come in for my next weekly dose they called me telling I'm being denied to be seen due to my insurance. I called my insurance and they told me just cause of an error doesn't mean they can refuse to see me and give my medication. So it seems like they were trying to find a reason to get me cut from the program. But don't have any valid reason to. If you're reading this just know that there are better options. I thought Lifeline was a very good alternative to the other drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities that would except Washington Apple Health. In fact I feel like I learned a lot from the counselors and psychologist that were on staff running the groups and lessons throughout the day(s) ... The facilities were far superior to other facilities that I've seen... this is my first time going to rehab ... but I've seen a few others for very short periods of time. Food was excellent in fact everyone there complains of getting fat quickly because there's three very full meals and snacks all day. We could certainly use more trips to the gym. :) I understand the place has changed a lot in the last few years and maybe that's what the previous reviewer saw, but there was no smoking and enough oversight that if anyone wanted to break the rules and do something stupid they could through very sneaky techniques but they were usually the same people who then had to face a judge for it. And one thing nice about Lifeline was not your typical jail determine type of rehab, a few were, but for the most part people were all of the noncriminal polite sorts. Also, definitely unlike some other rehabs in WA excepting state Medicaid. Overall it was a good experience and allowed me to put my life on hold and think real hard about things and best of all forcibly stay sober and put a plan into action to keep doing so while I repair whats left and try to live a good life from here on out. read more

This is a great place if you are interested in being babysat between smoke breaks. The staff have no control over residents, the schedule on the website is totally fake. It is a complete waste of time, there is no rehab going on here...just controlled chaos. They are absolutely incompetent and it truly is a waste of time, taxpayers money. The staff has no control for sure . while in inpatient my husband had sex with a female client his roommate had a cellphone and they had mcdonalds in their room. after inpatient outpatient treatment advised him to leave me and our disabled child. i had no knowledge of the cheating at the time or that their were even issues between us . i would not recommend this facility to anyone for inpatient or outpatient treatment read more
