My physical therapist that came to my house, Keesha Vassel- Ford, what's phenomenal! It was very frustrating not being able to do everyday tasks and she helped me get through it. She gave me confidence that I did not know I had. She treated me with the utmost respect and at the same time it was like she was a friend that I've known for years. DO NOT send your loved ones there. My mom was sent there for rehabilitation after a knee replacement and fall. They were given strict instructions to watch her for any open wound that could cause an infection. Because of Covid visitors were allowed in to monitor the care she was (or not) receiving. She ended up with a golf ball sized hole in her heal from the cast which led to a MRSA infection. They are extremely understaffed and they let this go until she has to be rushed to the ER. She had to endure NINE more surgeries and skin grafts because the MRSA was ignored for so long. She died because her heart just couldn't take all of the surgeries. She had just turned 83. I have many pages of documentation which I have shown to an attorney who say I clearly have a case for neglect. She also got Covid in Harlee Manor because they were not screening the employees. I called 22 times over a week period and not one person returned my call. I had to hire an elder care law firm to advocate on my behalf because they we so horrible in responding. Also, when my mother went there from Riddle, after surgery, they put her in a room alone for 7 days with no telephone. When I finally reached her she was losing her mind. I could go on for hours about this... but it won't bring her back... THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN! Brian D

During my aunt's 11-day stay in 2024, we witnessed and documented serious problems: Trash left on the floors and unsanitary bathrooms (see one photo). A roommate whose oxygen was unplugged, dropping her Oxygen levels to 61% -- a near-catastrophe. A lack of responsiveness and overall neglect that worsened after we filed a complaint and submitted a review. My aunt is a former educator, soft-spoken, deeply religious, and severely disabled by late-stage MS. She was never violent or abusive. Yet, when she recently needed placement at a different facility (Providence Rehab in Yeadon, also managed by Marquis Health Consulting Services), she was suddenly denied admission. The company cited "13 incidents" from her Springfield stay, though no such documentation was ever shared at the time. This feels like retaliatory blacklisting for our prior complaint, which is against the law! We have now filed a formal complaint with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Long-Term Care Ombudsman, because families should not be punished for demanding safe and dignified care. No family should have to fear retaliation simply for advocating for their loved one.
