That said, Empower is...pretty good. The instructors are good, the classes are enjoyable, the heat is improving. Probably the biggest complaint is really the physicality of the location. There is no anteroom for changing, waiting, etc. This is a limitation caused by location and there is little to be done about this, but it keeps Empower from earning another star (or two). Pricing cannot be beat!

Most classes are offered in studio and streamed via Zoom. I really enjoyed the chair yoga and Yin classes, which are difficult to find, offered on Sundays. I live in a different state and when Covid hit, the streaming classes were a lifesaver during lockdown! I've been "in studio" a couple times since my first visit but continue to take streamed classes a couple of times a week and will continue to do so. Instructors are welcoming and helpful. Responsive to queries. If you are not in the area I recommend registering for the streaming classes.

The studio is on the smaller side, but still perfect for class sizes. It's below Ladybug retail shop and to access the studio there's a gate near the register to go downstairs. Before finding that gate I did accidentally open a door to a closet and some other room. ;) The studio is a soothing color palette inside and the added extra touches made this studio stand out. Here are a few of the special touches - yoga mats laid out for you on arrival to class (no excuse if you don't have a mat with you ;) haha), your own bolster, block, and soothing eye pillow for the end of period. Shannon the owner and instructor was amazing. Her voice was super calming the entire class and exactly what I needed after the stresses of moving! I did the Power Hour adult class and the flow of the class was great. I really enjoyed it. I've taken a lot of different yoga classes, but I liked that her flows and poses were unique. The studio emphasizes more on family and parent/kid classes, but even if you don't have children you can attend this Power Hour class. Check it out if you are in Appleton, WI! :)

The instructors are very helpful for new yoga students and is there to help you if you are doing the poses right and will let you now if you are doing it wrong and she will demonstrate how to do the poses. If you are unsure about a yoga pose she will hep you so you get it right. The yoga poses do take time learn and the more practice the better you get at it. I love yoga fusion the have beginner classes for beginners and classes for students that have taken yoga before. I recommend going to yoga fusion.

Christine not only specializes in personal training but she offers a fantastic cardio blend to all of her workouts to assure maximum Fitness results she also will help you with a meal plan and diet tips as well as emotional guidance and support along with emails to make sure you stay on track. She allows me to stop in to her studio during the week to use her car do equipment. Her space is simply beautiful she offers a huge free weights section is well as elliptical treadmill and bike for cardio also a side yoga studio changing room full bathroom and full shower, and a mini kitchen area to leave healthy snacks- for your comfort! Each class is so much fun, every member is inspiring, the classes are led by (hands down) the best instructors who give hands-on corrections/adjustments and all of the kick-ass encouragement you could need. The upbeat music and knowledgeable instructors allow me to turn off my brain, check out from my day, and just let my body do it's thing. You will not have the same class twice and I promise you will see results if you give yourself 3 solid months of 3-5 classes/week (that's less than 5 hours of moving your body intentionally/week!)
