Went to a new dentist and discovered that what I assumed was normal was actually unsanitary. The hygienist tools always had this awful dirty dishwater smell before they went into my mouth and the second she would put them in my mouth it would fill my mouth with this disgusting taste. When I asked about it I was told it was the bacteria in my mouth even though I could smell it on the tools before they went into my mouth and it would take days to get the nasty day taste out, my new hygienist tools have no smell and left no bad taste in my mouth. The lights here all have big nasty dried on chunks like they don't wipe them off my new dentist's light was spotless. When I had my fillings Jill Balgaard was too worried about her daughter having a surgery, was obviously distracted, rudely stepped out for a phone call in the middle of it, and despite many adjustments my bite has never felt right since and I feel like it's because she was distracted. I would recommend shopping around for a clean sanitary dentist office. Also had a bill that I swear I scanned the code and paid and the it said it was successful but like a week later another bill came so I assumed it was sent before I paid and ignored it, then a few weeks later I get a rude letter from Jill Balgaard threatening serious actions over 50 bucks I thought was already paid. I had an upcoming appointment it could have been addressed professionally during then but Jill apparently thought a rude letter would be better. Awful dentist terrible customer service. read more

Boy - I don't know which place "Shelly A." went to, but I cannot IMAGINE it was Lifesmiles. I went in for my 6 month checkup/cleaning. Everybody from the front desk back to the exam room was very friendly and helpful. The service was exceptional and prompt. I do admit the bill is high - but unfortunately that's the "going rate" these days. Thanks guys, see you again in 6 months. read more

I was treated terrible when I checked in and felt that they were worried more about payment and not your cares or your smile.

Great people. Highly proficient. Appointment on time. However, bring your wallet. Their pricing is double what most insurance companies pay and they do not negotiate down. As an example, after my cleaning, the dentist came and looked at my x-rays and reviewed the cleaning. She was there for all of two minutes. Boom - $53 charge for her "exam". Flouride treatment took about 30 seconds to apply...Boom $42. My basic cleaning took about 45 minutes because of yearly pan xray and cost me and my insurance about $374. If you have a healthy co-pay, be ready to spend some money. Overall, though, good folks and pleasant experience. If not for the price gouging, this place is fantastic. read more
