I contacted The Fruit Boutique on Friday at 2:15pm in a panic. A well-named national floral delivery company ( not naming names here) fell through at the very last min and was not going to be able to deliver the gift we ordered ahead of time. They offered to send the gift next Tuesday instead of the date requested. I said not acceptable and decided to cancel the order. Panicked- I googled local businesses in Bismarck that looked like they could help in a pinch. Tamara from The Fruit Boutique came through and reassured me that she could deliver the fruit bouquet the same day and then texted me a pic of the items we discussed. Grandma received her fruit bouquet a few hours later and was ecstatic. Thank you, Tamara, for helping to make Grandma's birthday special. From here I took home bag of lightly roasted Ethiopian beans and made delicious pourovers for a month. I've had many pourovers at this point but these made some of the most memorable cups. During my visit I picked up a medium cold brew (excellent!) and avocado toast (avocado, tomato, sprouts, hemp seeds, chia seeds on multigrain bread​, $6.00). The toast was splendid. I found no browning of the avocado and the tomatoes were fresh. I do think the bread could have been toasted longer. The service was a little awkward. I waited at the counter for a solid three minutes before I finally waved down a couple baristas chatting away. This is fine, I'm a pretty patient person and I will always support building healthy relationships with coworkers. The awkward part was the blank, unresponsive stare I received from one of the girls.
