My parents and I visited on Wednesday 5/20/2026 around 9:30am, and we ordered inside. The shop was spacious with plenty of seating at the time. The workers were helpful and happy to recommend what to drink/eat, and they seemed to be enjoying their jobs. I ordered the reishi cacao , which is basically a hot chocolate for adults, with adaptogenic mushrooms instead of marshmallows (I didn't feel anything out of the ordinary after drinking it). It was lovely! My parents enjoyed their latte and drip coffee. The prices are great, especially when I don't have to spend $8 on a latte. The only thing I did not appreciate was they didn't post what the prices were in the pastry case (the labels only had what it was, not the price too). All in all, a great experience and a great variety to choose from. I'd like to go back to try their breakfast sandwiches. Discovered this place via a quick google maps search. With only two reviews and both 5 stars I figured it was worth a visit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, It's odd not seeing any employees wear masks which is quite different from NC. Anyways I ordered a few items and they were all delicious. I cannot wait to return to try out one of the smoothies. Be careful with that spicy mayo on that BG breakfast bagel as it has a spicy kick on the first taste but man it goes well on the bagel. read more

I've been to the balancing goat a handful of times and more times than not I have left feeling like I didn't get the quality I paid for. about a year ago I was served avocado that was as hard as a rock even though I had to pay extra for it. I decided not to go back but recently I met a friend for breakfast hoping for better. I ordered a $9 smoothie that wasn't even filled all the way, even though I saw many people with totally filled smoothies. Recommended Inside Space: Modern. Concrete, stainless steel, high open ceilings. I wouldn't say cozy. Efficient and clean. Outside Space: Nice and quiet, sheltered on the South and West by very high walls. The Interstate is to the South, maybe a mile away and it can't be heard. What can be heard on June mornings are crickets and birds. In the late afternoon the high walls to the West shade the area. Espresso: Best iced mocha East of Seattle along I-90 and I-94 and I stopped at towns every 130 miles for gas and espresso. Something different and good about the espresso they serve at balancing goat. Food: Very nice selection of pastries. The wrap was very good too. I think it was either a BLT or Club. I found Balancing Goat Coffee by mere chance scrolling through the pages of Bismarck Magazine. I decided to give it a try but, coming from Savannah where I've been spoiled (to say the least) with quality coffee, I am not easily surprised. Balancing Goat Coffee did. Given the COVID-19, I couldn't take a look inside. I ordered an almond milk latte at their drive through-- it was both sweet and nutty without the sightless hint of burnt beans or bitterness. The second time I visited, I got their beans as well; their Brazilian Light Roast was just as delicious as the latte. I'll definitely keep buying from them. read more

The BG salad is truly phenomenal!! It is my go to salad when we're out and about and need some quick- smoothies are also amazing! I LOVE their espresso as well. The Italian Sodas don't have any any flavor. It's straight up carbonated water. Only used 1 tea bag for a London Fog when most places use 2. The staff is very nice and friendly though. And the Strawberry cheese danish is so yummy. read more

A great spot to grab coffee or sit down for a quick bite style breakfast. Right off the Interstate 94 for easy access and had a drive through! I had the breakfast jack burrito which had bacon, eggs, spinach, and of course pepper jack cheese and a latte to drink.
