Since then I've had a lot of neck and shoulder pain. I tried other chiropractors and was beginning to think the practice of chiropractic treatment was a hoax. Always trying to sell me stuff or recommending treatment that did nothing! I also tried massages but those only gave temporary relief. About five weeks ago, I decided to check out Beatty Chiropractic. Dr. Colleen got my history and did x-rays. She did a great job explaining what my treatment would be. She also shared what she saw in the x-rays and explained how and why my neck has a curvature different from most. She takes the time to feel what parts of your body have tension and are tight, then works on those specific area. She does crack backs, but does not do the scary neck cracks that are on YouTube! I had another chiropractor who did that and it hurt and was terrifying. She has different techniques. Anyway, I am very happy with my treatment so far. Well, based on the good, I wanted to find someone that really understood my concerns and help me rehabilitate my shoulder. On my first appointment, I shared my thoughts on the process. I new it worked before, but haven't had great docs in the past. I'm open to trying someone new since everyone is different. Oh boy! I'm sure am happy! I love that Dr. Shane develops a plan and works with a physical therapist to resolve the problem. It's not one and done. Dr. Shane really listened to my concerns, explains to me what's going on and why, and leaves me me take home exercises to do at home to strength my area of concern. Ummm... that's pretty amazing! Another plus, he is not focused on x-rays until he feels you need them. I have hated that in the past. X-rays, x-rays, x-rays? For what?
