Luckily I found City Petcare on Yelp and called for appointment. Unbelievable they were open and a Vet was available to check on her condition, woohoo!! Dr Ravneet evaluated the mass, suggested taking X-ray views and a fine needle aspiration to assess the cytology of the mass before deciding to remove mass or not. We felt comfortable with his suggestion until 2 days later her leg mass had gotten worse. We immediately decided surgically removing the mass is the only option for our dog's comfort. From her first visit on Saturday at City Petcare and even now the 3rd day after her surgery, each one of the staff at City Petcare has shown great compassionate care to my Shasta girl. Incidentally, City Petcare is the 3rd veterinarian group that evaluated my husky girl's leg mass. We are really happy with the care and attention the team had given her. Oh.....and did I mention the final cost for my dog's treatments? Much less than the first two veterinarians from my home state that have been seeing my husky since she was a puppy. We came in with two kittens, I didnt expect the one to make it as he was in shock with very low blood suger. But the other kitten had esperated some milk in her lungs two nights before and needed to be put back into an oxygen chamber. I had been warned that her lungs might become a bit wet after a few hours out of the chamber and if this happened she would need one more night, I had gone to another hospitail the night before paid 560.00 for treatment which had included fluids, oxygen, bottle feeding, and warming care as this was a hairless baby.The choice to come here was not mine, but the owner of the kitten in shock . She could not travel tto vancouver where I could have got one more night on oxygen for 140.00 This Dr. Gave us a bill of 1600.00 We arrived at around 715 pm and they took the kittens in, we were told that the kitten that was in shock would probably not make it, but the other kitten would be ok as she was healthy just slight rasp when she was breathinng, she was also constipated and we asked them to look at this. We were given a quote for 1800.00 and asked to give 600 right away when I said I had to run home to grab more money. While we were gone for 1 and a half hrs after I called to say I had to feed some kittens and would return, they called four times during that time, saying we needed to bring them money. When we got there and gave them the money I saw my kitten just laying on a heating pad that didnt seem to be heating well with no oxygen or care. she had been put into a cage. I inquired about this and was told she was breathing well on her own and they felt she would need a night of observation. If oxygen was needed they would provide it. They said they had tube fed her when I inquired about the large size 8 tube beside her, I said you cant use that, thats huge , Here I have the proper size tube in my bag. I retrieved a size 3.5 tube that was new and sealed in sterial wrapper. I was told I was wrong and ushered away from the cage. I spoke to the Dr. and we were informed the first kitten had died, now I dont know if it was shock as they claimed, what I know is he was given one shot of something and just left in his owners hat on a table. I think I freaked the dr out when I insisted they give us the body. Here is what I discovered, they claimed they had given fluids by pap, this is done throught the back skin subdermal, there was no needle mark, they claimed they had done three blood draws for testing blood suger, there was no needle markes only the one needle mark that I had been there for with glucose in the left hind thigh leg was there yet we had over 600 in charges for services the animal had never recieved such as emrgency nursing care, they had one nnurse and several paitents, then when I picked up my cat after they had been calling since 8am to have her picked up or they would be charging me another 600.00 we could not get there until 10:40 am they handed me my cat covered in mucus ice cold and purple with a swollen abdomen and barly breathing and she was bluish purple. She died less then two hrs after leaving the clinic she had been dehydrated , freezing and she had a swollen throat from the too large tube they had stuffed down her which purferated her tummy. The new can of formula we had bought was missing just 3mls of liquid we weighed and measured it, my guess is they hurt her by jamming that tube down her throat and didnt bother to care for her at all through the night. My 3500 dollar dwelf should never have died she had been ok when she went there. she was ice when they handed her back it was so gross the condition she was in with bloody mucus all over her coming from her mouth from tube damge . I plan to sue this dr. My cat had no needle marks at all on her yet they claimed all these things had been given via injection, foolish my cats have no hair and every poke brusies and shows, the other kitten was in the shock they claimed her was suffering from constipation, and had eaten that afternoon, The shoot of glucose cased him to die it was to much for his little heart they should have put it on his gums. No fluids were given, no blood work no workup to see what was causing his belly to distend, nothing was given and he was not put into a warming oxygen chamber as he should have been. this vet I have read charges for items he does not do and this is fraud. AVOID AT ALL COSTS OR IT WILL COST YOU. Oh I spoke to the other vet who said that my kitten should have never died she had minimal fluid on her lungs, she was healthy and eating on her own by bottle. She was active and this was a travisty
