They took us in the next day. Dr. Kamboj was so friendly. He answered all our questions even some that may be have been silly. He told us the shots Bentley would need the next appointment. Kelsey gave us a first time visit bag with pamphlets as well as treats for Bentley. She also explained the different type of pet insurance options they offer and how to go about enrolling. We just went to our 2nd appointment on 6/13. Bentley got his 12 week shots. Dr. Kamboj explained every shot to us and what each one does. Bentley was nervous but Dr. Kamboj held him throughout the explanation and the shots and microchip ping took no more than a few minutes. Jason and I were shocked how quickly it went and our boy did so well. Greystone Animal Hospital will be our long term hospital choice for Bentley. Theresa even reached out and offered a little supportive squeeze to my hand as I was settling up my bill. This caught me by surprise -- but this subtle gesture of kindness meant a great deal to me in that moment of craziness after having learned such bad news. Our dog went in for some teeth problems and this doctor did a fantastic job. Dr. Toor and his staff made us feel welcome right from the first call. After an examination he explained the problems he saw with the dog; gave the options we had... each with their advantages and disadvantages. He even gave us an item by item cost breakdown for the options. It was simple to make informed decisions that was in the best interest of our pet. Very important was that Dr Toor stuck to the quote even though he did a bunch of additional work. The quotes also included the cost for medicine in the weeks to follow as well as the follow-up visit. The cost was VERY reasonable compared to other two hospitals we approached for quotes. The hospital staff was very friendly and followed up after the procedures to see how the dog was doing... with NO pressure for anything else. We would not hesitate one bit to recommend this hospital for the dental procedures that was done on our dog

One of our doggies recently has been having seizures, and he was seen by a few vets at the clinic. Dr Gravelings, Dr Armstrong and Dr Kates. They are all outstanding and caring. Especially Dr Kates, she shows a true passion in caring for animals and she was extremely patience and careful when she was examining my dog. She is very knowledgeable, understanding, and informative. She took the time to answer any of the concerns we had. And the way she communicates is non-judgemental and unbiased. We really feel that she has the heart for the animals and she really wants them to do well. We feel blessed to have found such a wonderful vet! And their vet technicians are also amazing. The one we encountered the most is Jennifer. She is very caring and gentle with our doggies. She is very helpful, and when we told her we were not comfortable bringing our doggie to Canada west for the neurology consultation because of the poor comments we saw online, she right away said she can help us forward the referral letter to a hospital of our choice. And the many small things that they have done, it really shows they care. I have seen some have mentioned here about their prices. All I can say is we have been to the metrotown animal hospital and some other animals clinics, and the South Burnaby vet is where we want my doggies to be. We did not post publicly before this because we did not want to negatively impact a local business…read more We had been longtime clients of South Burnaby Veterinary Hospital and always had positive experiences with Dr. Kates and the team while caring for our first dog, Nano. However, after recently attempting to send a demand letter to South Burnaby Veterinary Hospital, a veterinary clinic operated by VetStrategy, the delivery was refused. This was disappointing, as it left us feeling that our concerns were not being acknowledged. It is also important to note that Dr. Crampton has never apologized for the surgical error that led to our dog's injury. In April 2025, we brought our puppy, Lola, to South Burnaby Veterinary Hospital for a routine spay and umbilical hernia repair with Dr. Hannah Crampton. We were advised that both procedures had been completed successfully and paid accordingly. A few months later, Lola became seriously ill and required emergency care. After being referred to Canada West Veterinary Specialists, we were informed that her ureter had been ligated during the spay procedure, resulting in severe kidney damage that required surgical removal of a kidney. We were also advised that her umbilical hernia had not been repaired and still required treatment. We understand that complications can occur in any profession. What matters is how they are addressed. Lola went into surgery as a healthy puppy and now faces lifelong kidney monitoring. We had hoped for a constructive conversation about how to address the situation and support Lola's ongoing care, but unfortunately that has not been our experience.
