We decided last minute that we needed help unloading our uhaul after a long cross country move and Lift worked to get us on the schedule same day. They were super helpful and communicative even on a Saturday. We had 2 movers come and they finished in less time than we planned for. I don't even want to add 1 star. This experience was the worst I ever had. I'm in the military and I move almost every two years. I decided to go with this local moving company, bad idea. My pictures were broken, the couch foot was broken, dressers were scratched, memorabilia damaged. They packed sensitive items with hard stuff and smashed things that cannot be replaced. They completely over paid for this awful quality of work they did. Im so disappointed and upset. The only thing I have from them is an emailed receipt with price I paid. I've sent them an email to ask about filing a complaint and hopefully they can make up for this but I seriously doubt it because some things don't have a price. read more

I have been waiting to write this review for 6 months in the hope that I would not have to write it. However...my husband and I moved from Waco in February of this year. We decided to go with Lift Moving because the price was excellent and we felt confident in the business, as the owners are involved in the same church community we were. The process started off okay- they were fairly responsive with questions I had, and the two movers themselves were very sweet guys! They didn't have a "system" for loading any of our furniture, and thus, no items were wrapped in plastic or really padded. Unfortunately this resulted in several of our nicest items from Pottery Barn being damaged, as well as our brand new mattress. The movers were so apologetic and said that Michael and Lucas would be sure to take care of us and get our furniture fixed (the movers very openly saw the mistakes that were made and the damage caused and knew it was because of the way the items were packed). When I reached out to Michael, it took him 22 days to respond via e-mail about how we could clean our products- we had one phone conversation prior where my husband and I told him about the damages. We were appreciative that he took the time to look into how exactly our furniture should be cleaned and sent that information via e-mail. There was no mention of any refunds or any money they would offer to pay for the cleaning needing to be done to our chair/ottoman, changing table, mattress, or crib. So, we took the advice that Michael gave us and cleaned the mattress and chair/ottoman ourselves. Do they look great again? Not really, but they are functional at this point. This however does not fix the fact that our furniture was once not damaged and then became damaged in the move, which was not our fault. The changing table was purchased for $1,099.00 and now has deep scratches on the top. In response to this, Michael said in his e-mail "From what I can see from the pictures the damages are very minimal. I did see that the pottery barn will give the paint colors out and you are welcome to touch up the items." That doesn't address the fact that the scratches are indeed deep, and there is no mention of ordering the paint for us or refunding the paint cost. I have continued to reach out to Lift Moving and have had no response since March 24, 2016. I have e-mailed four times- on March 24th, April 17th, April 20th, and June 21st. I called and left messages on the business phone on June 2nd and June 3rd. And this month, I called one of the owner's personal cell phone's and left a message. There has not been one response via e-mail or phone. I am truly so confused as to why- I don't see how this is professional or appropriate. I don't see what my husband and I have done or requested that is unreasonable. We simply want to have a discussion about what we can do to get a few pieces of our furniture fixed that were clearly damaged by the movers on our move. I am now in the process of sending all of this information to Lift Moving via snail mail, and writing this yelp review- hoping that one of these methods of communication reaches Michael or Lucas. I don't want to paint a negative picture of Lift Moving, but after 6 months of no communication, I am at a loss as to how to get this conflict resolved, and how to receive a phone call back. read more

We had Lift Moving move hour household goods from Oklahoma to Texas. They stayed overnight in OK on the company's dime the night before, met my husband and dad on time at the storage unit, packed their truck in 3 hours, hit the road and arrived in Dallas in good time. They kept us appraised of their ETA so that someone was at the house to meet them. They were exceptional with us when they found out that our home was two story. They arrived at about 4:30 PM and didn't leave my house until almost 10 PM. They were careful with everything that came upstairs, they were patient when they didn't think it would fit up the narrow staircase, but they worked it out and made everything fit beautifully. They worked quickly, patiently, and with extreme care - especially the many family heirlooms that are deeply meaningful to our family. They drove straight home to Waco, working the entire time with the needs of our family. Their company came highly recommend from my parents as they had used them for a couple of moves to Dallas. The gentlemen were courteous, respected our home and, most important to me, respected the fact that our dog is part of our family and got to know her before they started and the price was right. They worked with my husband ahead of time to make sure that all of our needs were met. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move. read more

We had lift movers transfer our sons furniture to an upstairs apartment after the semester already ended, as we were waiting for the apartment to be ready. When we returned for the new school year we found several scratches on the 6 month old sofa, dings on the dresser, and the TV screened cracked. So disappointed at the service. My mistake to trust that others would treat our belongings with better care considering they are paid to do so. They were also tipped generously for helping us last minute. read more

David, Alex, Levi and Hunter....going to adopt all 4 ! All very courteous, on time, easy to work with and willing to help on all fronts. My husband, David and I moved from China Spring to Woodway and everything made it, no damage at All. Our closing on both houses were a nightmare so packing and moving was a concern. These guys came in and worked hard to please, knowing this part was handled well was a Load off of our minds. They did have to work late because of late closing but did so with a Smile and best of humor. Jeremy also has been hard at work to answer David's questions About billing etc. Do not hesitate to use us as a referral, this start-up company is here to Stay and will do a good job whether across town or out-of town. Unless you don't mind wasting almost an entire day waiting on a phone call to say they're coming ..I wouldn't use them. No phone call, nobody on duty to answer a phone. Apparently overworked and understaffed, even for this area. The client was a 79 year old widow who was depending on a move (short distance) and now she has to find another mover and put off other cleaning staff and other services which were supposed to start on Monday. There should be an option for zero stars. The absolute worst. They may have the best price, but you get what you pay for. Moved 3 times in 2018 and this was by far the worst experience. The over "stuffed" their truck, even used my husband's pickup truck for items they couldn't get on their truck. I was told if they couldn't get everything on one truck, they have a second one. They didn't use it. They also showed up with only two guys to load a 4 bedroom house. It was the owner and one other guy. We had all the small items already in the garage, boxes, small furniture and even had all our furniture wrapped with blankets and siren wrap and they still went 4 hours over on loading alone. I guess if they didn't spend so much time talking and moved faster it would have cut down on some time. So the moved was load and go. The only thing they had to disassemble was taking the 2 handles off the refrigerator (which they left the handles on the kitchen floor and combined the screws with the kitchen table screws and when asked how we are suppose to know what does with what the owner responded "you'll figure it out". The kitchen table they disassembled we were able to take out of the box brand new, unwrap all the pieces etc and put it together in 20 minutes. It took them 30 just to take it apart, and that involved just unscrewing 8 screws. They were unable to get everything in their truck and when I asked what we are suppose to do because we have to be out of our house, the owner's wife told me "that's not our problem". WOW! They damaged so many of our things from stuffing their truck full and I do mean stuffing, not loading. They damaged our new $2600 stainless steel refrigerator and the headboard to our spare bedroom suite, one of the hand-painted nightstands for the master bedroom and even pointed it out while they were unloading. They crushed our $100 stainless steel trash can and 2 drawer filing cabinet, both need to be replaced. They took a big chip out of our 2 drawer hutch along with damaging other items. Their policy of paying $0.60 per pound for damaged items is a lie. They have refused to pay for anything. If you value your belongings that you work hard to get for yourself, I definitely would not use Lift Moving under any circumstances. Pay the extra money and go with someone else. It will save you in the end. read more
