Making a decision about childcare is really hard, but I am so happy with our decision to go to Lightbridge. Everyone is like family there. The directors love my children, the teachers love my children, and I trust that they are happy and safe there. I love that there is a curriculum, each week is a different theme. They learn Spanish and do yoga and exercise and learn the basics like letters, numbers, writing, etc. I love that there are cameras and you can watch what is going on throughout the day. Every teacher knows the children's names even if they aren't in that teacher's class. They take any concerns seriously. The facility is clean and neat and welcoming. No daycare is perfect, I assure you, but Lightbridge is perfect for us and I'm more than happy with the care my children are getting there. read more

The staff is wonderful and has supported us tremendously over the past 3 years including always being flexible during my husbands deployment. Ms Debbie and Ms Jo are the directors and are both wonderful. They are always available for any questions as well there to greet students and family as soon as you enter. During his time there he has had Ms. Rose, who was always nurturing and caring; Ms. Gabby who was supportive during his "terrible 2s" and potty training and Ms Emily and Ms Dominique who have ensured he is constantly reaching all his milestones and allowing him to be his playful robust self. As an educator and instructional coach for elementary schools I know how important these foundational skills are and will be eternally grateful for all the work Lightbridge has done for my family. I have two kids in Lightbridge since they were in the infant room. They love their teachers and friends, and are so happy here. Ms. Rose, Ms. T, Ms. Gabbie and Ms. Emily love my kids and it shows. Each week has a theme with lessons and related activities. My oldest was a pandemic baby with delayed speech and his language exploded once he joined Ms. Gabbie's class. They also nap better here than when they are at home! It's reassuring to be able to check the app to see live video and updates throughout the day. Recently removed my child from this place and its a decision that had to be made because my child was treated horribly. The camera access is great but the teachers find a way around it so you cant see what they do to your child if you complain on them. I have complained several times about a particular teacher but instead of the staff addressing my issues that i saw on camera they immediately got defensive and told me it never happened. The indifference of the office staff to your complaints makes you feel as if your complaints arent valid. My child has come home with bruises and told us what happened and who did it yet our complaints were ignored. The teacher in question continued the behavior that we complained about so clearly the staff never addressed the issue. I had my child moved to another class but the same behavior continues, maybe its the low pay or untrained teachers but avoid this place at all costs. The office staff only concerns itself with receiving payments everything else is a low priority. I suggest you avoid this place at all costs.. read more

They put me on the waiting list 3 months ago and said there are 10 people in front of me, Everytime I call them about status of waiting list, they said they will call me back and never call back. I called them 3 times and gave up. The weird thing is that they keep sending out emails about open house and tour. Why they line up people and make us wait for undefined period. Leaving your kids at daycare for the first time is one of the scariest feelings you ever have. When I left my son the first time I didn't know what to expect. He never cried once and that was 7 months ago. His speech words sentences are beyond belief. They have a daily activities and great teachers. This place is an absolute dud. There are few exceptional teachers whom I absolutely adore and I definitely will miss. My child had been in their care for few years. In the beginning, there were few bumps in the road- not feeding my infant child for the ENTIRE day. To which, the teacher acknowledged and apologized for. Initially I thought all of that were attributed to the place just being opened, but in hindsight, all of their administrative "kinks" should been worked out before they opened their doors. They are serving our precious kids. Their standards from the get-go should have been exceptional. Had major issues with them starting from weird small bruises; rough handling/yelling by the teacher; their "healthy" snack choices; teachers' lack of education to serve groups of children. Addressed all of my concern both to the headquarter and to local school leadership. Its results: had a meeting with the husband of the owner. Yup. Enough said. My child started a new school nearby very recently and oh man, what a difference. For the first time, my child isn't screaming and protesting from going to school. New teachers are just incredible from being able to control a huge group of energetic children to being able to communicate with children without taking away their developing autonomy. I recently ran into a former third-party staff who used to serve my child. When I informed her that I've transferred him out of Lightbridge. She gave me a sigh of relief and told me of times when she would questioned the quality of this place. And believe me, she has all the credentials and education to back up her bearing. I've been sending my baby girl there for almost a month and I am very pleased with the care and love that my child has been receiving from Ms. Gabby (her teacher) and all of the staff! As a first time mom, I was very anxious the first week, but the directors and staff (esp. Ms. Gabby) has embraced her like their own so the anxiety was very short lived. The directors and staff have been very accommodating to addressing all of my concerns in a timely manner. I love the frequent pictures and updates, but I especially love the live cameras. Lightbridge Academy is heaven-sent. Imagine having to send your young child to day care during a pandemic. Being a new mom, I already had separation anxiety and adding COVID-19 fears and protocols to the mix was overwhelming. However,Joanne, Debbie and the team guided me through it. They understood how difficult it was to trust them with my pumpkin and held my hand every step of the way...almost literally! Their responsiveness to every question whether through a text or phone call was comforting. There were moments when all I needed was the advice and support of another mom and they were there during those times too. Although the team is wonderful, it would be unfathomable not to showcase Joanne. Jo Jo, as my son calls her, has been my lifeline. She always makes herself available to speak with me (even after hours). Her encouragement, smile and laughter go a long way. Kindness and flexibility also stand out at Lightbridge. The staff truly understand the nuances of parenting and work with you. It's a result of how much they value the children. The culture is created from the top and is reinforced. Debbie is awesome and patient. It cannot be easy having an office full of children wanting to play with your phone as they enter and leave the building (my son in particular). LOL Shout out to Emily, Amanda, Gabby, Anet and Tania...you rock too! In addition to the support Lightbridge has given my husband and I as first- time parents, they provide a safe and happy place for our son. Finding reliable and trustworthy child care is a parents priority. Which is why we choose and have been part of the Baldwin Lightbridge family since our son was 6 months old. Having visibility to the classroom via the parents camera view has been amazing for us, along with detailed daily reports we receive at the end of the day. Unfortunately we had to stop attending during the first 9 month of the pandemic, however Baldwin Lightbridge academy was our only option when we needed outside childcare again. The school has great resources and is constantly introducing the children to new experiences. This fall the fire department went to the school to teach children about fire safety. The children were also able to climb and sit in a fire truck. our son was blown away with this activity. As a first time mom, it was extremely difficult to bite the bullet to trust others to care for your child while your working. I am beyond happy to have found Lightbridge academy. Besides being blown away that the facility was modern, updated, clean and organized...what really made me choose this daycare was meeting Joanne. She was sweet, understanding and genuinely cared about every child in the facility as if they were her own when she was speaking about the program. As I took a brief tour, the children lit up when seeing her. Her loving demeanor with the babies and toddlers sold me! This spoke volumes to how well the adults build nurturing relationships with the children there, which made me so happy to see as a parent and a teacher. My daughter has been in the mobile infants room for over a month and I am still blown away at how much she's learned. It was a rocky adjustment in the beginning for my 15 month old to get on their daily routine but Joanne had already given me a heads up of what's typical (the tears, the refusal to eat, ect.) and reminded me it gets better...which it did! My daughter is now dancing on her way to the car and gets so excited seeing the staff in the morning for drop off. I love that the entire staff including everyone working in the main office as well as the teachers in the facility are all hands on. Everyone pitches in, which makes it comforting to know everyone is vested in the community. My daughter also started the program knowing about 25-30 words to now 80! She's using more sign language at home, loves doing crafts and has improved in her eating abilities which I was worried about. Her teacher Ms. Selisha is patient, loving and caring. Being able to pop in and see the updates on the ap and watch me grow always make me so happy as the kids are always engaged in some type of activity or play with her which is amazing to see. If your thinking of choosing this day care I'd def check it out and meet the staff. Debbie was extremely patient, informative and personable. I was allowed to ask many questions without feeling rushed. She made me feel like my concerns and potential needs were the highest of priorities. My child has unique needs. She explained that their were other children that had this need.She assured me the staff was prepared and willing. She then went above and beyond by connecting with a parent who could provide me with a personal details of their light bridge experience. To say that I was impressed, thankful and heartfelt is an understatement. I've never felt the amount of care that light bridge portrayed. My toddler son started Lightbridge in Sept 2021 and in just the 7 weeks he's been there he has thrived. He is so happy to go to "school" everyday. He enthusiastically waves hello and goodbye to his teachers and aides at the start and end of each day. He is started to recognize colors and numbers and singing out loud. The daycare uses a great app called Moment Path uses real time communication with parents/teacher. When children move classrooms, when they eat, what activities they are working on, pictures of activities throughout the day. I use this app when I need to speak about something right then and there and always get quick responses. I communicate with the directors via email when it isn't an urgent matter and they respond in a timely manner. There have been some questions and minor concerns (this is my first time having my child in daycare and it has been an adjustment for myself) and I am pleased in how each situation was addressed and handled. I am happy about the different activities that my son has throughout the day which is not all play. In addition to the typical circle time there is art, yoga, sign language, and Spanish. Each week has a different theme and the students will learn about the topic of the theme, have activities based on that theme. It's an excellent way to keep their interests without changing their routines. There are cameras that parents have the option of watching for an additional cost. They are very community oriented. The fire department visits during fire prevention week. They provide a discount to law enforcement and first responders. In addition, the program encourages (but does not obligate) the fundraising for a scholarship foundation to give back to community students that are interested in education. The only negative (that is no fault of their own) is that due to covid-19 and completely understandable and reasonable, the children's linens (crib sheet and blanket) are returned daily for washing instead of weekly so drop off daily includes lunchbox and linens. Our 2 kids attended Light Bridge for about 2 months. We had access to their cameras and saw an employee handling 1 of our children very aggressively. Our son was upset during nap time and the aid in the room was holding him down. when he wiggled off the mat he was laying on she grabbed him extremely aggressively and pulled him back. I wouldn't call it abuse but no child should be handled that way. I also recorded the aid picking children off the floor by 1 arm. Very scary to watch a child be handled this way. They are very expensive (more then almost every place in the area) I expected it to be a good place but they are new. They are also a franchise which I didn't realize and don't like. The teachers have helped my son flourish socially and adapt to a structured classroom environment, especially after being home with me several months during the pandemic. When we started looking for a childcare provider for our son we knew that we wanted him in a center where education and safety would be key priorities. As soon as I and my wife took the tour we fell in love with it and knew immediately that this was the place for our kid. During his time at the academy each of his teachers have been loving and attentive towards him. We love the bond that our son have with the staff and family oriented it is. They created very nice curriculum to have him prepared for the school and have created such a warm, safe, nurturing environment here, and I can't imagine having my son anywhere else. The staff also are so incredibly patient, caring and fun. My son enjoys his time at academy and is happy on drop off and happy when we pick him up. Recently toured and didn't get a good vibe. The lady in the office seemed distracted as she was dealing with serving lunch and personal issues on her cellphone. Place had cameras which was nice but, my gut said to leave due to what seemed to be a lack of organization in the building. School was clean and decorated nicely. Just wasn't what I was looking for in a daycare. Decided to sign up at another local place instead. I was looking for more of a "school" not babysitting. read more

I am not a fan of this day care. I was an employee for about a month right when the center had opened. Keep in mind I have 6 years of day care experience and the staff here acted like I was stupid. The director knew the parents were watching us so she would come in to make herself look like a hero! Mindless to say I left because I develop bronchitis so I couldn't make it to work. when I called out the assistance director Penny was extremely nasty and felt like I should come in anyway! Um last time I checked bronchitis was contagious. I can't speak for how the center is now because I ended mg employment back in June. I can only speak on my experience.
