Where do I start?!!! There are so many great things about lightbridge! 1. Postpartum first time mom: our first child we waited a year to start in daycare. When you drop off you have that anxiety that NOBODY can care for your child like you. You know their different cries, their schedules, Cues. They don't know these strangers. What if the teachers can't do it like you? Well, the teachers arent you... they do it like professionals!!! You only have 1 kid... they have multiple. I've walked into the room so many times impressed that they do this day in and day out with a smile. I remember sitting at a red light soon after starting, and my daughter kept putting her hand towards her mouth. She did this a couple days before I realized she was using sign language!!! My husband and I instantly started practicing so we could recognize what our daughter was saying! It was amazing to feel we could communicate with her, and she wasn't as frustrated because we could understand her! As she she gets older, se switches to new teachers. They do a great job introducing them gradually before the full switch! 2. Baby #2 we started at 5 months old. Equal amount of tears in my eyes as I dropped off. I instantly pulled up the camera and watched them hug her and shake some toys to get her attention. My anxiety was related to bottles this time. My daughter never had a bottle. Exclusive breastfeed. We tried introducing a bottle around 4 months, using all the tricks. But no success. How would my baby eat?!!!! I was so lucky that I work next door. The teacher would give it a couple attempts and if no success they would call me and I'd walk over. They let me nurse in the backroom. I did this for a week or 2 until finally the teachers messaged me in the app saying SUCCESS!! She took her first full bottle! They were just as excited and proud as I was. The app communication center is great. Even now, we had an unusual drop off that the girls were both emotional and "off". I can just send a message "how is their day going" and they keep me in the loop!! Great piece of mind! There isn't a bad teacher in the bunch!! All the teachers know our kids names, even if they aren't in their class! We walk down the hallway and they all use their names when saying goodbye for the day!!! read more

My daughter is in the Orange Giraffee room, and we could not be happier. Miss Elyse, Miss Robin, and Miss B are so welcoming and loving. She is learning her shapes and colors as well as life skills. I was so shocked when we were out, and she recognized the color yellow. I know when I drop my daughter off, she is in kind, loving hands with not just her teachers but any of the staff at Lightbridge. During the day, I receive live updates on her activities with pictures. If I have a question, I am able to email the teachers, and they respond during naptime. You are able to sign your child up for a sports class that they have once during the week. I can not recommend Lightbridge Academy enough to my friends. read more

I only have great things to say about this staff. Our son was enrolled in Lightbridge at 9 weeks of age. I was an emotional rollercoaster and scared to let go of my little boy. Great place for our kids. They enjoy all the activities and have so much fun every day. The staff and teachers are great and the facility is clean. Camera access (for extra) is a great feature to check in on my kids. No longer provides lunch (at an additional fee). Does provide extra curricular activities for the kids which is nice. read more

When it came time for us to send our third daughter to childcare, there was no question that we would be enrolling her at Lightbridge. Leaving a child at any age is difficult but a young infant makes it a little harder. My husband and I had no doubt in our mind that our daughter would be receiving the best care at Lightbridge. From the moment you enter the foyer you are greeted by the office staff, then as you turn to go down the hall way the pre-k teacher is always smiling and saying hello to everyone. When we enter the classroom not only do the teachers know my daughters name but also mine and my husbands. When we leave, we know that we are leaving our daughter with a second family. We get constant updates/pictures throughout the day on what activities our daughter is engaging in. At the end of the day all information is updated on our app so we are able to pick up our daughters schedule where she left off at school. One perk that I enjoyed with the app, is that I am able to reach out directly to the teacher with questions or concerns and she can reply back to me. The center does a lot of activities that bring the entire center together so the parents can get to mingle and meet each other, as well as enjoy activities that engage the children. You can not find another childcare center that treats your child like one of their own. read more

The administrators, teachers, and classroom support are completely invested in the kids. They are warm, supportive, and caring. They always let us know how our kiddo was doing -- the little victories and lessons learned -- and treated him like he was their own. read more

This post comes with a heavy heart because I am going to have try to removing my child a few months before he graduates with his friends. I will stick to only this one complaint because I never brought up the many others the Director has done in the past. So the coronavirus has caused the school to close until further notice as of March 18th 2020. In the letter they are telling the families they will not credit the remaining monthly cost for closing. This would be a prorated amount of 459. I know we all have to go through financial hardships right now and in my option this school refusing to give us our money back for a service they can't provide is unethical and just flat horrible. My company is not and would not hold money from families through this rough time. If we do not provide a service we can not in good Conscience do that. Best daycare to send your child! This is our second lightbridge academy due to a recent move. I have to say, the Flemington Lightbridge exceeded our expectations. The staff is so friendly and it's clear all the teachers and teachers assistance are so invested in your child and their well-being as well as education. My son is learning more than I could possibly imagine at 2.5 years old. The app is great and gives you a snapshot of their whole day as well! His teachers love him like he's their own and we couldn't be happier to be a part of the Lightbridge Family! read more

Admittedly I parked in a spot I shouldn't have in their parking lot shared with another facility. However, their lot spots were far from filled, and I wasn't staying long and, well, there were no spots left otherwise. How did they respond? They wrote in permanent marker across the side of my car their disgust in my taking up a spot! A little over the top? A bit zealous in their anger lack-of-management? All I'm saying is that if they can react in such a manner, I wouldn't want them helping raise my kids. read more

Going back to work after my first daughter was born was a very difficult thing to do for me. After all, whoever we trusted with our children was going to spend almost 12 hrs a day every weekday with our child and would have a great pact on her life as she grew. Knowing that my husband and I had chosen a learning center with such experienced and dedicated teachers (because they really do teach your child) and dedicated, friendly administrators, we knew our daughter was in good hands! Now, 3.5 years and another child later, we are so happy that we are still with Alyson, Gerri, and the rest of the staff at Lightbridge! Our daughters are receiving the best care and early education possible from people who take their positions at the center and their roles in our childrens' lives seriously. Our girls are learning and growing and will definitely be prepared for public school when they move into our local school system. The cleanliness of the center is another thing to note...when you have that many kids in one building, its hard to keep everyone healthy...they do a superb job at making sure the health and safety of the kids is their top priority! It shows pride in what they do and in the center that they have built from the ground up...it definitely is something they should be proud of. My children (ages 1 and 4) have been with this Lightbridge since they were born. I have always been so pleased and appreciative of the excellent care and education the teachers and staff have provided to my children. However, I felt the need to write an updated review since the COVID19 pandemic hit. My children returned to Lightbridge when the state allowed them to reopen. The director, Alicia, and assistant directors, Laura and Monica, have been working tirelessly to ensure they keep themselves, our children, and all of the teachers there safe and healthy. Every day, they greet us at the front door and make sure to check every person's temperature (the kids and parents!) and review COVID19 questions/regulations DAILY so that no one is allowed in the center that could have been exposed. They also great the kids and parents personally, with smiling eyes behind kid-friendly masks to ease our fears and make us feel important. The facility has always been beautiful and clean, but I see the teachers and staff going above and beyond to keep things sanitized and abide by social distancing guidelines. I work in healthcare and their current operation is second to none! The teachers and administrators there PAY ATTENTION, they are courteous, they truly care about our kids and do everything they can to help them develop and learn in a healthy, safe and fun environment. I have never felt more reassured that I picked the right daycare for my children and will recommend them to anyone! read more

The Director of this facility is rude and unprofessional, which is a shame because the teachers, staff and the facility itself is the best in the area. The Director rolls her eyes at parents, attempts to pry into personal medical information and badgers parents when she doesn't like the answers to her questions. read more

I have been bringing my children to Lightbridge (formerly Rainbow) Academy for over 5 years. It is difficult to put into words what a struggle it was for me to come to a decision about where to look for care when I knew I had to go back to work after my first daughter was born. I did a ton of research, visited every facility in range of my workplace and decided on Lightbridge for a number of reasons. The staff that is currently there have for the most part been there for the 5 years I have been which is very uncommon for childcare facilities. You can tell when you speak with the staff how happy they are to work with your children and for the management of that facility. I attribute much of the success of the school and happiness of the children to the fact that the staff are happy. Other than this, there are so many other factors that make this the best place to send your child for care. The curriculum is fantastic, my 5 year old is more than prepared to enter into Kindegarten in the fall. She is not only academically advanced for her age, but her independence and ability to work well with her peers is remarkable. The school focuses not only on teaching your child the academic aspects but also focuses on kindness and compassion and helping each other to form a community within each "grade level". Alyson and Gerri make up a fantastic administrative team to work with. I LOVE that they have video cameras in the rooms, at first it was a comfort for me as a nervous parent to be able to "check in" throughout the day, but now I love it so I can connect with my daughters after school by saying "hey I saw you making a craft, or playing on the playground today" my kids think its great that I know what they have done all day. You also get tons of pictures and updates through their Tadpoles system. They send everything you need to know about what is going on at the school as well as individual messages with photos of your child throughout the day. Honestly just THE BEST! Both my daughters LOVE LOVE LOVE going there each day, and actually get upset when I come to pick them up because they want to stay and play longer!
