I asked Larissa the therapist a simple question- "how would this form of therapy actually benefit me?" Her response was "Maybe you should attend seven years of school and you'll know how!" Umm that's not a therapeutic answer to a completely reasonable question, that's someone getting defensive and pulling rank instead of actually engaging with "how is this helping me." A patient asking that deserves an actual answer about the modality, not a putdown. All she did was stare me down, and say I have to share random thoughts, but I told her in my very first session I needed help processing anticipatory grief over my dog's cancer diagnosis. I have been to good therapists before and if I lived where I did before I'd still be in their care. She was absolutely thoughtless when she said "you want your dog to die." In response to my request for some tools to increase my emotional bandwidth while processing anticipatory grief. It was so unkind. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The unproffesionalism is astounding. I decided to give Lightheart a try because I needed greif support. Before scheduling my appointment, they require a pretty lengthy phone call and intake form, in which I shared my background and reason for needing therapy. I was set up with a therapist who I was told would be a good fit. When I arrived, she brought me to her office, made me guess where to sit like it was a personality test, and after already feeling uncomfortable, asked "why are you here?" I countered with a request for her to tell me a bit about herself before we begin, since I was already uncomfortable and I thought hearing about her would give me a chance to make connections and feel more settled. She said, "I know what you're trying to do. You want to see if I'm a good fit for you." Like it was a gotcha moment. I said, "yes, that's exactly right. That's what I'm told this first appointment is all about." Anywho, I started to explain why I was there, and she kept interrupting with questions that were too probing for our first conversation. I get that it's her goal to dig deep and that I'm there to heal, but I felt like she was immediately asking "what's wrong with you" rather than, "tell me your story." She continued interrupting and asking questions that felt very judging, or were just confusing. Once she said, "What does death mean to you?" And I wasn't clear about what type of answer she was looking for. She got very visibly irritated with me after needing to rephrase her question. After each response I gave, she just looked at me with a blank stare. I get that wait time is important when allowing someone to answer questions, but this was incredibly cold and judgemental. Finally, after about 20 minutes I stopped and said, "Thank you so much for your time, but I think our communication styles are different and I think we are not a good fit." In response, she smiled and said, "Yes. I REJECT YOU AS MY PATIENT." Very surprised, I said, "Wow. That's very unprofessional. I'm very uncomfortable and would like to leave." She repeated herself and spent the next 10 minutes (maybe so she could charge me for the time?) diagnosing my issues and repeating that I'm just not ready for help. I was shocked, but just kept repeating, "thanks for your time, I wish you the best." But she would not let me leave until she was done. When I finally escaped, I called Lightheart three times and asked to speak to the owner/boss of the establishment. Each time I called, the receptionists kindly said he would call me back. He did call back once about a week later while I was traveling, and I immediately called back a few more times, but never got through. No other attempts were made to reach me, or rectify the situation. In my message, I asked if it is common for therapists to tell patients that they "reject"them after a 20 minute interaction. Luckily, I can handle it, but many who seek therapy and emotional support would be traumatized from comments like the ones she shared with me. Completely unacceptable. And the lack of any seeking to reconcile or make things right from their leadership is appalling. A few weeks later I was billed for the entire session (of which I tried to leave after 20 min), without any sort of communication. Please consider other options if you are hurting or need support. read more

My Granddaughter met with Marina Youssef one time and we attempted to contact her 3 times after that initial meeting with 0 returned calls. While attempting to contact her the last time, through their portal, we noticed a follow up appointment scheduled we were unaware of. My Granddaughter reached out to let them know she was Not available at the time of the appointment and to cancel or reschedule. No reply, no follow up. Next thing you know we get a $150.00 no show charge. For a mental health group, they are more concerned about the money than thei r patients. Yes, I am her legal guardian and she is a minor. I have the rights to represent her. When you call the number it goes to a receptionist that may or may not be in the office, seems like a mental health clearing house. read more

I found a wonderful therapist through LightHeart. However, if you miss this one very important fact in the small print, you're gonna be very upset... LightHeart reserves the right to take money directly from your personal banking account without notice, anytime. This is for a dollar amount not covered by insurance. I asked to be told about any charges beforehand and it went well for a couple times, but recently they just stole from my account and I was over-drafted. Beware!! Oh, and apparently nobody at LightHeart actually knows if I owe over $800 or not. There's some back and forth. This place is very inconsistent! read more

Good luck establishing care with any therapist or doctor working for this organization. My first appointment was only an intake appointment. It cost me $65 and it was scheduled with a therapist who was going on medical leave at the end of that week. Why would you allow a new patient to establish care with a therapist that's going to be gone indefinitely? I sincerely liked this therapist, but he had to go on leave and told me that LightHeart would automatically reschedule me with whoever was taking on his patients in his absence. My recurring appointment with him remained on the books on LightHeart's chart website for this week, and when I tried to follow up on it day of the appointment, it suddenly disappeared from the chart website and I was told to pick a new therapist again like I did a few weeks ago. In the meantime, I've been waiting for a psychiatrist at LightHeart to establish care. I had an appointment for this week that was cancelled by LightHeart at the last minute due to Dr. Arezu being out sick that day. While I understand that doctors are human and need sick days too, I find it totally unacceptable that the next appointment date I'm offered for her is almost a month from now, after I've already been waiting about that long to see her for my initial appointment. read more

I highly recommend Leia Bellinger. As a man with practically no experience with therapy she really has been more than accommodating. Before, I felt like I ran into people that wanted to read off a worksheet or had a checklist which is helpful sometimes but in the words of her, "We're not robots." We laugh, we share, I feel like it's okay to be imperfect after the last few weeks seeing her and that's cool. She lets me talk uninterrupted and that's rare these days. These are NOT professionals. And they will hurt you if you pay them. I am experiencing grief over a friend who died in a mass shooting. It was highly covered in the news and his corpse featured regularly in the pictures. Obviously grieving a mass shooting means discussing shootings, but these unqualified fools heard me say the word "shooting" too many times, called the police on me, and instructed my therapist to ghost me. You can imagine the pain i am in. If you are a current victim of LightHeart, go elsewhere. read more

They are QUACKS! They are not professional, the environment looks like they raided a bunch of garage sales for furniture, picture and assorted garbage. The actual person ( and I am not using the word therapist as they are anything but that), was ill-prepared. Her name is Larisa Liuticova, and after filling out all the forms with a detailed explanation of why I was there, she looked at me and asked me, "why are you here?". I told her why, then she asked me to tell me about my childhood, which had NOTHING to do with my reason for being there. Then, she would just stare at me, say nothing, and not answer my questions. I asked her why she was not talking, and she said sometimes it is better to be silent and just listen. Translation: she was clueless. It was weird, creepy, and it was obvious she had no idea what she was doing. After 20 minutes, I told her it was a colossal waste of my time, ridiculous, and I walked out. As expected from a sham operation, never heard another word from them. read more

Update: the owner responded to my review on Google with fallacious information, saying that reports are 25-35 pages of in-depth analysis and that there is regular communication. My report was only 17 pages, many of which was taken up with copy-paste information about how the tests work, *not* with usable information. Further, I had to continuously email my provider to get care - there were multiple times that my emails were fully ignored, and I had to send follow-ups to get care. These lies show an utter disregard for dignity, and it disgusts me that this company chooses to make money off of people's suffering rather than aim to help them. Don't sign on with lying psychologists. Horrific. read more

First off let me start by saying the staff here is very nice and kind towards its patients. Then there was my therapist , Dr. Kathleen Worsley was so inconsiderate of my health and my situation. I cant speak for the other therapist here but i can speak for her. I struggle with physical and mental health issues and to her if you have to reschedule due to those health issues she will refuse to work with you. Her staff called and cancelled one of my appointments due to over booking and the next time i saw her she confronted me like i was the one who canceled on her when it was her staff who canceled on me??? On top of that if you are looking for a therapist who truly cares and isnt cold towards you during your sessions she is not the one. Ive been in therapy for a long time and had great success with other therapists and due to my insurance being being changed to Medicare due to my health there was not many options. She is one of the only people who accepts medicare so i decided to give her a try and boy was i shocked with how temperamental and cold she is towards people she treats if she doesnt get everything her way. Then the kicker was i had an appointment scheduled and due to medical issues i was unconscious and ended up in the hospital and missed my appointment, i called to let her know and she didnt want to hear anything i had to say, i told her i had the papers from the dr., And that she could call the hospital on my behalf and she didn't care at all. They also charged me double for my appointment because of my medical issue and the fact that i wasn't able to make it let alone pick up the phone to call them and she proceeded to tell me very rudely that they didnt have my correct medical insurance and that she went ahead and closed out my account? I proceeded to tell her i wasn't aware of the fact they didnt have my correct information and asked why her staff never contacted me and she then told me, thats not my problem?????? How is it not your problem its your staff???? Shouldn't they call me and say hey, we have the wrong information for your insurance can we please fix this??? Then i apologized for being ill and not being able to make it and and she proceeded to say Goodbye and hung up on me in mid sentence. I strongly recommend that if you are low and feeling down, if you have medical issues and cannot make it in, please do not choose Dr. Worsley because frankly i honestly dont think she would care if you died. Im completely blown away how a trained medical professional with her years of experience could treat someone so unkind and rudely over them having a medical emergency!!! Im sure glad she took my money and didnt help or try to help me one bit thats always great for people on a fixed income who could have used that extra money for food. I dont even have a problem with her charging me for the regular session but double because i was in the ER is just not ok.
