Finally,​ we buckled down and made the resolution that in 2019 we MUST feel that God was calling us to the church during our first attendance. Low and behold January 7th we stepped into Celebration and never looked back. I mean come on with a belief system of: We are all about Jesus. We are welcoming. We are authentic. We are diverse. We are intentional. We are faith-filled. We are participators. We are generous. We are others-focused​. Where can you possibly go wrong? Anywho onto the main points. Currently,​ the church is meeting at two locations of Howard Middle in downtown and Edgewater High in College Park. The vision is to be good financial stewards and raise enough capital for a permanent location. Get ready to be seriously welcomed at our church from the parking lot all the way to when you leave. Let's​ talk about​ safety. Children's​ ministry has a police officer always on duty at the entrance along with two other officers and tons of security from all backgrounds of life spread randomly throughout the church. Doors are locked at all times and check-in and check-out procedures for children are tight-knit with identification badges out before you can even go in the direction of children's​ ministry. Don't​ have little ones? No biggie there is Sub 30 available for young adults and RIOT. RIOT is a place where middle and high school teens can hear a message geared specifically for their audience. More importantly,​ they can meet during the week for groups​ intentionally​ designed with them top of mind. You can tell when a message is truth when you're​ turning the pages of your bible or looking at the verse available on the projector often. Come prepared to read from the bible and unpack it with our pastors, the Phillips. Don't​ forget to get your weekly dose with community groups. Celebration​ understands we shouldn't do life alone and we have nailed down all sorts of groups from coffee to fitness, and even brunching on how we can spread the word of God. There are signs and welcoming people everywhere to help direct you (parking is right in front of the school and never too crowded). It just honestly feels like home and that you belong with no judgments. It's non-denominational with outstanding pastors that are genuinely caring people who will talk to you after service. You would NEVER guess this church is located in a middle school because they dress up & transform this beautiful building so much. The worship is so talented/AWESOME and very different than anything I've ever experienced... I feel like I should be paying to get in, that's how great it is! I also feel extremely safe because they have security and deputies everywhere. Did I mention the free coffee yet? Yep, free and delicious coffee from Credo. They also invite the homeless in and treat them so well, it makes me feel honored to go here. It's definitely a trendy scene with lots of young people but they have groups and other opportunities for every age and every walk of life. They do so much for the community and it's members with Jesus being at the center. They have so many ways to get connected so you don't get lost in the crowed, which usually happens in big churches. I am forever grateful to find my church home that makes doing life alone impossible. If you're in Orlando on a Sunday you've gotta check this place out! It has made more of an impact on my life than I can imagine. God is doing big things here and I'm so grateful that I get to be a part of it.

Awesome church! I haven't actually been to a normal service on Sunday, but I have just completed…read moremy first year of BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). They host the men's BSF class for Orlando. We meet there, in the main sanctuary, on Monday nights and then break into small groups for a while. We finish in the sanctuary for the lecture and then get the notes & lesson for the next week on our way out. It's a great way to study the bible. It's an interdenominational group of guys, in fact only a small percentage of them actually attend First Baptist of Winter Park for normal worship. I plan to go to a normal service this summer, during our off season. BSF runs during the school year and they provide free day care while we are in the main session. They have children's leaders that teach the kids of all ages the same lesson that we study, just in a different way. There's no excuse not to do BSF. They have classes in every major city all over the world so if you travel for work, or if you are on vacation, you can just email the class administrator ahead of time and they will set you up with a small group. It's crazy, you do the same lesson where ever you are. The organization was founded by women and is still mostly women, so there are plenty of options for the ladies that are interested. Child care is provided and they have both daytime and night classes in just about every city. First Baptist Church of Winter Park has hosted the men's class here in Orlando for over 14 years! To begin with, Journey Church is a pretty big church with lots of visitors. They have plenty of parking and there are volunteers directing traffic. There is a tent for new visitors with lots of information. I got there while worshipping was happening and I felt the spirit through their songs. I loved how at home I felt by this. Immediately after it Pastor JJ Vasquez started preaching and, wow! He is funny, informative about the word, and keeps you fully engaged.

He speaks the word of God so well. He makes every single sermon relatable and understandable for anyone. The slogan of this church is to make Jesus accessible to anyone and that is exactly what they do each and every Sunday. The church is growing so much, they've been around for nine years And started in a living room and now they have thousands of people attending several different services at different locations and even online. I love participating in small groups that really helps to create community among such a large church. And they always have wonderful events for couples and women and teens and more. Recently, my close friend and her daughter started attending and her daughter even got baptized, which is something they do at the church. I believe three times a year.

Men & Women pastors, members of all ages, a plethora of programs, a Monday night service for young adults, a gorgeous courtyard, a great Jr High and Sr High program (probably about 100 students total), close to lots of fun on Park Ave, traditional and contemporary services, a great choir, great preaching, a healthy amount of parking, lots of mission work, a separate service in a lower-income part of Orlando. Lots of great things going on at this growing and open-minded church. Personally, I wish that there were more people closer to me in age (28). But other than that, this is a great place, especially if you're looking for a more traditional looking & sounding church (classical music) that is also open-minded and open and inclusive to all.
