    Match made in heaven

This gem is more than a theater it is a community space. We went for bingo night which is promised to be every Thursday. The two hosts were so funny and made it such a fun night! The prizes were legit with a couple tickets given out for each win. There were 12 games in total so plenty of opportunities to win. In the last few games they even had a prize wheel where I won movies for a year! The grand prize was a gift card to Victorian Corner. I can't believe the tickets for a year wasn't the grand prize!! The popcorn was flowing and perfectly salty. It paired well with the $6 Mai Tai IPA from Alvarado Street they had in cans. Support the theater and the Bingo Boiz!

We had an incredible dinner at Lighthouse Cinema! You wouldn't expect a movie theater to have food this good, but it was honestly one of the best meals I've had in the Monterey area. I tried the Salmon with Greek Salad and the Meatballs with Fettuccine, and both were fantastic. The salmon was perfectly grilled and the pasta was rich and comforting. Whether you're staying for a movie or just want a great dinner, I highly recommend checking this place out!

Great theatre! Easy parking, friendly staff and not crowded. Even when a movie is a new release, the crowds are light.

I love supporting local business. Place in clean, walking distance of my house. Good selection. What else is there to ask?

Love being able to step out into a town rather than a shopping mall after seeing a film. See some fine films over the years here.

Located right in Del Monte Center, parking is easy, and it's surrounded by plenty of spots to grab a bite before or after the film. Inside, the theater is consistently clean, and the auditoriums feature big, comfortable seats with crisp projection and great sound quality. The staff is nice. Solid place overall.

One of them said do you want anything extra and he said no just add some butter but they did not add butter. Then another guy came over and looked at my husband, like it was a pain that he wanted a bag. Someone behind my husband said ooh. I want to get a bag of popcorn, and the second guy said to the customer behind my husband, I'm sorry these bags are only that to go bags. My husband felt like he was bothering the workers and left without getting the butter on my popcorn, which I was extremely upset about. I didn't learn that. There was no extra butter in the popcorn until my husband brought it to me. I said believe me, if it had been me, I wouldn't be writing this yelp review because I would've told the guys that I wasn't leaving until I got butter on the popcorn. So the movies may be great at the theater, but be warned about lackadaisical service.

The bouncer to the left told them to be quiet but they didn't listen. They had been distracting for most of the show but I wish the workers took it more seriously. There were many of us that kept gesturing for them to keep quiet and nothing changed. If they didn't listen to the bouncer and it kept happening, they should have just kicked them out. This kind of dampened my experience since there is no management for the experience so if I'm going to go to a show and people can just do whatever, then I'd rather not go. I'll pass on this venue.

On this day filled with live performances featuring a variety of music genres, Wrockinfoose ended the night with great rock tunes to keep the crowd engaged and in good spirits. Some kept it moving on the dance floor, with others relaxing in their seats simply enjoying the sounds of the band on stage while spending time with loved ones. The balcony level was not open on this special occasion. But the first floor's comfy theater folding seats, with velvety cushions, were of decent quality. And the ornate details and artwork on the auditorium walls and ceiling made the place look like a castle from the inside. It was a lovely setting for an exciting countdown to the new year, and altogether we had a delightful experience.

Third Thursday at MMA La Mirada: Open until 8:00 pm the third Thursday of the month…read more So here I am, fresh from a four hour drive across our beautiful state, fresh from checking into my hotel, ready to spend a little time looking at some beautiful local arts n culture. Now, pay careful attention to your GPS, folks, because I totally missed the drive the first time. I arrived, but was afraid I had arrived at someone very fancy's personal estate. It was dark, oh so dark. But there must have been 30 cars, so I parked with all the others and walked toward the building. I guess first I walked around the building. There were two places I could see light coming from, and I picked the one on the left. Folks, go for the one on the right. I walked around back and into the rose garden. I was still a little afraid the master of the house would set his royal guard dogs on me for prowling. Back to my car. I'm hustling. I'm thinking, "there was a sister museum that was also advertised to be open late, maybe I should go there!" (apparently that was wrong anyway, cause it;s First Friday at MMA Pacific Street not Third Thursday, but in retrospect I was pretty confused all around). But first I try the other place where light beckoned. It is an adorable, old fashioned door. And all of a sudden, I'm on the other side and inside this beautiful land of art, curated by beautiful people and enchanting enclosed within a historic estate (see, eg., chandeliers, dainty little bathrooms, gift shop in what feels like a dining room). Almost everyone was already in a lecture about art restoration, so I slowly wandered through the collection without having to navigate a crowd. It was super enjoyable. The kids area/library was a place I'd like to spend more time, and the gift shop was well priced. I'd definitely like to go back and see the outdoor area. It was, as hinted at above, almost pitch black at night.

The setting of the estate is intimate, comfortable, warm, and the roses add amazing color. For our May wedding, the roses were in their first bloom. They were gorgeous and the scent during the ceremony was heavenly. The guests enjoyed having cocktail hour in the rose garden; they were snapping photos of the blooms and it made for a beautiful back drop. Reading some of the other reviews; it makes me sad to think people picked this place apart! My husband, family, and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our events coordinator was Mel Cota. She is FANTASTIC! This gal does not skip a beat! Not only is she kind, detailed oriented, compassionate, and communicative; she was able to turn my vision and my wants into a perfect wedding day. The day of flowed effortlessly and was seamless, all thanks to Mel. Having recently received my wedding photos from Michele Beckwith Photography; I am so thankful we went with La Mirada. The grounds of the venue came out amazing in the photos. Classy and elegant! Being able to take photo's upstairs in Elizabeth Taylor's room with my groom was such a treat! This place truly is a five!
