The theatre itself was nice, updated, but the numbering of the theatres was confusing but wasn't difficult to find our movie. We saw the new Superman movie which was ok. It's was the last showing of the night we had a good time. If we were back in town we would see another movie there I'm sure. read more

My only complaint is they don't serve alcohol like the theater in Salinas, a beer would've been nice. First off I would like to say I am normally happy with this theater, I am fifteen but have seen many R movies here with no problem! However I am leaving for Albania and was hoping to see obsession since it's not offered in that country. All my friends have seen this movie (also fifteen) and said it was amazing! I already bought tickets but when I showed up the workers were very rude and said me and my friend could not watch it. I explained to them that I've seen many R movies and that they let my friends watch it. They sent me to several people to get a refund all who were rude and unkind. I will not be coming back to this theater ever again. I don't know why this has now become a problem. I would also like to add the theater is not very sanitary and the workers look like they hate their jobs! I would advise everyone to go to the Marina theater instead since the staff is nice and welcoming and the seats are very comfortable. I can see why the Albanians don't like this country! read more

Pretty nice theater, good snacks and amenities, but the sound is so loud that we have decided to stop going to the place. I have talked to employees many times to turn down the painful and earsplitting sound but I've gotten a bit frustrated at having to do this just about every time. Recently visited Cinemark theater while in the area. The movie we wanted to watch had a lot of showings to choose from. We ordered our tickets ahead of time (Fandango), chose our seats, and on arrival we get our tickets scanned at the main entrance. Wish this theater had the nice reclinable seats. But, at least the seats are comfy. I also thought it was strange that men and women bathrooms are on opposite sides. Concession stands are well stocked and have a good variety of treats to choose from. read more

Had our grandson's birthday party here. Staff was very helpful and space worked out great. Food cost for a bunch of kids hit the wallet hard but it was worth it. This movie theater is located at the Del Monte shopping center therefore it shares the seemingly always full parking lot. The concession are abundant as a plus but my biggest problem the seats, they are sooo uncomfortable, at this point it should be standard movie theater policy to have recliners. Yes this theater is old and yes the bathrooms were dirty.. I can agree with all the other reviews on that. I am particularly annoyed at this establishment because of their new bag policy.. you're only allowed to have a 12x12 purse. Well I did have a 12x12 pliable purse that I used to put my scarf and make up in etc. The lady checking tickets at the door was rude and humiliating when she made me compare my purse to the sample size they provide. My purse was just the right size .. I could even make it more compact as it was not full.. but this employee still would not let me through. She was very rude about the ordeal and dishonest.. my bag was of the size limitations. Anyways I had to leave my bag in my car.. stuff my wallet, keys, make up, winter clothes all on my person just make it into the movie.. all the while feeling like a bulky mess. I understand safety is an issue.. but then just ask to look in my bag.. don't make me feel like an undervalued customer. Anyways.. Staff don't listen, sound level catastrophic, paid $8.50 for Sunday matinee of Bob Marley biopic, lights in theater turned on twenty minutes into the movie (after 40 minutes blasting adverts and previews). No one in theater, but manager threw me out for no reason. Unbelievably toxic, will NEVER return, will warn men in my local branch 28 of SIR. Marley movie seemed pretty great, but a truly horrific experience. Be aware Cinemark is run by compplete idiots and you may get a taste of awful customer service if you go there. read more

Average mall theater. Situated in an outdoor mall area, this theater is located surrounded by a parking lot. On a Monday night with light mall attendance, I easily found a spot in front of the theater and bought tickets without wait. Pricing was average. There were discounted prices for children and seniors. The theater entrance was at the center of the building with the snack bar in the center and theaters on the left and right wings. Thought it was a good layout until I discovered the men's restroom was located in the left wing, the women's in the right, and my movie was on the right side. Not convenient at all especially since I had to walk around the snack bar to get the restroom. Consolation was that the snack bar was very nice. Restrooms were clean enough. The theater I was in had stadium seating so there's really no bad seat unless someone really tall sits in front you or you're stuck in the first three rows (neck cramp zone). Customer service was also average. Decent place to catch a movie if you live close or are at the mall. I wouldn't go out of my way to drive far to get here. read more

On our trip to Monterey my honey wanted to catch the movie Kong so we found a theatre. It was an easy drive from Cannery Row and an easy find. I wish we would have come earlier because the theatre is right next to the mall. Parking was easy and well lit because we got a late night showing. We walked up to the window of the theatre where my husband said hello but was greeted back with an ugly stare, after he started to order our tickets the rude lady turned on her speaker so he repeated our order. She gave us the price and we paid, I believe those were her only words. She was rude and uninviting. The guy at the snack bar was super nice, helped and said more 3 words to us! The popcorn alley was full with pre-made popcorn, so ours wasn't fresh, but I sure enjoyed it. I'm pregnant, so that might make a difference to you popcorn snobs. The ICEE was even more delicious! The theatre was clean and not crowded at all, which was good but also kind of creepy because it was kind of dark to me. Not very many lights. Of course I had to use the restroom so I went before the movie started. As soon as I walked out I ran straight in to a men's room, so of course I thought the woman's restroom was right next door or nearby. NOPE!!!! It was alllllllllllllllllllllllll the way on the other wing! So naturally I was glad I went before the movie started! One hit wonder for me. We were enjoying our long weekend in Monterey and decided that seeing Logan was a must. This was one of the only theaters near us that was showing it. It was great for us. The pop corn wasn't that great, which was disappointing. Everyone goes for the pop corn, come on! The staff and the theater were great. Nothing to complain about at all. It wasn't some magical experience, but it was enjoyable for a random decision to go see a movie in a small town on a weekend evening. Parking was full, but that is because they share their lot with the mall. Don't let that be an indicator of how full you think your movie will be, you'll be mistaken. Really... you can't take five seconds and wipe off a counter that is ten feet from where ur standing??!!! There was also popcorn all over the floors in several places. Wife used the facilities and had the same comments another reviewer had.... plugged/dirty toilets, overflowing trash cans, no seat liners. The other review with these comments was four months ago so this is an ongoing issue that nobody gives a shit about!! (no pun intended) CLEARLY management doesn't care... This is only the second time I have been to this movie theater. When I went in I had planned on getting a small bucket of popcorn, I walked up at the concession stand and asked the gentleman to help me. He then pointed to two other girls that we're standing there not doing anything either. When I asked them for popcorn they gestured to a case that was behind me full of prepackaged popcorn. Apparently it was too much to ask for them to actually get popcorn and put it in a paper bag for me so I decided considering how much they charge for popcorn to not get any at all. How long have those bags been there? An hour? 2 hours? Overnight? Honestly why pay 3 people to stand at a concession stand to point at a case with pre packed popcorn? I've been in customer service my entire life and the sheer ridiculousness of this was beyond me. The theatre was clean. The women's room was never found. Why not put it next to the men's room? This theater really blew me away with its quality. Extremely clean, quiet, granite (possibly fake) everywhere, amazing bathrooms, standard prices.. every thing was perfect in my eyes. I would of liked a cheaper matinee price but maybe I am used to Ohio prices, being a newcomer to California, everything is more expensive, should just know this by now! I will come here for my movies from now on if I have the time to make the drive all the way from Salinas, without a doubt! read more
