I have two boys, 2 and 4, and could not be happier with how well they are taken care of. Ms.Elva is my two years olds besty and is such a great teacher to all those little 2s. She takes time and give so much love and attention that he sprints to her room every morning. The kinder crew (Kenzie, Cortlyn, and Cindy)are amazing. They spend so much time planning fun activities for the kids and my four year old sometimes tells me he'd rather be at school than with me (ouch lol). The admin team also deserves a shout out. Deena is bar none the best person Ive ever dealt with in a daycare setting. Professional and sweet and always ready to help. They have so much going for them that I can't possibly fit it in on here, but suffice to say, I will alway recommend them for their team of amazing people and the love they show to our kids. Thank you guys for being the village we need.

My daughter recently started pre-k here and she LOVES IT!!!!…read more Let me tell you more about my daughter so you understand why this is such a big deal: My daughter is very very very clingy to me. I guess you could call her my little "Velcro" baby. She doesn't do well meeting people for the first time as she is a bit shy... at first. As soon as we walk into the facility she was greated with this huge mural of the sea and colorful fishes, she was impressed!!!! "Wow mommy!! Look at the fishy!!!!" Very welcoming impression for her. My husband and I walk her to her class , once she walks in a teacher dancing with the other children in the back walks to the front and greats my daughter. She quickly took her back back off and joined the rest of the kids!!!!! She didn't even say goodbye to us!! Rember, she's my Velcro baby, this is unusual of her.

Honestly what I could say is DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE EVEN IF ITS SEEMS LIKE A GREAT PLACE !!!…read more I didn't really have a thought to it because I'm a young first time mom but I took my kid here and the baby had a golden bracelet. Literally on her 3 day of being there I seen her bracelet was gone after I picked her up. I asked to look at the cameras again and they said no which we have access on our phone to look at the live Camaras. I talked to the owner and he let me see it and it showed my baby went in the diaper room and when she came out she didn't had her bracelet anymore. The teacher there kept playing it off that my baby was playing by a near by trash cans when I just seen my baby the door. Then they try blaming it on the janitor that they threw it away by accident. They try to give me next week half off but yet they didn't care about her. On her 2 week of going there to the day care I understand my kid didn't wanted to share chairs but this kid has no reason to bite my baby. I picked my baby up and had a bite mark and they never called to make an incident report. They stated that my baby didn't cry which I believe it was a LIE as well because my baby had that bite mark for 4 days in a row there no way my kid was just standing there looking stupid with out saying anything and letting a kid bite her that hard. After I talked to the owner he said something to them but yet the next day THEY were trying sit her away from ALL THE LITTLE KIDS and I kept looking at the live Camara and called it in they said supposedly she was hitting kids which she doesn't do that, she pats them that's her way of letting kids know she's talking to them because she doesn't know their name or can't even say it. They lady said "so you want me to call every 15 min" I had told her my schedule was flexible and if there was ANY ISSUES TO CALL ME and they never did I kept looking at the camaras and my baby was just standing up and sitting repeating but not hitting any kids. Not just that but I can keep going on about her dippers/wipes and her food as well. After I called in to drop her out of her class because she's never coming back they kept trying to charge me 265 every week which kept adding up to estimating 1,180 which I didn't pay because she didn't kept going, I should of really filed a police report for all of this but I was being too nice and gave too many chances..... like I mention DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE

**Unprofessionalism, Lack of Accountability, and Poor Management**…read more I would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe and nurturing environment for their children. About a month ago, I requested that my son be moved into my daughter's classroom because he wasn't thriving in his original class. The school's director seemed upset that I escalated the issue to the owners, and from that point on, she became noticeably cold and unfriendly during drop-offs and pick-ups. A week later, I came across a troubling review from a former employee detailing major issues with the school's child care practices, sanitation, and management. This review validated many of the concerns I had observed. The review also shed light on a conflict of interest involving the director's daughter, who works as a teacher, and the front desk receptionist, who is her daughter's partner. This lack of professionalism within the leadership team was alarming. When I raised my concerns with the owners, I was met with avoidance and deflection. Instead of addressing the systemic issues at hand, they shifted blame onto the former employee. No responsibility was taken for the school's overall lack of oversight, control, and security. The situation escalated when my daughter came home upset after being disciplined by the director's daughter for no reason, specifically being told not to play with her brother. When I called the front desk to ask for clarification, the receptionist (who is the director's daughter's partner) denied any incident and hung up on me. When I went to the school to address the situation, she walked away from me in front of other parents and refused to speak with me. She even threatened to call the police, which was completely unnecessary. After I called the police myself and made a report, it was clear I hadn't done anything illegal or inappropriate. Despite this, the next morning, I was informed that my children were being expelled from the school. The accusations against me were completely unfounded, including claims of "hate speech" and that I had accosted their staff. This is the same pattern of deflection and character attacks they used against the former employee who spoke out about their issues. It's clear that this facility is poorly managed, with leadership willing to go to great lengths to cover up their deficiencies. There is blatant favoritism and a lack of accountability, particularly when it comes to the director's daughter and her relationships within the staff. I'm thankful this situation came to a head, as I now realize my children deserve to be in a safer, more professional environment. I would never trust this facility with my children again. The efforts to get this review taken down have been so grand that today I received a call from League City Police Department informing me that there was an effort to press "harassment" charges for this review. I'm glad the law of our state overcame their intimidation tactics making their efforts unsuccessful. Steer clear of this place if you love your children!

Now that I am no longer an employee I feel as though I can leave my records of experiences with an open mind. A little about myself and my past experiences - I've worked with children for 14 years, and due to my husbands military career I've had experiences in multiple states with all age groups and in all positions. I came to visit Texas 3 years ago in preparation for our upcoming move from Virginia. I was prepared to deliver my resume all over League City to find my perfect fit. My search didn't last long. I walked into CLA and was immediately impressed, the building is beautiful and oozed cleanliness, the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming and suddenly all my nerves disappeared. I filled out my application and interviewed with Assistant Director, D'Anne. The conversation flowed and she seemed to approve and I was able to meet with Director, Vanessa. She walked me through the school and was honest with me about where she felt their weaknesses were and what her expectations would be of me. The upfront honesty and willingness to look into herself and her school with such unbiased eyes was a welcome feeling. My mind was made up - CLA was to be my home away from home upon arriving to Texas. The curriculum is outstanding - different from anything I had seen before. The kids travel to a variety of enrichment classrooms throughout the day; in each room is a planned and prepped activity for the kiddos, so they are engaged and active throughout the day - even our preteens were happy to be there, and if you have one you know how mind blowing that is. They truly are like family within that building. It was unlike any experience I've ever had. My training was lengthy and thorough. The training management made sure I was well aware of not just CLA policies but all Texas State Minimums - and coming from another state I was so happy to have had that thorough of a training period. The overall feel of the building is a happy one. When you walk through the halls and peer into classrooms you see smiling kiddos, teachers on the floor or at the tables working with their students - learning is evident with just a quick stroll down the halls. Personally, I have grown in so many ways thanks to my time there. Vanessa is not just interested in seeing her school grow, but her team as well. She pushed me in ways I've never been pushed before and working with her has given me more motivation and determination then I've ever had before. Due to her motivational talks and high expectations I'm happy to say that this school has changed immensely since I started 3 years ago. If you don't believe me I encourage you to check it out for yourself - it really is amazing. I'm thrilled to have been a part of such an amazing place with such wonderful people but I can't wait to see what the future holds for these people. As for the recent negative reviews that have surfaced...all I ask is that you take the time to really think these claims through and before passing judgement visit the campus and ask yourself - would anyone really want a child to fall ill here or lose their life here? As a child care provider, and a decent human being I know it's the last thing that I ever want to happen. Should I ever return to Texas there is no doubt Vanessa will be getting a call from me. I hope this insider review will help you out.

Our son was a true COVID baby, and at age 2.5 we were finally ready to enroll him somewhere. He was very attached to me, and I was so worried about how he would do in a new setting. The Toddler 2 teachers were so kind and patient with him; they knew just how to help me at drop-off, since drop-offs were a huge challenge for my son. He has now been there for 2 years and is really excelling. He LOVES his Early Childhood teacher, and comes home telling me all he learned (really advanced topics, too). He will be MORE than ready for kindergarten when the time comes. Socially, he has become a different child since beginning school here, which I completely attribute to his time at this school. My daughter has also since started attending. She started in the infant class, where I was so happy with the large area for the babies and toddlers to move around, as well as the teachers who provided the best support and care. I'm a nervous parent, and they never judged me for all of my special requests (cut the food this way, etc.). Plus, she became really advanced with her fine motor skills due to all the fine motor work they provided. She is now in the Toddler 1 class, and has been loving it. She has really blossomed socially and continues to improve with fine motor skills and pre-academics, and is potty trained! The Montessori approach has been a great fit for my family. Both of my kids have learned independence, confidence, and care for their environment. The classrooms are bright and organized. Due to the Montessori philosophy, every item has a place, and the kids really take care to place items back where they belong (even my 2 year old). As a result, the classrooms always appear organized and neat. The playground is very natural-looking with plenty of shade. They also have a covered patio where the smaller kids can play. On top of all that, this school feels like a tight-knit family community. Every single teacher/staff knows my kids, and greets us warmly. I have close contact with the teachers when needed. When I call with any question or concern, the management takes me seriously. The teachers are calm and patient with the children - there is no yelling happening here, which is important to me. There are plenty of fun special events for the kids, which they really enjoy. In addition, a HUGE plus for this school is that they offer Spanish and Mandarin immersion for the 3+ year olds. I plan to keep my kids here until they start kindergarten, and will continue to recommend this school to our friends.

We came here at the start of the Covid pandemic when public schools were not able to provide our family with the reassurance we needed, that they would do everything r they could to keep kids in the classroom. St. Thomas made good on that promise. Now ending the pandemic (or at least I hope so) I am so very grateful to this school for providing a safe place for my daughter to learn. My daughter is thriving in her classes and coming home to tell me about all the amazing things she got to do and learn while at school. The teachers are so helpful and go above and beyond to educate. During science fair, I had a newborn at home, and Mrs. Vetter took my daughter aside to help her create her science project board, even helping on an administrative day, when the kids were out of school. The last few years have been very difficult on all schools and I feel like St Thomas, as small as they are, have provided us with a safe, happy and educational experience. In the 2 years we have been here, my daughter has excelled in her classes and we can see a huge difference in her reading, math and science. Her love of school is so obvious, she comes home excited to tell us what she has learned. She learns Spanish EVERYDAY! Spanish is included in the daily curriculum, which I find so awesome. They spend tons of time outside, my daughter comes home dirty most days, lol, she is playing, having fun and is happy here. I am so grateful for St Thomas. Schools have had it hard these last couple of years, it has not been easy to hire, get classes covered and stay open.St thomas stated open, masked up, taught outside, used cleaning procedures and fancy air filters, all to keep kids in school. Now, we are happy that these precautions have lessened, and will continue to lessen as the community spread lessens Also, a reviewer said that the school hired a sub without a background check. It is my understanding, because I asked the board, that the sub was background checked and had references through CCISD. St thomas runs their own, but during this time they used a substitute teacher through CCISD, which isn't their normal practice to be fair, but because their own subs were also out sick or at home with someone sick, or were already teaching elsewhere, they used a sub that was in good standing through CCISD. It is my understanding that the public school is asking parents and college students with a small amount of hourly credits to teach bc of the difficulty with hiring during a global pandemic. As a parent, I am okay with how that was handled, given the current climate. St thomas has been bc a wonderful learning environment for my child, we love the small classrooms, amazing teachers and friendly environment
