Fantastic place to launch off for a fishing trip and highly recommend Captain Steve. Plan on 3-4hrs and no need to bring anything except sunscreen and water.

    Nasty shower curtain!

Expensive cabins but nearly clean and tasteful. The beds are all noisy! Not much for kids to do. Swim at the dirty lake edge. They can play on the rickety swing set. Neither the shower head nor tub drain work. The shower curtain is FULL of mold. We won't be back.

We rented a pontoon boat in the morning and I was shocked and irritated to see the extremely worn boat they had reserved for us. One cushion was missing so that seat was unusable. It had obviously been heavily used with no attempt to repair or update the boat. When I asked about switching and using one of the other boats, we were told they were reserved even though they were still there when we returned at 1:30 pm. Check in was fast and efficient. They went over the numerous damages to the boat before we departed. We had fun, but I would definitely look elsewhere to rent. If they would invest a little bit of money to repairing their boats, they would get higher marks from all involved.

We stay here almost every Memorial Day. We really like the variety of cabins with sizes to meet our gathering size. The grounds are clean and well kept. Great marina. There is a food truck that makes burgers but haven't eaten there. This last trip we took the Island Girl Sunset Cruise which is nice trip to the damn and back. Good for families.

How much do you charge for wood, and how many pieces are in an order?

It’s $20 for a 50 lb bag and we deliver it to your site or cabin. It’s about 2 fires worth.

We went on a dinner cruise with 3 kids on the island girl double decker boat to watch fireworks this past weekend and it was AMAZING.

I learned from the two young men working yesterday that once COVID threat has subsided this location will begin renting paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and pontoon boats again. In the meantime, the store is recently re-opened and sparsely supplied with some basic camping supplies, snacks and drinks, Havana flip flops, hot/cold thermoses/water bottles, and yacht club tanks/tees for sale. It's a small, humble establishment but was doing some steady business fueling boats. **I'd love to see this place offering fresh burgers/deli sandwiches but maybe that'd bring too much of a crowd of hungry boaters;). Speaking of hunger--to support this local business, I purchased my first ever pickle in a pouch! It was a a Tapatio's Salsa Picante and it was delicious!! My partner was skeptical but enjoyed his fair share;) Fortunately, there are many trash bins throughout the state park (where we headed after) to dispose of the leftover pickle juice and pouch. If you're supplied with some whiskey, this would be great for campsite/onboard picklebacks!!
