They failed to show with no notice even after they require a 48 hour cancellation notice on the part of the customer. They send multiple emails and texts reminding their customers of their cancellation policy and the need to meet their cleaners. This has happened to me. It is also happened to a dear friend that I sent as a referral. They will not apologize. 2. They promised a team of cleaners. The one employee who did show was wonderful. 3. The first couple of times service went well . The last couple of times only one cleaner was available and my home was not thoroughly cleaned. I still have dusty ceiling fans and light fixtures. They also did not move or vacuum under anything. Yes, even if it seen - think under a kitchen chair. 3. Management is unresponsive at best and unconcerned. I waited around for two hours expecting my cleaners (I received two reminder texts, informing me that I would incur cancellation charges). Keep in mind. I was running a few minutes behind so my cleaners left. I received no phone call. I finally called them. No apology. No explanation. I got a callback saying we will reschedule you. That was it. I cannot recommend this company due to ongoing reliability and communication issues. I originally scheduled service with the expectation of two cleaners, but in recent visits only one person has been sent. The cleaner herself is excellent--professional, hardworking, and doing her best--but one person cannot reasonably complete the full scope of work. As a result, items like ceiling fans, light fixtures, and floors under kitchen chairs have consistently been missed. Most recently, my scheduled appointment was missed entirely with no notice. After waiting two hours, I called and was only offered a reschedule, with no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Communication has also been difficult. Calls to the numbers listed on their website often go unanswered, and return calls have come from unlisted numbers that are not clearly associated with the business, making it hard to reliably reach them. For context, when I was once about 20 minutes late and unable to reach anyone by phone, the cleaners had already left and I was initially told I would still be charged. After my complaint, they offered a 1x reschedule but did not provide a consistent form of communication. gave this company multiple chances, but between missed appointments, inconsistent staffing, and poor communication, the service has not been dependable.

I have never experienced a cleaning company that I had to chase like this one or where the owner is 100% invisible from beginning to end and never exhibited any appreciation for the business or even once asked me how the cleanings were going after a few cleanings. Owner never asked for feedback. Perhaps it was because my location (Durham) was on the "fringe" of the owner's service area and the inadequate quality of services and customer service she provided me wouldn't impact her business. I DID provide unsolicited feedback to the owner regarding the issues. Below is my experience with A Cleaner Home. Before I hired this company, I was assured by the owner's estimator that quality checks were performed periodically. I used this company for several months and a quality check was never done. Some tasks that were advertised on the company website for a Regularly Schedule Cleaning were not performed, i.e., the hardwood/tile floors were never swept or vacuumed prior to being wet mopped; glass tops were hit and miss, inconsistently cleaned. I was paying for cleaning services that included the company providing cleaning products and cleaning tools. At times, the cleaners asked to use my vacuum cleaner and cleaning products. The owner did not provide the two cleaners who were assigned to clean my home with working, functional equipment/tools, i.e., mop pads are frail and extremely worn and ineffective in use. Cleaners asked to use my vacuum for rugs at times because their vacuum was broken. The cleaners even complained about the condition of their tools. I had to ask the cleaners to NOT rinse out their mop pads in the kitchen sink. They started out using the kitchen sink for this even after the sink had been cleaned and did not re-clean/sanitize afterwards and until I asked them to use the laundry sink instead. One of the cleaners, we will call her Sandy, is a bull in a china closet. Her execution of cleaning is highly questionable. She doesn't receive simple request very well at all. I had to ask Sandy multiple times to stop leaving too much water on the hardwood and tile floors. When I mentioned this about the 3rd time to her, she turned her back to me and walked to another part of the house when I was in mid-sentence. This was extremely disrespectful to me and my house.  My only regret in this instance is that I didn't ask her to leave my house immediately for being so disrespectful.  Sandy's method for cleaning the floors was to remove the top from the spray bottle and "chuck", yes "chuck", the bottle contents across the hardwood floors rather than spray the cleaner on the floor.  The first time I saw her "chuck", she then walked around the same floor, in the liquid, for about 10 minutes before she put her hand on a mop handle. Needless to say, I asked her to not "chuck" the product on the floors. If there was something Sandy thought she needed, rather than ask, she would start opening up cabinets until I was forced to ask her what she needed in order for her to stop going through my cabinets. Due to all of the above, I asked the owner of A Cleaner Home to permanently take my home off the schedule for future cleaning.

I inspected the next morning and was not satisfied. I paid for the fridge to be cleaned but upon inspection there was a large mess of chocolate ice cream or pudding still sitting in the fridge. Also there was lots of cat hair still stuck to the outside of the fridge. I did not feel cleaning the windows was even attempted even though I specifically requested that service. To her credit, Teri did come back and remedy these issues. But when I re-inspected after the second cleaning I found that the blinds upstairs were no longer functional and had to be replaced. I cannot recommend this service.

Issues: * Billing: Was initially told service would cost $210 for 2 hours when scheduling service. Was ultimately charged $315. Requested itemized receipt but was only provided standard receipt. * Missing property: My brand new $99 skincare product went missing after service while my other (cheaper) skincare products in the area were still present and organized. I notified management with documentation about the issue and requested reimbursement. I was told they will do an "investigation" first. Despite requesting updates I received no reply to my calls/emails for over a month. After further pressing the issue they emailed stating they will deny reimbursement because they can't prove my missing product was a "result of their cleaning". * When requesting a copy of the contract via email and phone all correspondence ceased with my emails rejected as being "blocked". I know what was in my home before the cleaning and what is no longer here. Based on the billing, missing property, and handling of my complaint, I would not hire this company again and currently filing a NC consumer complaint.
