Our daughter is truly thriving, and it's so clear how deeply loved she is by the teachers and staff. They don't just care for the kids -- they connect with them and treat them like their own. From the first day we walked in to check everything out, we were welcomed like family, and that feeling has never gone away. When our daughter has a hard time saying goodbye in the morning, the teachers and staff step in immediately with extra love, comfort, and reassurance as I'm walking out the door. Within minutes of leaving -- sometimes even before I make it to work -- I already have a picture of her smiling and having the best time on their app. Even when this happens day after day, they handle it with the same patience and kindness every single time. They never act irritated or make it feel like an issue, and that means more to us than we can put into words. The daily updates give us so much peace of mind and truly make us feel connected to her day. We are beyond grateful for the care, compassion, and genuine love the teachers and staff show our daughter. We couldn't imagine a better place for her, and we would highly recommend Bright Adventures Preschool to any family looking for a safe, loving, and supportive environment for their child!

The only bad daycare experience I've had in nearly 8 years, and what I'll kindly refer to as a…read morenightmare. Staff was always lovely, but my experience with management was atrocious. If I brought a concern or issue, the owner in particular tended to come off defensive if not combative. Interactions often did not feel like a collaborative effort to work with parents, but an expectation that you fit her program and not call her on any issues. I'd been waiting to write a negative review until my son was out of program because I expected she would retaliate. This program took over for our previous provider when the rent for the building was increased in late 2023 (per the previous owner - a lease for ~$6k/month wasn't something they could afford, so they were closing for good). Within the first months, they backed out of providing meals (an initial benefit we paid for). They backed out of prorated tuition for closures (over 25 days/year). They did not provide monthly family nights out included with tuition aside from perhaps three times in 15 months. Repeated reassurance and confirmation that there was a slot for my school age son in the morning for an hour before school over the summer resulted in notice one week before school started that they would no longer do that. It was stated this was due to ratios, not price, and no alternative was offered. Staff continued to have their own school age children there in the mornings, however. After less than a year, they increased tuition 25% ($800x25%=$200, totaling $1k) in spite of cutting out basically every benefit they'd promised to provide at the beginning. Additional closure dates were added at several points without advanced notice or update to paperwork, which was disruptive to work schedules. I was left with the unfortunate impression that the owner wanted to push out the clients that had been grandfathered in during the transition at lower rates to increase her profits. By the time a year had passed, none of the other kids my son and I remembered starting with when they took over remained. We only stayed due to proximity to my older son's school, and the (initially) lower rate. Other parents I saw later at a birthday party who had left shared similar experiences to what I had. Upon my son being removed from program without notice after an attempt to resolve a misunderstanding between my mom and staff that occurred while I was out of state (surrounding bedtime issues and the same state-mandated nap/rest period I'd spoken with them about in months past), access to his records and photos in Brightwheel during his time there was immediately cut off. Others' experiences may differ, but I personally cannot recommend a provider less.

She loves teaching kids and she is the absolute best in the county at it. My kids tried out a couple of other schools in Bend before we found Eco-Kidz. After the first week we went from 3 days to 5 days a week because they begged me to go every day she was open. There was no complaining in the morning, no reminding them to get into the car... they were READY TO GO! She has an unbelievable set up at her school. Her Angel Bear Yoga and Meditation was amazing because my kids got more focused, calmer and paid attention better at home because of it. (I think this helped them learn much faster.) Even after we moved out to Sisters they begged me to bring them to her school one day a week so they could still enjoy her curriculum, which I did. They get to travel around the world, learn art by creating all sorts of things, science by growing things, mixing things together and tending to animals, take on animal and human characters in colorful, silly costumes, enjoy the specialized play areas, games and then... there is the awesome play yard. This school is SPECIAL. Today, 3 years later, my kids are both ONE YEAR AHEAD in Math and English... and it's all thanks to Eco-Kids. They learned how to LOVE LEARNING here. In my case, she demanded $100 every time a sitter visited us. If you need to reschedule, then there is another fee to Kayla yet again, even if it is a makeup, as well as a cancellation fee. And the terms of her contract never expire -- you can never use a nanny found through her service ever again without either paying Kayla that per-visit fee or giving her a $500 "theft of services" fee. Parents beware!

In both cases she was able to find us a wonderful nanny and very quickly! For anyone who may be hesitant due to cost, this is the second nanny service I've used (the other one was in California). To me, the upfront cost is completely worth it. Kayla pre-screens and pre-interviews the nannies and makes sure she is sending over highly qualified and dependable people. I've had many friends go through Care.com to find nannies and ended up with unpleasant experiences. It is completely worth the cost for ease and also knowing your child is home with someone who has been thoroughly screened and vetted. My daughter was lucky enough to get in as an infant after my maternity leave and is almost five. They have raised my children along side me. They serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack which is huge in my day to day life to not have to pack this for them. Releasing a child to a parent who isn't signed on a contract while failing to answer repeated calls from the contracted parent. Resulting in child being whisked way for a week to unknown destination or knowing the well being of my child. AAW further failed to even own up or apologize. Questionable billing statements and contrived fees. Poor food quality. Violating Hippa law, discussing billing matters with people other than the contracted parties I have found the owner and daughter to be repeatedly dishonest. I was called to pick my son up due to throwing up. They didn't tell me he had been pushed and hit the back of his head Then started throwing up. Lastly, We showed up at opening to find the owner passed out on the floor. Nice! They may be cheap but as it goes, you sure do get what you pay for. I also discovered I'd been over paying totaling $880.00 in child care fees to which the owner, Shana naturally refuses to refund.
