I had never heard of it, probably because I didn't have kids, but now that we are gearing up for all things baby- I'm on top of where to find the deals. This weekends show was at the St. fair in the Education building. Let me just say the building was FREEZING. It was really cold. There were people wearing blankets. For all of us in summer gear, it was miserably cold. I probably would have looked longer had it not been so cold. We went on the last day with some stuff being 50% off. You have to look at the tags carefully. Some of the stuff says. "no discount". Mind you it was the last day, so a lot was picked over, but there was still a huge amount of clothes left. It got daunting after awhile sifting through all the racks. I scored an adorable little Hawaiian outfit at 50% off. Shirt and shorts. The racks are hit and miss price wise and wear and tear wise. Some of the stuff is reasonable and some of the stuff looks a tad worn and over-priced. They have shows all through out the Twin Cities. Next week's is at the Washington County Fairgrounds. I signed up for the preview hour which means if you're a new mom, you can sign up to go a day early before the masses descend down and start sifting and thrifting. I like the concept of the Munchkin Market. Seems very well organized Check out lines can be long, but they move fairly fast. Toys Clothes Furniture Bikes Strollers Pl;ay yards etc..... lots of baby gear!!! I mainly went for the clothes. I don't mind buying gently worn clothes especially since babies grow out of them so fast.

Good place to look for used baby/kid stuff all in one place, so you don't have to hunt all over…read moretown. I mainly went for the baby clothes, and found better deals than the local consignment stores, and it was nice to be able to actually pick things I liked, rather than buying a pre-made lot from craigslist. Some clothing was worn and overpriced, but most were decent deals and many things looked new. Sleepers, shirts, pants, etc for babies seemed to average $1-4 unless it was a designer label. Onesies I thought were generally overpriced since they are used and even new ones are pretty cheap. Lots of plastic toys available, if you're into that. The bouncer/exersaucer/swing stuff goes fast, so if you are looking for one, do that first and have a plan in mind. Highly recommend going to the Friday pre-sale if you can...it is much less crowded, shorter lines, and more to choose from. If you go on Saturday or Sunday, leave the kids at home, or bring a stroller and a friend, so one person can shop while the other stands in line, and you can trade off. If you go Friday, it's pretty laid back. Also recommend dressing for whatever the outdoor weather is, because the building will be the same temperature as outside.

I always love to check out what's new and shop some of my old favs like the beautifully crafted wool balls for the dryer machines. Sometimes they have crafting events and lots of nooks and crannies to check out. Love of art items, Minnesota'esque things, a make your own bead bracelet in the back...etc. Check them out!

That is to say, I should've brought my own small containers and cash. There were a few things I might've taken home with me if I'd had a good way to hold them and pay for them. (It's a $1 fee for credit/debit under $10 purchase, which... getting above $10 here is actually something that would take genuine effort, lol.) While I was there on a Thursday afternoon, it was quite bustling with people scrounging about. I overheard a lot of chatter from those who are regulars who come in once a week to see what's new to choose from. My guess is there's likely a lot of turnover in what's available, since it all comes from donations. I could probably stand to bring them some stuff I have that's been lying around and not being used. This is not a large shop, but it's packed with all sorts of stuff. Honestly, you kind of just have to go there to experience it. But I tried to take some photos of the kind of stuff you MIGHT see there to give you an idea. For example, I certainly wasn't expecting to see a 55 gallon drum of tennis balls or bottle caps. But there they were! You'll need to parallel park on the street as there is not a lot that I saw, but the good news is that parking seemed to be ample as it's a mostly residential area. They do have a bathroom for customers if you need.
