I have been to Create Space many many many maaannny times! It is where I go when I need a walk in, no appointment needed, want to create and paint something creative with my own two hands. Take it from this Yelp Elite of 5 years. There are good businesses, then great businesses, then Minnesoooooootafabulous businesses who really work to cater to their cliental and provide the best possible creative experience. Createspace is that. Create. SPACE! Your space you choose to make is 1000% your own: from the wood pieces you choose to the stain arrangement of the wood, paint colors, design and accoutrements, Create space caters to every artistic type! My family, extended family, overly extended family, friends, and visiting friends have come here for always a consistently fun, creative, no judgment, all fun loving creativity sort of time. Who doesn't need that sort of experience every once and awhile? I have made 2 small projects (Cat Person, and Reading Makes the World Big) and a customed design for not that much extra saying "Be slow to judge and quick to understand" sign as well as several corn hole game personalized design (corn hole? you do not know what corn hole is??). It is BEYOND obvious that the owners of this establishment love to create arts of work and to help everyone, from those who cannot scribble inside the lines to professional artists, to find their creative mojo at CreateSpace. Stop by this place. Do yourself a favor. It is a haven of creativity and AWESOMENESS.

Katie and Al have thought of everything! They are awesome to design with and have great ideas. It was such a unique way to spend Friday night, making our cornholes, drinking wine, dancing to music, and brought home awesome products. My mom was nervous about using power tools and Katie was so patient and within minutes, my mom was a power tool champ! Definitely come here!

I've been intrigued by the Paint Nite concept for a while now, and I'm glad I finally was able to…read moreexperience it. The first thing to know is DONT PAY FULL PRICE. These are always on sites like Groupon, and you can probably find coupon codes online for their website as well. The event I attended was at the Big Thrill Factory in Minnetonka, and due to the ambient noise from the rest of the building, I wouldn't highly recommend this venue. But the food looked good, and the wine/beer options were reasonable. There were parts of the instruction that I thought went too fast, and other parts that went way too slow. The beginning was a little stressful for me, in part bc I've never painted on canvas before. I am a pretty crafty person in general, but my skills are more from years of summer camp. Our instructor had music playing, and at times it was distracting and very loud. She also kept encouraging us to drink, which I didn't mind but I think some people will find excessive. Our instructor was cheerful, but there are things I think she should have repeated or emphasized more (like using a lot of water mixed with the paint for the first step, and how to do blending better. I have no idea how to do a lot of shading, or work with light) If the idea of painting appeals to you at all, I think you'd have a good time at a Paint Nite event, no matter what your skill level. I can see why some people go again and again! We were there for almost 2 1/2 hours. I wish she hadn't taken such a long break before the final part of the painting, bc I would have liked to stay longer to add more details during the last step, or allow parts of my canvas to dry before adding more things on top.

Initially, we went online together to pick a date with a painting subject that we liked. I think it would be fun to paint with friends, but even better if I actually want to hang up the art piece on my wall! Paint Nite seems to hold all of their classes in restaurant party rooms. There were about 40 people in the class held at Andiamo in Apple Valley. We had our own server in the back private room for drinks or food. Drinking was encouraged, as that likely loosens up some of the anxious people who want to paint perfectly! People were encouraged to use their creative spirit and paint what they feel in the mood to make. Our instructor was named Lisa and she did a wonderful job. She took her time to go through the steps slowly, offered help as needed and had some music playing while the paint dried. Bring a few friends, have a wild time and go home with a handmade creation!

The men's clothing selection was fairly average, while the women's section felt stronger with more variety. They also carry some home goods, though there are almost no electronics if that's what you're looking for. There is not an endless amount of merchandise so don't show up with specific items to buy. The prices were good for everything they had and the staff was very friendly! Note: There are no fitting rooms so be warned.

I tried to park here during the Little Canada citywide garage sales - they have a huge parking lot and it was empty before they opened - I got a good stink eye from an employee walking in and someone else came out to tell us we had to move even before we left the car - aight, should have parked in back where you wouldn't have noticed.... Anyway, after we were done saleing - we did come back to dig through this place and I loved it. Prices are extremely low and there are plenty of good things to find! I bought some things just because of the price (do I really need two pictures of chickadees in heart shaped frames? Or a toy dragon? Or a puzzle? Or a mug with vegetables on it? Of course not!) I also found some really cute booties - I would love to go back and spend more time someday!
