But it doesn't exactly make it any better when the gas station essentially holds you hostage -- blasting a message at full volume just as the gas starts to flow letting you know that they have hotdogs and hot coffee inside. I was visiting Chattanooga from out of state and while driving my car started making some noises in…read morethe engine compartment. I was extremely annoyed because I really dont know anyone in the area and dont know any mechanics. I looked at 5 mechanics and when I called 3 answered but no one could get me in until a couple days except Rivermont. It was my 2nd choice overall since it was out of the way from the hotel I was staying at, but I managed to limp the car over there with a combination of throttling and letting it coast. I let the guys know that I needed the car back ASAP and they had it ready at the end of the same day. Turns out it was a sensor or something like that causing knocking and hesitation. They diagnosed, got the part and fixed it all within 5 hours. I picked it up before rush hour and made it back to hotel and continued my stay in Chattanooga. I don't remember the guys name, but I think he was the owner of teh shop. He was 100% honest with me about what was wrong, he didnt try to upsell me crap I didnt need like other shops do where I live. Since I was from out of town he could have easily taken advantage of my situation and tried to overcharge or screw me, but he has integrity, honesty and respects people and their hard earned dollars. Not just a good mechanic , a good man. He just found out what was wrong and fixed it. I wish I could find an honest shop like this back where I live. I would have them do all maintenance on my vehicles and any repair. Hands down I would go here again, if you are looking for HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY mechanics this is your shop. They are super friendly and always do what is best for the budget. Their prices are the best. I have bought at least 3 full sets of tires from them from them including Michelins that were $40 cheaper each mounted and balanced for the same elsewhere. Today they fixed a flat tire for me at 7:40am and they open at 8am. I was back home in good shape before 8am. If your tires aren't great, Head up Route 58 to Affordable tire.
