I had no idea. She took the card but asked them to take the flowers back. The owner called me and told me what had happened and told me he had refunded my money. I was really surprised. The staff are friendly, kind, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the flowers offered are incredible, thoughtfully sourced, and difficult to find elsewhere. You can order professional arrangements or make your own bouquet out of the flowers sold by the stem. I've been doing the latter, and it's a regular source of joy and creativity for me, and it's absolutely helped with the winter doldrums that often come with being a New Englander. If you need a hostess gift for a party or holiday, there are plenty of options at Cymbidium, ranging from artful seasonal bulb terrariums to tea, macarons, and homemade candles. They also always have lots of user-friendly houseplants to choose from. I've had really good luck with the plants I've bought, including some gorgeous orchids. It may sound corny, but I like knowing that I'm supporting a small business owned and operated by wonderful people, as small brick & mortars that help give a town character are becoming fewer and farther between. I'd rather spend a little bit more for something truly unique and lovely than grab a quick, nondescript bunch of flowers at a grocery store chain.
