Keith from Limbwalker Tree Service was excellent to work with. During a storm last night three trees fell down, two hit my house and one of them remained on my house. They arrived early, removed the tree from the house, cut the trees up into ten foot lengths as requested so my contractor could take them to be milled, they were black locust. They mulched all the smaller limbs and dumped the mulch in my wooded area so I could use it later. They loaded the trees on my contractors trailer also. I found them to be very accommodating and very responsive. I would recommend them and use them again. read more

I had a large tree fall on my garage. I called several services, most of which either didn't respond to my voicemail messages or were unhelpful. Limbwalker was very different. They came out quickly and dealt with the tree. Not only that, but they went well beyond what was required of them. In addition to clearing all the debris, they voluntarily fashioned a temporary cover over the hole in the roof. Best of all, they did this at a more than reasonable price. They've won me over, I'll certainly call them when I next need tree work done. read more

Requested a quote for taking down 4 trees on our property and their price was reasonable. They requested getting approval from the neighbors so they could bring their bucket truck onto the neighbor's property to access the trees. The neighbors wanted to see a copy of a signed contract with proof of insurance to remedy any potential damage done to their property, which is a very reasonable request. Limbwalkers only wanted to provide an unsigned invoice with a line item saying they'd pay for any damage. When I said that wasn't adequate for the neighbor's request, they did provide a copy of the proof of insurance but then, after they already provided it, said they would be charging us another $200 just for "the paperwork cost" of having to provide 2 copies of the (single page) proof of insurance document to us and the neighbors. When we balked at paying $200 just for them to provide proof of insurance, they said they would not work with us. Why a tree removal business would not want to provide a signed contract detailing the work expected to be done and proof of their liability insurance as a matter of course, I don't understand. It protects them as well as their customers. Imagine if you went to the doctor and they wanted proof of your medical insurance before treatment and you told them it'll cost them $200 for you to provide your medical insurance card. Keith gave me an estimate and told me it would be 6 weeks before he could get to the tree. Over seven weeks later Keith called at noon, while I was at work. He left a message on my cell phone saying he would be able to do the job that day and to call him back if I did not want it done. I called as soon as I got the message, 2 hours later, and left a message on his office phone and cell phone that I had made other arrangements and did not want the job done. I had found another business to do the job for less than half the price Limbwalker had quoted me! When I got home from work that day the job was done. He had cut the tree without even speaking to me personally first. Keith did not see any problem with showing up at my home with no one home and no confirmation. I feel he was overpriced and not customer friendly. read more
