Awesome movers! Nate, Eric, and Justin were awesome, they kept things moving along all day, and never slowed down. Nate stayed in the truck he is the Architect. As items were brought to him, he constructed the puzzle to fill every square inch of the space! Take a look at the picture to see what I mean. Nate was very upfront in his quote as well. I had gotten a quote from another company that said they could do it in four hours, with two movers, and a 16' truck. Nate quoted me eight hours, with four guys in a 26' truck. His policy is to quote it so that it won't possibly go any higher, so that when it takes less time, you are pleased. I didn't have the budget for four movers, so we went with three, and got the 26' truck. We got done in 7 hours (minus a lunch break), and still come in under budget. These guys are great! You absolutely will not be disappointed. I helped them as we were moving, and had a knee brace on, and everyone of them asked me throughout the day if my knee was okay. They are genuinely nice guys, and if you hang and help them, you will see they are really funny too. I hired Mountain Movers because a colleague recommended them to me, and after I called several moving companies in Ithaca, they were the most convenient, affordable, flexible (willing to move my furniture at a particular time on a particular evening), and had a good system in place. I didn't have time to get the UHaul, so they had me reserve one (which meant I paid the bill after truck return), and then they picked it up and drove it and used it to move my furniture (~12 pieces) between two homes in town. They were friendly, on time, efficient, and accommodating. They were willing to stay late when the job took longer than I'd expected. They gave me options and ideas for how I could save money while planning the move. When a minor issue arose (which might not even have been their fault), I was impressed with the mover's response that went above and beyond to address it, and the issue was more than satisfactorally resolved for me. Nate and his crew were excellent! Nate was very professional and answered my questions and confirmed the dates and details with me several times along the way - I was a bit heavy on the moving-stress scale and he understood completely. The day of, they were on time, and FAST (not to mention very polite and helpful). We were doing a long distance move and they packed the truck with room to spare and nothing shifted at all over the 1000 mile drive. Everything arrived safe and sound. Nate even contacted me afterwards to make sure that the things they packed arrived in good condition and that we did not have any breakage etc. especially with the larger/fragile items. I would recommend them with more than five stars if possible. We've used two other movers since then (out of state) and they were nowhere near the level of Mountain Movers. read more

Fantastic moving experience with these guys. Communication leading up to the move date was superb, and as was the flexibility they showed in handling all of the logistical headaches moving entails. Their hourly rates were by far the best I found locally and Nate was very upfront with the quote he gave me. On moving day, things could not have gone smoother. Very efficient, friendly workers. I used Mountain Movers to unload a 16' truck that we had driven ourselves. They were great about communicating and flexible about a last minute time change. The two guys that showed up were prompt and worked very quickly and efficiently. They finished unloading the truck in under 2 hours. They asked many questions to make sure they were unloading things in the right places and to make sure I was satisfied with the job. Moved from a downtown flat to Belle Sherman. Very satisfied with the level of conscientiousness shown by the two young guys who also worked with great efficiency.
