The old bar was nice, the new bar lacks the character that the old one has. But the bartenders don't feel super nice and they certainly didn't make me feel welcome any time i have come or had any suggestions on how to integrate besides speak french. The problem is with increasing tourism to these big cities native language speakers should be somewhat unsurprised in a large metropolitan area that people from outside the country come. There should be a sense of community despite the languages at times and the trying to be decent. Paris bars are welcoming, and they don't make you feel inadequate for your accent when you speak in French. This bar is one of the least favourite I have visited. I don't think this bar would hold up in Paris with the lack of conviviality in the bartenders and the lack of "bear family" in our supposed safe zone. If you're not french speaking or have an accent this is not your bar. Otherwise take the earlier suggestion and get some other libations and go back to your hotel. I don't always feel like as a francophone I am treated fairly, with the same familiarity and the kinship of being with other LBGT people. I'm not any less valid and here I continuously feel the atmosphere is xenophobic.

Or you can pick fish & chips for your meal, but I didn't see anyone else ordering this when I was there. The place itself is more like a dive bar than a restaurant, but they have a decent amount of seating inside - most the tables being for 2 or 4 people. The weekend brunch is relatively inexpensive at 12€, but you get what you pay for as I found the quality not that great. The brunch has a decent assortment of savory and sweet things. You don't really get a choice of what you'll get for your brunch as it's all pre-determined based on what is fresh/from the market. When I went, I had the following: - Small salad with one piece of shaved carrot - Just lettuce with a lot of dressing. I found a lot of the salad pieces to be wilty, this had too much dressing, and the kicker was the bug that I found inside the salad. I stopped eating this once I found the bug - it was gross. - Pork stew - I think this was a pork stew, and this was actually quite good, this was our favorite dish of the brunch. The meat was tender and flavorful, and overall this was the best dish of the bunch. - Egg - I think this was supposed to be soft-boiled with a runny yolk, but it was more raw than boiled and when we dumped it into the bowl, it was like eating a raw egg. So we didn't eat this. - Turnip and Potato Mash - I think this is what this was - this was also decent and I had all of it. It went nicely with the stew. - Yogurt - This was a small cup of plain yogurt - it was decent but nothing to write home about. I put some honey in mine. - Bread - The bread was stale and hard which is a travesty in France since there's abundant amounts of delicious bread. - Chocolate Mousse - The texture of this mousse was a little odd; I expected it to be more fluffy and airy, but this was not the case. It was kind of soggy and just odd in texture. I tried one bite of this but didn't eat it. Overall, I wouldn't come back here for the brunch. I'm glad I tried it, but I'm sure you can find better food in Toulouse. Maybe the English brunch or the fish & chips are better than this, but I didn't think the quality of the food was that great here. Not expensive for a wide selection of food, but you definitely get what you pay for.
