My daughter has attended her first musical theatre class and loved it. She's hooked and will be going back again and again for other classes and to participate in the various performances they put on. The owner, Ann McCarney, couldn't be sweeter or make it more fun for the kids. She offers the kids great feedback and just the right amount of challenge to push them to do their best. It's been a great confidence builder for my daughter who has learned to be more comfortable performing for others. It has so much to offer to kids and is already starting to be a great community. They do birthday parties and events, in addition to classes for both kids and adults. I took the adult tap class which was so much fun - and challenging! I love that they offer fun social events for the kids, such as karaoke nights, which is perfect for any tween or teen. Overall great place for all ages of kids and lots for everyone! read more

Opening night of Into The Woods was awesome and so glad I was part of it! The first time I saw this show as a little girl, Ann Pinto McCarney played the Baker's wife and Dean McCarney was the Narrator I instantly fell in love with the show, the story and the music! Luckily just a few years later my Aunt Susan Devine is still taking me to see shows and her very talented friends! Ann as the Witch was top notch, she crushed it! I enrolled in the "My time to step into the Limelight" class for adults not knowing what to expect. I hadn't done any performing in almost 10 years and was nervous. Ann (the owner) was the instructor and she immediately made me feel comfortable. I never felt that I was able to sing or even act, but she told me to throw those thoughts out my head and that not only I could do both, but well. In finishing the class I the confidence I had never had before. I felt that I was finally able to try out for a musical again and did so last week and got a part in the ensemble and I couldn't be more thrilled! I have a teenage daughter who loves to act and sing so we were thrilled when Limelight began offering classes in Fall 2014. She participated in a Musical Theater Performance Class and absolutely loved it! She learned so much and it really boosted her confidence on stage. Since this class, she successfully auditioned for a lead role and got it. Limelight offers so many classes that interest her and they mix it up so there is always something new to do and learn. This is a fantastic place. My daughter was in Annie and loved the experience. She made a lot of new friends and learned a lot. They put on an amazing production in just 11 weeks. She is now participating in "Little Mermaid" and can't wait until the next practice. I would recommend this studio to anyone. It is great because everyone feels special and it is about the experience and not just the role. There are great directors that really have fun working with the kids. Nothing but GREAT things to say about the birthday parties at Limelight. We had a "Frozen" party there for our 6 year old. It was fantastic from start to finish. Ann what fabulous with the girls and made everyone of them feel so special. There was a guest appearance by Olaf - this was an extra charge - but well worth it! The girls all had a wonderful time. Simply the best!! Just what Chester County needed to get the creative juices flowing....our daughter had a wonderful experience with her girl scout troop and hasn't stopped dancing since. Our son has been working with Ann (the owner) for the past 6 years and couldn't wait to begin lessons when Limelight opened in the fall. He takes weekly voice lessons, as well as some theater classes and has loved every minute. Limelight is not just an amazing center for children, it is also for adults!! I took the "Step Into Your Limelight" class this winter, and it brought back my love of music and theater that I had lost so many years ago when life got in the way. Ann helped me regain confidence and helped me overcome my singing stage fright - so much so that I was able to perform at a musical audition without fear! My 10 year old son loves theater and music, so we tried a musical theater class at limelight. It was such a great experience for him! Ann McCarney does such a good job with these kids! She infuses in her workshops hard work and fun- which is a hard balance to achieve! These kids get better because she takes time with each of them, but also allows them to be kids and explore! My 10 year old said that her Musical Theater class is the most fun that she has had in years! The classes and shows at the Limelight have quickly become her favorite activity. She loves the teachers and the warm and nurturing environment is an ideal atmosphere for the kids. Improv class was a blast! This newbie walked in nervous, completely out of her comfort zone and was immediately drawn into a group that was welcoming, funny as all get out and tons of fun. I took my kindergarten Girl Scout troop to Limelight for a wonderful class taught by Ann Pinto McCarney. They had so much fun playing theater games and learning an entire song and dance from a show. They told me it was the most fun they've had all year!!! read more
