I had to replace my CPAP in spring of 2024. When I got my first CPAP machine it was easy peasy. I…read morehad no billing issues and no confusion about insurance. The staff professional was present at the office with any help I needed. It was a great experience. I quickly paid my lease to own portion off after the insurance adjustment. So, why would I think it would be different!? Well, this second experience has been horrible! First and foremost, my new CPAP machine has not been working well from the start. Both times I took it in I was told I wasn't putting enough force on the little water tank when I put it in. (The demonstration I was given left me thinking "it's dead for sure') From the start, the valve connection has NEVER worked without an ordeal. But, all I have been given were silly fixes. When I suggested I had been given a faulty machine that was quickly passed over. I have been very unhappy with my CPAP machine! Secondly, I sat through the payment plan for my new machine and was shown my monthly billing amount and potential pay-off date. Little did I know the Medical Center and the MedEquip Office on the Medical Center campus do not link on the same computer server. Neither of them are able to see what a patient's exact balance is to date. I made countless personal visits to straighten out why MedEquip kept telling me I still owed them money, but Medical Center's billing showed it was paid off and I had a zero balance. Or, I was told, "you changed insurance companies, so you have to start over on your payments, because you haven't met your deductible with the new insurance company." Fishy business over and over. The numbers they would print out did not match our bank statements. Two years later, MedEquip is still saying I have a balance. They are still giving me print outs that do not align with my bank records. What makes it worse are the many people who are telling me they are having the same, exact experience. I've even had Medical Center Staff tell me they are going through messed up billing issues. I believe it is time a massive audit is called for involving every aspect of Medical Center. This is not right and it is extremely upsetting. So, I beg you to take your prescription to a medical equipment office with one viable billing service, with clear and straight forward billing methods. I believe as much money at the Medical Center makes and with all of their massive expansions they can surely develop or require from their branches a high quality billing program on one main frame. I do not buy the excuse that MedEquip cannot be on the same server because they sell medical equipment. Really? Well, this game plan right now is a fail.

My recent experience with Love & Warden was deeply frustrating and frankly unacceptable…read more Following an examination with Dr. Bray, I was explicitly told that coordination with my cataract surgeon's office would be necessary for proper follow-up care. That coordination never happened. Despite clear direction and the importance of continuity between providers for something as serious as cataract treatment, Love & Warden failed to communicate effectively with my surgeon's office or help facilitate the necessary follow-up appointment. As a patient, I should not have to act as the go-between for two medical providers who are supposed to be working together in my best interest. Equally disappointing is the excessive time patients are required to wait in their office. The delays for what should be routine exams are unreasonable. You can plan on sitting well past your scheduled appointment time with little communication or regard for your time. For a practice that asks patients to arrive promptly and respect their schedule, the same courtesy is clearly not extended in return. Between the lack of care coordination and the consistently long waits, this experience has fallen far short of what I expect from a professional eye care provider. Patients deserve timely service and proactive communication -- especially when dealing with something as important as vision and surgical follow-up. Unfortunately, Love & Warden delivered neither.
