After spending over a thousand dollars on glasses that fit pretty good when I tried them on, they still don't fit. I have gone back at least 5 times. They just don't fit. I ordered another pair at that same time that fit fine. The service seems pretty okay, I guess, but no matter how many times I have had this one pair of glasses, they just don't fit. I will go somewhere else to buy another pair. I had high hopes, but it seems like no matter where you go for glasses or how much you spend, they're all made in China and they are cheap crap anymore. The way glasses places seem to work, not just here, feels like a massive scam. It's not the folk that work here, I guess, it's just the product they sell. I've been going to precision for some time now and for the first time I was treated like an idiot. Its some how my fault and im crazy for seeing a shimmer on my one eye glass. I am wasting company money for getting another set of lens. All because he cant see the problem on my lens. He was very smart to me and it didn't matter what I said , and when I turned around the two women behind the glass window was smiling so they were enjoying the idiot as well. Oh and I learned something the eye doctor has nothing to do with the glasses part. so they cant help you figure out why there's something wrong with your lenes either. And the company that makes your lens does a perfect job too with all the new technology nothing can go wrong with the making of your lens. read more

My doctor was great, however, the eye technician was literally trying to get through her day as fast as possible. I had to stop her several times and remind her that while she may have explained this 30 times that day, it was my first time hearing it. I've never experienced medical tests done so mechanically, she didn't even warn me that a machine was going to blow air into my eye. She was speaking so fast during my contact lense fitting, it seemed her only goal was to get me to sign the release of liability forms as quickly as possible. There could be potentially be a billing issue that the office is working through, that I tried to raise with her during the appointment, that the technician just brushed off. Suffice to say, the guys at the Speedy Car Wash down the street took more care to explain their services than she took to explain my contact lenses. read more

Dr. Bunnell was great! I've never been able to wear contacts due to dry eyes and allergies, but she recommended a brand that is super comfortable. Highly recommend her! My only complaint was the wait time to be seen and the wait to see an optician, which was easily 45 minutes. The price for glasses was on the high side. The man in the glasses shop on Saturday was *entirely* rude and condescending for absolutely no reason. I don't understand why pupillary distance is not part of the prescription that the doctor gives you to begin with. Why is it something I have to ask someone else for? After my appointment, the lady who rang me up said I could ask the people in the optical shop to measure my pupillary distance before I left. So, I asked the man in the optical shop if he would measure my pupillary distance, and he said "Any optical shop can do that for you when you buy glasses." I replied that I would be ordering online, and he got instant huffy, telling me that "we usually charge extra for this, but WHATEVER" and he seemingly angrily scrounged the tool out of the drawer. He came over and measured, I handed him my prescription, he filled in PD on the form, and as he was handing it back said "good luck with *that* prescription online" as if I would have trouble getting it filled and I was stupid for trying. I didn't say anything, and left, but that man's terrible attitude has solidified that I will *never* get glasses in the optical shop there. If you can't be kind when I'm asking you to complete my prescription (don't know why we're holding it hostage to begin with) then I *know* you won't manage kindness when I'm telling you for the 1000th time that these overpriced glasses I don't even like still don't feel right. It's terrible customer service and just plain rudeness like that that made me leave my last eye doctor, and I'm not above leaving this eye doctor for the same reason. So I guess I've got some thinking to do over the next year... The exam seemed to go fine. I felt semi-heard when I expressed concerns about getting the same prescription again when I already can't see properly with it...but still walked out with a prescription that I feel is not accurate, and that causes me to squint to be able to see things clearly when they're 5 feet from my face because I was told either I needed to settle or I need to get a completely different kind of contact lens. So after wasting my insurance allotment plus another $200, I may get a second opinion elsewhere. read more

Precision Eye Care's medical service has always been great. I recently purchased glasses from their optical store for the first time. This was my experience. I joined the bifocal club this year and wasn't sure what would work best, but Cece gave great recommendations. The lab that made the lenses wound up taking a month to make them, which wasn't Precision's fault. There was a frustrating communication breakdown with their employee Brian on week four that left me baffled, angry, and unsure I would ever even get my glasses. (The reason for 4 stars) But then they arrived the following Tuesday just after I left town for business. Today I finally got to pick them up, and fortunately interacted with Cece again. My glasses are wonderful and much easier to adjust to than I expected. Cece exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend her if you visit Precision's optical department. read more

My family and I no longer live in Bowling Green, but we come back to his office year after year because the service is so much better than any office I have ever gone to. I had one appointment with this place once in which I felt went well, obviously I was incorrect. I got an eye appointment set and that morning this place call saying they would not see me because inappropriate behaviors at the last appointment. I told the lady I did nothing wrong and I knew it. I asked what I supposedly did and she did not know. The person who knew should have called me which would have been the proper thing to do. I made the appointment a day or so before that information should have been relayed to me at that time and no appointment would have been made and no time wasted. At my 1st appointment I talked about glasses, eyes, some church and some about my deceased father. I have Asperger's a form of autism and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I may seem strange to some people because of that so that might be what happened. I don't know because no one told me. I am sorry that this place cannot accept me. If you are "normal" go there, if you are "abnormal" please do not go there. read more

Our experience has not been the best. I know that everyone now charges for contact fittings. but why does someone need 3 fittings? and you have to pay for each one...stupid. It has been a fiasco to get contacts. My son was supposed to wear them for two weeks before they would order him a whole set. One ripped (he's 13 and new at this), and they said they would order him a new set. Two weeks later, come to find out, no one had ordered them. An order was placed, so I called about a week and a half later to see if they were in. She said 'Oh, does he wear them in both eyes? We only have a left one.' I never said which one ripped. So, we waited another two weeks for the right one to come in. When they came in, she said he would have to see the doctor before he could get them, have another fitting, and see him again after. When I questioned this, she tried to send me to someone in the contact section. She hung up on me, but called back, and sent me to the other section. That person said we did not have to go through all of that. There is more, don't want to type it all, but the communication is bad, and the lady at the front does not seem to know what's going on. We liked it when we went as a family two years ago, but it has changed a lot! read more

I came to Precision, not being able to get an appointment at Visionworks the day I was in Bowling Green. I was told it looks like I might have glaucoma, and they scheduled me for another office visit for the test. I worried myself sick for a week until I took it and it turned out negative. I bought glasses online using the prescription Dr. Baird made. They arrived and I couldn't see out of them. I thought the glasses company must've messed it up. I took them to Precision to have them tested and they were done according to the prescription. And, they charged me another $20 to measure between my eyes? I immediately called Visionworks, had another exam, and the doctor said he could look at my eyes thru his camera and see my eyes were healthy and the glaucoma test wasn't necessary. I waited for the new glasses which are useless to me I now have to return. I told the Visionworks doctor Precision had charged me $20 to measure my eye distance and his jaw nearly hit the floor. I learned a hard lesson that folks are going to big chain eyeglass places, and hometown eye doctors are gouging patients to make up for it. If I LOSE and eye I'll never go back there. I had a poor response with a different eye Dr. so after cancelling their waayyy overdue order for glasses I contacted Precision Eye care. OMG!!!! Their staff was super accommodating and pleasant. The nurse who took me back for my exam was great she did a few tests then sent in the Dr. He spent quite a bit of time with me answering all my questions (at 74 I had a lot) convincing me that I should continue with Tri-Focal lenses. I was then escorted to the nurse who helped me pick out my new frames. I had mentioned I'd like one similar to what I did have already. She went and pulled three frames and brought them over to me. The one I chose was then fitted to me and at that time I was told in 8 to 10 days they would be ready. In 7 days I got a call to come in and pick them up. OMG they fit great and the best part about them was that they were a little wider, lighter, and much better all-around than my older ones. I just moved down to this area from Ohio last year so I'll be honest I've found the best Optometrist I've ever experienced. I will return! read more

They were going to make my husband pay for PD (pupillary distance) even though he paid for it 2 years prior. Several eye doctors give you your PD as courtesy-not Precision You will be charged. Not only that but they will not give him the PD info he paid for 2 years back. Their explanation? It could have changed. He's 49. His eyes haven't changed in length from each other I assure you my take on the reason they withheld his information that he paid for? "Come on in so we can take another 20 from you!" My family and I see Dr Baird and Dr Duvall here. Both are calm, patient and work well with anxious patients, including children. Their staff is amazing as well! The office is new, state of the art and very clean and organized. I appreciate the extra work they did to work with our price range and insurance when it came to getting our glasses made as well. After losing both of my jobs due to Covid, I was lucky enough to retain a few extra months of insurance coverage. I was in desperate need of a new contacts and glasses prescription, so I set up an appointment with Dr. Baird at Precision because they had availability before my benefit expired. First off, I have never felt so rushed through the "which is clearer, one or two?" portion of an eye exam. At the end of my appointment, the doctor said that he would not be giving me a contacts prescription. He said that I had such bad corneal scarring that I should NEVER wear contacts again. For someone who wears contacts every day, this was devastating news. When I asked for more info, he simply said that I could come back after a year of wearing glasses to see if my scars had miraculously healed. He said "maybe" I could one day look into Lasik, or "maybe" a different kind of contacts, but nothing concrete. I continued to question him and he started to backtrack, telling me that other doctors may disagree with his diagnosis and I was welcome to get a second opinion elsewhere. I did not trust the glasses prescription I acquired during the rushed exam, so after using my copay on the appointment, I left without new glasses. I immediately set up an appointment with an ophthalmologist. Unfortunately, they didn't have availability for a MONTH. That meant I had to spend FOUR WEEKS wearing a pair of glasses that were far too weak, constantly worrying that I'd never be able to wear contacts again. Finally, my ophthalmologist appointment rolled around. He quickly told me that, although my eyes had a bit of an issue, I was perfectly fine to wear contacts. Additionally, the glasses prescription I received from Precision was not accurate. So, because of my appointment at Precision, I spent an entire month terrified that I would be stuck in glasses forever. Patients beware. My experience there was terrible. I would have spent ELEVEN MORE MONTHS in glasses if I had listened to Dr. Baird. read more
