I had a number if issues with this clinic. My primary care physician referred me to a gynocologist…read morefor an endometrial biopsy. I know a number of women who have had this procedure and they found it to be horribly painful. It caused some to vomit, most had severe cramping bad enough to require absences from work, and some did not feel safe driving home afterward due to the pain. I called and spoke to a staff member who was rude, condescending and abrasive when I asked about options for pain mitigation and anesthetics for the procedure. I nearly cancelled the appointment then and there, but Dr. Morrison had been highly recommended. I went to the exam and was frustrated that even though I requested options for pain mitigation, their "standard of care" did not include any form of anesthetics so none would be provided. To clarify, I had inquired about the topical application of lidocaine spray to the cervix prior to the procedure, or an option of a paracervical bloc (lidocaine injection in cervix). I was at least told the truth about the level of pain I could expect. I did request she not lie to me and tell me it was just a pinch. I had been made aware that other doctors there don't disclose this information, probably because if women were fully informed they would decline the procedure. Hard to tell the doctor to stop when the "pinch" is actually excruciating pain, and your feet are up in stirrups and completely vulnerable. I was told that it is more painful for some women than others. Some women scream, but most women can tolerate the pain enough to get through it. She could not guarantee I'd be up to returning to work that afternoon after the procedure. My option was to suck it up and proceed without anesthetic of any kind, or schedule surgery with full anesthesia and have a d&c to get the biopsy. So surgery was scheduled. Of course this did delay my cancer diagnosis by 2 months. I had the surgery. I was told by the recovery room nurse that the surgery went well. I was a little disappointed that I did not get to talk to the doctor after surgery. What really upset me the phone call I got a couple days later from a nurse who could not properly pronounce adenocarcinoma. It was like she was reading from a script. She had no additional information or answers and I wouldn't see the doctor for 2 weeks. So, a phone call to tell me I have cancer but no options for additional information or resources, other than "don't get too worried about all the scary stuff you see on the internet". Not anxiety inducing at all. Follow up with the doctor 2 weeks later went ok..Skip to after my hysterectomy (done in Kansas City). My bladder was not responding well after surgery, so I went home with a foley catheter. I needed the catheter removed in a few days, and to avoid driving back to KC they arranged for me to go to Lincoln Center. I can't say the nurse who assisted me was rude. She was friendly, but I was horrified when I was told to undress from the waist down and was handed a cloth the size of a large dinner napkin to cover up with. I had been in the hospital for 3 days with 4 different catheters put in and removed, but never once felt as exposed, vulnerable, and violated as I did by that catheter removal. For the last one removed in the hospital they had me roll up my pants leg and released the balloon and slipped it out. This nurse made me put my feet up in stirrups to remove it, even when I indicated that I'd prefer not to. The final indignity is that she wanted me to walk down the hallway to the restroom for a void test covered only by that small scrap of cloth ( she offered to follow me and hold another one up to my backside as we walked past the other exam rooms. Seriously? I got dressed and thankfully passed the void test because I was too angry and humiliated at this point to sllow anyone at that clinic to touch me again. I felt Dr. Morrison is a capable physician, but the Lincoln Center is sadly lacking in trauma informed care ( with 1 in 5 women the victims of sexual violence its best to provide trauma informed care to all patients),and they do not make any effort to maintain patient's comfort or dignity. My experience with the clinic's general environment is that they prioritize profit over patient care, pushing patients through like an assembly line. In these cases, often the doctors would like to do better, but the system is designed to prevent it. Women are already marginalized, so yes, they "tolerate" the pain, tolerate being dehumanized, and tolerate feeling violated and tolerate being lied to by the medical professionp. As one friend,p who is also a patient there, told me, " What are we suppose to do about it? We are women, so it's expected of us."

The nurse service in Lincoln Center at Urish rd location was horrible. They didn't pass patient…read moremessage to doctor and didn't return patient request for several weeks, and mad and rude treat patients if patients tried to find out answer. They are not qualify and professional nurses who put patient need first!!! You will feel sorry if you chose their service.
