My seats were in the second row but honestly I think any seat would be fine in this theater. Seats were very comfortable, lights, camera and audience participation were all on point. Wish I had taken a photo of the stage before the play started to share here. Two story stage worked well in how we were able to see the characters in private conversations which switched so smoothly between scenes. The play is set in 1937, in the Great Depression with the hardships of earning enough money to meet the family's needs. Serious subjects with lots of humor thrown in. Tears and lots of laughter. All the actors were amazing. So pleased Terry found a cast with so much dedication to the craft, down to perfect accents!

It's a bit quaint (was an old church), so you don't have to dress up. But the entertainment is excellent. I went to see Tulsa! A Radio Christmas Spectacular. It was very funny and highly entertaining. The acting was very good, especially for community theater. The set design was simple, but set the mood appropriately. And the script was hilarious. My only problem was that I sat in the front row on the far side, so I had to turn my neck to see the left part of the stage. In addition, the keyboard was on my side and I couldn't always hear the actors. It wasn't enough to ruin my show, but I will look for a more center seat next time. Afterwards, they served hot cocoa and gave out candy canes. There was time to interact with the actors if you chose to. My husband and I enjoyed our time here and will be looking forward to another show in the near future.

The Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center opened in the fall of 2009, with a 1089-seat, high tech theatre called the Ataloa Theatre. It is U sed by ECU Theatre and Music Departments' events, Ada High School, and Community events, complete with season tickets. It has a large hydraulic orchestra pit, a complete fly system, and a rear projector and projection screen. A large lobby with a ticket booth, coat check room and concession room. Access to the balcony area by elevator in the center of the lobby (or staircases to either side of the auditiorium.)

They always have such a fantastical vibe to them and always have such beautiful architecture. The Pollard offers a small concession stand with a few snacks and drinks. I'll add that I wish they had some adult libations at the concession stand, but with it being a historical venue, I understand why they do not. We sat fairly towards the back, but the view was still great! There really isn't a bad seat in the house. My only major complaint is that the seats were a bit uncomfortable for me. I'd strongly recommend anyone that loves the theatre make a stop by the Pollard. It will not disappoint.
