I just visited The Escape Room with my wife and four friends, and we had a blast! We all heartily recommend trying it out. For those not familiar with escape rooms, the premise is simple. You get locked in a room for an hour and work together to solve a variety of puzzles within an hour in order to escape. I don't want to say too much about the puzzles, cause you'll want to experience them for yourself, but there were locks and keys and codes and all sorts of clever devices. There is also a television mounted on the wall that shows how much time you have left, and allows the folks running the show to provide the occasional hint if everyone is totally stumped (a facilitator watches you from behind a one-way window). Having never done an escape room before, this kind of surprised me, but after being in there for 20 minutes it totally made sense to me. It also added some levity. Escape rooms are new to Lincoln, and at the time of this review The Escape Room is less than a month old. There were a few minor kinks in the room, but we had so much fun that it didn't adversely affect our experience. Also, the folks at The Escape Room offered us a free escape experience at a later date, which we gladly accepted. Looking forward to coming back! read more

Went to escape room with 4 family members and were paired with another team who had 3. At first i was pretty skeptical about it but thought.. eh, it will kill an hour. What a freakin blast! Had a really good time. We didn't complete our task on time but that didn't matter, we laughed our butts off. Everyone had to contribute to the puzzle to make it work. Never did I thought I would be enjoying this, but I had such a fun time!!! My friends and I escaped from the Musicians Room. You get to figure out how to escape using the secret codes that you will find all over the room. This room included playing a tune to have one of the boxes pop open and reveal our next clue. As the time run out, you get a rush of adrenaline trying to escape before staff has to pop open your room. It was definitely worth it! There were only 4 of us so we payed an extra $15 fee to reserve the room exclusively for our group. We reserved our room and payed online. $25 per person. If you escape, you get a bumper sticker! read more

Fantastic experience. My parents were visiting from out of state so we decided to make a trip to the Lincoln escape room with my wife and two kids age 9 and 7. We did the missing musician puzzle and it was great. I thought most of these rooms were geared more towards adults but my kids even helped solve a few puzzles! We all contributed to getting out of the room with just 29 seconds left! The team contributions led to feeling of euphoria by all when we solved it. If I had one complaint, and it is minor, I thought it was a little pricey, but considering you'll probably pay close to the same amount taking 6 people to the movies, it wasn't too bad. But the pricing does make it more of something I would do for special events and not out of boredom. read more

We came here to celebrate a friends birthday and did The judgment room. We were super excited to come but spent 15+ minutes in handcuffs on the first clue because it was not put in the room. Disappointed as it was a waste of money since we wasted so much time because the worker didn't check the first clue or cameras to see why we were struggling. This is the second time coming here where a clue was not put in the room, causing a huge time delay. Such a bummer I'd rather have a refund. read more

Went for a friends birthday gathering. The room we booked was LaCastro's Lair. Good "Halloween" theme. There was a mixup with one of the puzzles/clues not being in the correct spot. We informed the manager and she handled the situation well. Was told the room wasn't reset properly and offered to make things right. We will be back again and recommend it for people who like games. read more

Absolutely terrible. The guy who intro'd us and got us going didn't explain anything, didn't leave us a paper to take notes on. After the time ran out, the (different) guy who explained what we needed to do asked if we took notes and said that if we had it would have been very helpful - and was very surprised we hadn't been given anything to take notes on or been told it would benefit us to take notes. He was very apologetic but offered no refund on the $100+ we had paid despite admitting we should have been prepared better and differently by suggesting note taking. Between the four of us we've been to many escape rooms. This was by far our worst experience. Go to another one. read more

This place is super amazing!!! I seriously can't compliment it enough. My husband and I went here for a little different date night out. We were the only two but the staff was really awesome and gave some hints to help us on our way. We didn't get out, but we made it to the last puzzle and ran out of time. Went here for a little birthday fun with my three grown children and husband. We did the Art Heist Room with another group of seven adults. This is an excellent activity for families and friends. We all worked together and found that each one of us was a needed part of the puzzle. Everybody found some clue that ended up getting us closer to escaping the room. $25 per person and after an hour it turns out that one of the hints was entirely wrong and caused us to spend 20 minutes becoming increasingly frustrated. Initially all that was offered was to show us the solution, I asked them to make it right, was offered a few coupons. I told them we had no desire to give them money again even at a discount. Eventually they agreed to give us an additional 20 minutes, and we completed the room no problem. At $200 for the group I would expect solvable puzzles with correct clues. Would not recommend, they only made the situation right after being repeatedly asked to do so. read more

We have been to the escape room three times now and have had a blast every time! We've always gotten down to the wire. Each room is very well thought out and put together. Alec our room supervisor for the most recent room was great and kept us on our toes the whole time. Did the two room art heist with a group of friends and it was fabulous. Very challenging and a ton of fun.

Seven of us, 4 adults and three teenagers, did the lab room. The design of the room was very professional. The clues were clever and it required some real concentration to solve the puzzles. We were lucky to make it out with less than a minute left. It was a great time, much more fun than going to a movie. Next time we are all in town we will definitely try another one of their rooms.
