Without going into excessive detail, I'll share enough to explain my concerns. After using her services for my 2024 taxes, I ended up owing a shocking amount--something that would have been avoided if I had been given accurate information from Sherry from the start. Throughout the entire process, communication was extremely frustrating. I made multiple attempts to reach Sherry by phone (including leaving messages with both the answering system and front desk), email, and text, but received little to no response. Due to this experience, I hired a new CPA who was able to clearly explain the process and provide the level of service I expected from a tax preparer. While trying to file my 2025 taxes, I was still waiting for my 2024 return to be completed and continued attempting to reach Sherry for assistance. At that point, I realized this situation was not going to be resolved through her. Ultimately, I asked my new CPA to step in and handle my 2024 return as well. They were able to correct the issues; that included incorrect reported income and spelling errors. He was able to complete both my 2024 and 2025 taxes the same day. I hope others do not have a similar experience, but if you have, then you likely understand how frustrating this situation has been.

Quite literally the worst experience I have ever had with an accountant in 30 years…read more 2021 they forget to set up electronic ACH payments, despite telling me they'd completed this. 2022 they realize they screwed up my return in 2021 and had to file an adjustment. 2023 they inform me they never charged me for Quickbooks management in 2022 and they need to charge me last year and this year. I review their activity in Quickbooks, and it is so minimal it's a joke. Pretty much every balance is off. Never mind, eh. I still owe them $6,000 for their efforts. CA Tax Franchise Board tell me taxes weren't paid for 2022. I need to go back through bank activity - Gerry Andrade and co. have been entirely unresponsive, despite numerous attempts to contact them. Go with this firm for your tax returns if you enjoy expensive mistakes and like slow to nonexistent responses, poor communication generally and being palmed off to more junior accountants every year. Pretty sure if I'd stuck with them for 2024 they'd have the janitor doing my return.

I wonder if she actually works there because 13 attempts to contact her have gone unanswered. Her staff is very polite and promise to give her the information, but Hilary has never contacted me. I paid $875 last September for my tax return/filing and they gave me a letter stating they filed it, but the IRS never received it nor did the state of California. I knew this asap because money was never withdrawn as they said it would be to pay what I owed. Little concerning, but I just figured they would check on it and get it done after the first few inquiries. I asked over and over again via multiple methods to see what was going on . I even received a face to face assurance from Tamara, the owner, who reassured me that she would make certain her daughter, Hilary, would call me. That was in December No call. EVER. From anyone in the company as of today, March 26. In January, the IRS sent a letter stating I needed to file which confirmed this company didn't finish the job so, yet again, I drove over and brought a copy of that letter. After months of asking them to help me, they finally filed it in late January, SUPER LATE. Why did it take several e-mails, letters, phone calls, trips of driving 90 minutes roundtrip to get them to do what they were paid to do on time? Meanwhile, I've paid penalties to the IRS and to the state for $735 and still have not received any explanation or apology or reimbursement. Mistakes happen, I understand that, but there is no reason for a paying and repeat customer of several years to be ignored by the very person you trust with your business and personal tax preparation. Three letters to the office, 2 delivered via certified mail and one dropped off in person by a friend, seeking reimbursement for the penalties have gone unanswered. Going to court seems like the only way to get any response which is really frustrating. I have never left a negative review because most companies care and are doing their best even when they fall short. I've tried for months to get someone to respond, but they don't care that I've given over 15 hours of my time driving to and from West LA, going to the post office, sitting on the phone, dealing with the IRS and having to find a new tax preparer. Time I needed to spend with my elderly parents who are battling cancer and Alzheimers respectively has been spent on this nonsense and now I have to go to court. So frustrating.
