6:20 PM Thu May 7 5 * 58%…read moreResent visit I haven't been dentist in 3-4 years as I moved around with the work that I did. I am not retired due to a severe injury I suffered at work and now am no longer to work. So I am retired, living on Social Security disability, and have Medicare which went affective May 1st. I was sent a link to check in before arriving via text and email. The text link did not work, but the email did, which took around 20 minutes to complete. When I arrived a young lady at the front desk as if she could help, promptly gave her my insurance card and I.D. She handed me a tablet to fill out information, which I sat down to work on. I started to notice that that the information was the same as I had completed the night before. I went back to the counter and a different lady was there. I explained that I had filled out the night before, I had even signed online twice and submitted, it said we will see you tomorrow. She acted as though she didn't care or believe me, so I just filled out the paperwork again. I was called back right after I had finished and placed in a room to wait. I waited for a while and a redheaded lady came and got me for X-rays. They were pretty uncomfortable and the stand up machine for panoramic kept circling and knocking me in the head, which I did not complain about. I was place in the waiting room once again, I asked the lady if she could get my I.D. And insurance card as it had not been returned. I waited for a long time and then I was taken into an exam room. I once again sat for a long time, before the dentist came in. I told her what brought me in and she asked if I knew how I chipped my tooth and I did not. She started to check my gums for health and told me she would call out numbers and 1-3 was good, and anything over would could be a gum issue. One by one she called out the numbers and most were 2-3 only a couple were 4 nothing higher. She said that I have gingivitis and a cleaning would require a two step process. The first would not be covered, but the second step would. $155.00 out of pocket. She then asked if grind my teeth and said yes, which she could clearly see. That's why your tooth chipped, and I can't fill that in. She had told me my teeth looked healthy while doing the exam, and I had no cavities. Then after saying she couldn't fix my chipped tooth, she said I would keep grinding it off, while I sleep. She asked if tgrind when awake and I told her no. She said the only way to fix was to crown 5 teeth and add a bridge. They could not clean my teeth today unless insurance covered it. They had me sit in the waiting room again for 45 minutes and I even asked why it was taking so long. They are checking to see what your insurance will cover. While sitting in the waiting area and even in the off itself, I had noticed that other patients were being talked to very respectfully and even joked with. I was treated much differently, and noticed that me being older and white seemed to make a difference in how they treated patients. The lady came and got me and we proceeded to the front. She told me that my insurance would not cover anything but the visit today and that I could always contact Medicare and upgrade my plan to help cover the cost. I explained my situation and that I only have Social Security as income and only a few hundred extra at the end of the month. I told her I could not afford to pay anymore and couldn't pay the $20 thousand she said it would cost. I told her I thought the place was a scam and while I was waiting to be brought up front checked reviews online. I told her that I wish I had checked the reviews before I came. She then said our reviews are 4.5, I said they are horrible 1.5 Star on Yelp. She said on Yelp! Who uses Yelp which I thought was a direct reference to my age. I told her I will not be coming back and I think this place is a scam as I said before. I was treated horribly and will also post this review on Yelp as well as Google. I feel I was discriminated against because my age and race. I haven't felt so degraded and small in my life. So disappointed, I just wanted to get my tooth fixed. My wife which worked in the dental field herself for 15 years said that no one ever without a single cavity should ever require a single crown especially 5 and a bridge

Very disappointing experience at Aspen Dental…read more I had to ask multiple times for a lead apron with a thyroid cover, and was initially told it wasn't available--only for them to produce one when I said I would not get xrayed without it. The X-rays were also painful, with equipment that was too large and cutting my mouth until I told them to stop, they then offered a smaller plate. Then I was told I needed a deep scaling and multiple crowns, which completely contradicted a recent exam I had just six months ago. It all felt inconsistent and more focused on upselling than actual care. I ended up leaving and would not recommend based on this experience.

My wife and I have had just about everything done: fillings, crowns, gum work, bridges... basically the deluxe dental sampler platter. And through it all? Minimal discomfort, zero drama, and not a single long wait. Their laser, painless, "blink-and-you're-done" magic gets you in and out with a filling in about 15 minutes -- just enough time to wonder why all dentists don't do it this way. And the in-house, same-day crown machine? It's like dental sorcery. We don't usually gush over doctors or write reviews -- in fact, we avoid both whenever possible -- but Dr. Schroeder's office truly deserves a standing ovation. As the old dentist joke goes: "Be true to your teeth... or they'll be false to you." And thanks to this team, ours are sticking around for the long haul!

They had to replace them once because they were not right and then charged me $500 to dispose of two caps which is ridiculous for one. Now I have to go to another dentist because one of the caps are compromised and they were ugly to begin with. She did not do a good job and I'm gonna cost me thousands more dollars to have it done right then to maybe have a root canal if you want a good dentist do not go to to .
