I had a disappointing experience with an associate at Life Storage. After researching different…read morestorage facilities, my boyfriend and I decided to lease a unit at Life Storage. We completed the leasing process online, everything went smoothly with that. We arrived at the facility at approximately 5:30pm, located our unit and loaded it up with our things from both of our cars. When we attempted to place a lock on the unit, we were having trouble, we assumed we weren't working the lock properly so my boyfriend went to ask an associate for help, she refused to come and assist but provided instructions on how to apply the lock. We tried what she suggested and even looked at an instructional video online to no avail. We asked for help a second time and were met with negativity because it was nearly closing time, she was still unwilling to assist. We asked for help a third time, at this point, we realized the issue wasn't the lock, but a faulty latch, it wasn't aligned properly, therefore we could not close the unit and add a lock. The associate finally came to help, after three requests for assistance, she did not acknowledge me at all when she walked up. We arrived at the unit and it only took her a couple of seconds to realize the latch was faulty. She told us that we needed to move to another unit, which was frustrating because we had to move all of our things again. She did not offer an apology, instead, she complained that she has to clock back in, she also said that her manager does not authorize overtime and that she would have to text them and explain what was going on. She acted as if she was owed an apology for having to assist us. We signed a lease for another unit, she was silent and had a negative attitude during the entire process. Overall, it was a frustrating and unhelpful encounter that left us dissatisfied with the service provided. Based on that interaction, I would not recommend this facility.

We asked about availability and they were able to pull up a map and show us what was available on the spot. We were given a tour of all available units and allowed to choose the one we wanted. The girl working was knowledgeable and had great tips for things we wouldn't have thought about. They sell boxes, locks, gloves, and other mis items in the office. The paperwork they keep is thorough and well thought out. The facility is clean and monitored by multiple cameras.

A family member recommended this company, and I was concerned b/c of the reviews. However, the move was quickly approaching, and another company I called neither picked up the phone nor called me back. I called Kendrick's and they answered the phone, were straight-up about pricing, and gave me the holiday weekend to think about whether I would use them. Called back the following week, they got me on the schedule. They called to confirm, the day before, like they said they would. Moving day, 2 guys showed up about 15 mins after the appt. time, and quickly loaded what I needed and quickly unloaded it at my new place. I was impressed that they wrapped the main doorframe in both places with pads to protect it - that's a new thing to me I'll be asking other movers for. The two guys were professional in demeanor. Had no surprises on pricing or length of time it took them (which was tied to the price). Needing to move unexpectedly sucked, but these guys made it less awful. Thanks
