I took courses through ASCA University and they run their grading system through Lindenwood University. I will never do this again. Between their weird grading system where they only post grades on the third week of the month to trying to get an official transcript has given me so much anxiety. I finished my courses in Feb. 2026. It is now April and my grades still aren't posted and my official transcript is still on hold. I live in California so I have been emailing Azam, the program manager, back and forth and I can never get ahold of him via telephone. There seems to be a major miscommunication via email and I still can't get my transcript. Never again!!! read more

Went here for a school tour. The campus was nice and had great facilities. There are so many student-led clubs & affinity groups, a NICE rec room area with indoor basketball courts, an updated library with work spaces to reserve--the school definitely has just what you need. The surrounding area of St. Charles has great places to eat or go for entertainment. The school has an interesting history for sure! There was a little trivia session during the informational panel. The tour guides and student speakers noted how accommodating Lindenwood is. People also quote their athletic for being pretty great! read more

I have a BFA from Lindenwood and it is essentially worthless. I directed several movies after getting my degree and no one from that school even acknowledged me. I don't have any connections and a former teacher disrespected me after she left. Overall, I do not recommend Lindenwood for media. I even joined the 1 social fraternity and that was a nightmare of an experience. All they did was sport drink and when I quit drinking alcohol, they all stopped talking to me. That pretty much defines my Lindenwood Experience. I would only recommend this school if you are a foreign athlete. read more

my youngest graduated from lindenwood eight years ago with a bfa in film making had a great experience there bc rents were so high back then we opted to buy her a small condo for years twp thru four vs paying apartment rent we had friends who lived in STL at the time so it was fun to stay w them during her college years she has since relocated back to Colorado building her editing biz tuition was less than any of Colorado's in state rates at the time loved this place. read more

I am going to make this Long story short. I received a bill in the mail about a month before the 2023- 2024 school year was out for $3,000. I was not surprise since that's what we paid for our son to attend the first semester. It is what happened next that surprised me. I called my son and informed him to go to financial office the next day to find out why we were just now receiving a bill with school being less than a month from being over, and to confirm what was owed. My son was told that he did not owe $3,000 but $15000. We were told that our taxes had not been verified. I asked why would you need to verify it every semester. I was informed that they only verify it once at the beginning of the year. So I asked how was my son allowed to register for classes a second semester if nothing was verified and he owed that type of money. I got crickets with every questions I asked for financial office supervisor. I got to speak to everyone but the person in charge of the financial office. I am entering my doctorial program, I have attended two community college and a total of four Universities. I have never been allowed to register for a class owing any money, especially not $15000. It was not enough that my son was recruited there to run track as a freshman and disbanded the boys track team the same year that they started it. My son could have transferred to a school that cost less in the middle of the year had when been made aware of any of this. Now we have to find away to come with $15,000 so my son can transferred to another school next fall! read more

Schools a scam. I'm 13 credits from graduating. I now have to find a different school because Lindenwood does not offer my classes online. Even though I'm enrolled as an online student. Even though my degree is listed as an Online degree. This really screws me as I'm using the VA to pay for all of this. Now that I have to transfer I have to come out of pocket for the new program as I will lose a lot of credits and I am running out of VA aid. Don't list programs as online and then not offer the classes for the program online. If you are looking for a good way to advance yourself while trying to work, raise a family, keep a relationship, have a social life, and on and on...then LU does offer a really great evening program. It's called LCIE, Lindenwood College of Individualized Education. These classes are designed for working adults. Classes meet one night a week for 4 hours, you have some options here as far as what day of the week and which campus. The format is great for all types, whether you have not attended school in years or you are headed straight into college or maybe grad school from another program, you will feel like you have a fighting chance. I would certainly encourage anyone looking to better their education to visit Lindenwood. read more

I attended the St. Louis Rams scrimmage at the University this weekend. The campus is nice. There was plenty of parking... even with a few thousand coming to see the practice. My visit was restricted to the stadium. The bleachers were a bit uncomfortable but other than that, everything else was great. They have a good PA system, nice field, and plenty of seating options including lawn sections. read more

Didn't intend to update this a year to the day--go figure! Anyway, a year later, I have the money to buy textbooks and the admissions rep was much more responsive. Huzzah! I was kind of unsure about kicking up the rating from a one to a four if I haven't started classes yet, but other than a password issue, everything is fine so far. (Well, except for one of my classes assigning SEVEN BOOKS to be read in ten weeks--but no one forced me into registering! *chuckle*) read more

The football coaches are cheap and don't care about their players. only themselves. During some racial issues these coaches ignored important information and a teachable moment. Player lost respect. Some of these coaches have never played the game and some who don't know how to teach the games/position. They act like a click of high schooler. Chatting about players in a negative way. That's not grown men. Coaches are supposed to be men who lead and teach integrity, honesty, respect etc. NOT! The head coach claims to be a Christian and a Trump lover. Not even close to being what would classify as Christian. The coaches had a 2 day over night summer camp (cost $200+) for high school kids and for breakfast one of the coaches pulled up in the athletics parking lot and served cold breakfast ti the whole camp from the back of his truck. If you want to be treated like a human being and learn something about the game of football don't play here. read more

My fiancé and I met at Lindenwood (awww!) when he was a chem major and I was a music ed major. Five years later, we are both headed toward great careers (doctor and lawyer, respectively) and are getting married in September. Lindenwood was a stepping stone in that process, and I'm grateful for my time spent there. I won't say that everything was perfect (Standing in line at 3 a.m. to get classes? Mandatory attendance? Come on!), but it served its purpose. Whenever we come into town (we live in Vegas right now), we always stop off at our alma mater and take a walk to see what's changed. I lived in Sibley Hall, and we first met on the steps right out in front. I still remember having to run nine fans at once due to the lack of air conditioning in the summer and the hissing, clunking radiators in the winter. I prepared for my vocal senior recital in Sibley Chapel and was always waiting for Mary Sibley to come out from behind the organ and spook me or something. If I had gone to Mizzou or SLU, I might not have had all the quirky experiences I had at Lindenwood. Lindenwood is really one of a kind, and I'm really glad I chose to attend. read more

Lindenwood is an average university. They have a good business program and the price is competitive. However, communicating with the school about issues is a no go as not one department knows any information from another. Thier IT team is almost useless and the internet is often down. Lindenwood also thinks they can invade your privacy whenever they feel like it, which might be legal, but is very annoying. I would not recommend you attend Lindenwood if you are able to find a similar option elsewhere. read more

J. Scheidegger Theater is TERRIBLE for concerts. Something is wrong here. We had a group attend Kenny Loggins (rock) concert last week. Each member of the group was shocked that a rock music venue would not even offer a beer during the show. DRY campus policy... the coffee server said. But she also acknowledged she got hundreds of complaints each night and was "embarrassed" and "put in a terrible spot by the venue management" that some oddball policy prevented them from serving even a beer a rock concert. She said it was to prevent underage drinking... but at Kenny Loggins, the average age was about 55, so someone has lost it. Literally, the first rock concert anyone in my group has ever attended where you could not order a single beer or drink of any kind. Absurd. Either add drinks or stop showing concerts. You can get drinks at every fine venue in St. Louis... The Fox, The Powell, The Chaifetz (at a college campus too). I'd like to see a reply from the venue. We had people travel from all over to attend the show and we will not again until they figure this mess out. read more

I obtained my graduate degree through Lindenwood University. The school does a fine job accommodating working adults with flexible classes and several extension sites. Every one of my instructors was an experienced professional working in their respective fields. I really had no problems during my time at LU and would highly recommend the school to those seeking to complete a degree program. Incidentally, I think the main campus is beautiful and well-maintained. From what I understand, LU is one of the few colleges in the country that is debt free, which I also think is quite impressive. read more

I worked for Lindenwood for a few semesters and was a student there for just as long. One of the main selling points Lindenwood gives employees is 100% free tuition. However if you are a veteran they are sneaky and underhanded in the way they do business. They took my GI Bill money, cancelled my employee grant instead of sending the GI Bill money back to the VA the way they were supposed to. Whatever tuition was left that wasn't covered by the GI Bill they charged to my loans while still making me think I was receiving the employee grant. I can also say as a former employee there I didn't care too much about how they did business. Everything there, while I'm sure it was perfectly legal, just seemed underhanded seemed like it was meant to screw students over especially if you were a veteran. Bottom line my recommendation if you are a veteran seek your education and your employment elsewhere. read more
