Schools a scam. I'm 13 credits from graduating. I now have to find a different school because Lindenwood does not offer my classes online. Even though I'm enrolled as an online student. Even though my degree is listed as an Online degree. This really screws me as I'm using the VA to pay for all of this. Now that I have to transfer I have to come out of pocket for the new program as I will lose a lot of credits and I am running out of VA aid. Don't list programs as online and then not offer the classes for the program online. If you are looking for a good way to advance yourself while trying to work, raise a family, keep a relationship, have a social life, and on and on...then LU does offer a really great evening program. It's called LCIE, Lindenwood College of Individualized Education. These classes are designed for working adults. Classes meet one night a week for 4 hours, you have some options here as far as what day of the week and which campus. The format is great for all types, whether you have not attended school in years or you are headed straight into college or maybe grad school from another program, you will feel like you have a fighting chance. I would certainly encourage anyone looking to better their education to visit Lindenwood. read more

I attended the St. Louis Rams scrimmage at the University this weekend. The campus is nice. There was plenty of parking... even with a few thousand coming to see the practice. My visit was restricted to the stadium. The bleachers were a bit uncomfortable but other than that, everything else was great. They have a good PA system, nice field, and plenty of seating options including lawn sections. read more

Didn't intend to update this a year to the day--go figure! Anyway, a year later, I have the money to buy textbooks and the admissions rep was much more responsive. Huzzah! I was kind of unsure about kicking up the rating from a one to a four if I haven't started classes yet, but other than a password issue, everything is fine so far. (Well, except for one of my classes assigning SEVEN BOOKS to be read in ten weeks--but no one forced me into registering! *chuckle*) read more

The football coaches are cheap and don't care about their players. only themselves. During some racial issues these coaches ignored important information and a teachable moment. Player lost respect. Some of these coaches have never played the game and some who don't know how to teach the games/position. They act like a click of high schooler. Chatting about players in a negative way. That's not grown men. Coaches are supposed to be men who lead and teach integrity, honesty, respect etc. NOT! The head coach claims to be a Christian and a Trump lover. Not even close to being what would classify as Christian. The coaches had a 2 day over night summer camp (cost $200+) for high school kids and for breakfast one of the coaches pulled up in the athletics parking lot and served cold breakfast ti the whole camp from the back of his truck. If you want to be treated like a human being and learn something about the game of football don't play here. read more

My fiancé and I met at Lindenwood (awww!) when he was a chem major and I was a music ed major. Five years later, we are both headed toward great careers (doctor and lawyer, respectively) and are getting married in September. Lindenwood was a stepping stone in that process, and I'm grateful for my time spent there. I won't say that everything was perfect (Standing in line at 3 a.m. to get classes? Mandatory attendance? Come on!), but it served its purpose. Whenever we come into town (we live in Vegas right now), we always stop off at our alma mater and take a walk to see what's changed. I lived in Sibley Hall, and we first met on the steps right out in front. I still remember having to run nine fans at once due to the lack of air conditioning in the summer and the hissing, clunking radiators in the winter. I prepared for my vocal senior recital in Sibley Chapel and was always waiting for Mary Sibley to come out from behind the organ and spook me or something. If I had gone to Mizzou or SLU, I might not have had all the quirky experiences I had at Lindenwood. Lindenwood is really one of a kind, and I'm really glad I chose to attend. read more

Place has a nice facility that is doing nothing but growing at an astounding rate. This school is accredited and has a lot of opportunities for anyone in any step of life. read more

I recently attended a show at the arts center at Lindenwood. Wow...what a great facility. I can't wait to go back and see more. It's an easy drive to St.Charles just off I-70 and First Capitol. read more

Lindenwood is an average university. They have a good business program and the price is competitive. However, communicating with the school about issues is a no go as not one department knows any information from another. Thier IT team is almost useless and the internet is often down. Lindenwood also thinks they can invade your privacy whenever they feel like it, which might be legal, but is very annoying. I would not recommend you attend Lindenwood if you are able to find a similar option elsewhere. read more

J. Scheidegger Theater is TERRIBLE for concerts. Something is wrong here. We had a group attend Kenny Loggins (rock) concert last week. Each member of the group was shocked that a rock music venue would not even offer a beer during the show. DRY campus policy... the coffee server said. But she also acknowledged she got hundreds of complaints each night and was "embarrassed" and "put in a terrible spot by the venue management" that some oddball policy prevented them from serving even a beer a rock concert. She said it was to prevent underage drinking... but at Kenny Loggins, the average age was about 55, so someone has lost it. Literally, the first rock concert anyone in my group has ever attended where you could not order a single beer or drink of any kind. Absurd. Either add drinks or stop showing concerts. You can get drinks at every fine venue in St. Louis... The Fox, The Powell, The Chaifetz (at a college campus too). I'd like to see a reply from the venue. We had people travel from all over to attend the show and we will not again until they figure this mess out. read more

I obtained my graduate degree through Lindenwood University. The school does a fine job accommodating working adults with flexible classes and several extension sites. Every one of my instructors was an experienced professional working in their respective fields. I really had no problems during my time at LU and would highly recommend the school to those seeking to complete a degree program. Incidentally, I think the main campus is beautiful and well-maintained. From what I understand, LU is one of the few colleges in the country that is debt free, which I also think is quite impressive. read more

I worked for Lindenwood for a few semesters and was a student there for just as long. One of the main selling points Lindenwood gives employees is 100% free tuition. However if you are a veteran they are sneaky and underhanded in the way they do business. They took my GI Bill money, cancelled my employee grant instead of sending the GI Bill money back to the VA the way they were supposed to. Whatever tuition was left that wasn't covered by the GI Bill they charged to my loans while still making me think I was receiving the employee grant. I can also say as a former employee there I didn't care too much about how they did business. Everything there, while I'm sure it was perfectly legal, just seemed underhanded seemed like it was meant to screw students over especially if you were a veteran. Bottom line my recommendation if you are a veteran seek your education and your employment elsewhere. read more
