I developed pain in my jaw while in Wisconsin with my son. I went to his dentist. The dentist I saw said she couldn't find anything on the X-rays. She thought it was an infection. She referred me to an endontist for two root canals and gave me an appointment for two crowns afterwards to the tune of $6000+. Aside from sticker shock, I was uncomfortable doing that since they hadn't been able to see the problem on xray. Dr. Nawrocki has been our dentist since we moved to Cocoa Beach 13 years ago. I called him to get his opinion. He immediately called in a prescription for an antibiotic and advised me to let him know if that helped. 3 days later the pain was gone, so he said I could wait until I got back. 2 weeks later his x ray showed a large abscess on one tooth. 2 weeks and 1 root canal after that the problem was solved and I have two beautiful new crowns for 2/3 of the price I was quoted in Wisconsin. Eating a bloody rare steak while sipping an ice cold martini after a long day of work brings me SO much joy. Unless.... chewing that delicious hunk of meat causes unbearable pain, and drinking a chilled beverage triggers a jolting intolerance to temperature! Thank goodness for Nawrocki Dental. Now, as I happily chomp down on my favorite rosemary lamb loin from Wal-Mart (trust me, just try it!) for dinner tonight, I reflect on the incredible experience I had with this unparalleled dental practice.  Moving down to Cocoa Beach from NYC at the start of the pandemic in March, I was absolutely terrified of going to any medical office for any reason. After a pesky toothache progressed into full-blown, sleepless agony radiating throughout my jaw on a Friday night, I began to frantically google for a local emergency dentist. Fortunately, I stumbled across Dr. Gary Nawrocki. Even though his office is closed on the weekends, he called me on his cell phone and was SO kind, thoughtful, and helpful, giving me useful advice before he could fit me in on Monday morning. During our appointment, he quickly and literally got to the "root" of my problem, and I felt both relieved and empowered to begin  a treatment plan that would address years of neglected dental issues. For the first time, I felt like I had found a dentist that didn't simply "spot treat" me; rather, he gave me a thorough examination to prevent any similar, painful problems from arising in the future.  Dr. Nawrocki isn't just a highly capable, skilled expert in his field, but he's also truly one of the very best doctors I have EVER known. He's a master of all things dental: fillings, root canals, crowns, extractions, implants, veneers, TMJ... you name it -- this place is a one-stop shop for ALL of your dental needs. (And, yep, I had just about all of the aforementioned services performed, and I could not be happier with everything!) Dr. Nawrocki is also just an all-around great human being. His love of Crossfit and model trains makes him even cooler in my book! (Wait 'til you see the awesome mural and layout in his office!).  His staff is, hands-down, my favorite medical staff of any practice, anywhere. Lina, Theresa, Michelle, and Shannon and co. are professional, friendly, and welcoming -- they truly make you feel like family. I'm as comfortable in their dental chair as I am in my own recliner at home, and I owe that to more than the fact the chairs have built-in massagers and excellent neck support -- it's also the environment that the incredible staff has created for the patients. I was completely blown away by my fellow New Yorker Lina, an employee with beauty and brains and a true talent for the incredible work she does. Amongst the many things she did for me, including easing my anxieties with her wonderful words, she crafted me a life-changing NTI-tss while I waited for my custom night guard. If I was ever stranded on a desert island, that NTI would be one of the things I'd hope to have with me! Walking away from my dental work the past few months, I feel like a queen. And no, not because my mouth is full of crowns, but because I can smile completely pain-free, and with full, unabashed vanity.  Even if I returned to NYC for good, I would fly back to Nawrocki Dental for a routine cleaning or filling. They were super nice and stellar on the covid protocol... BUT the dental service was SCARY. They took 22(!!!!!) xrays of my teeth. That is an INCREDIBLE amount of radiation to shoot at someone's head, repeating some of the pictures several times because she didn't aim well enough. After a pleasant but not very thorough teeth cleaning, the doctor took over. His hands were so shaky he couldn't even keep his hands still enough to take a proper look, needing to clamp my whole head between his arm and chest to keep his own hands from shaking. I was diagnosed with two cavities, and without showing me where they are, without any explanation or discussion a treatment plan was decided. I was not consulted about the type of filling I want, or if I want to do both teeth at the same time or not, nothing. Paid $320 for this frustrating and worrisome experience. Will take my xrays somewhere else and get a second opinion ASAP read more

Don't ever go here. First the administration ladies don't have it together. In fact all of them just suck. They tried charging me full price for a cavity to be fixed when they told me they accepted my insurance when they didn't after I got my tooth filled. Second Mr. Nawrocki the dentist that "fixed"my tooth, well he didn't. 6 months later and the cavity he filled came right out! So I tried calling back to explain my situation and they said they would have to charge me for a cleaning and check out my hurting tooth instead of kindly offering to come in and take a look no cost. LISTEN CLOSELY!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! The office staff doesn't even want to be working at this place . No hi, hello, or welcome. ( scene from GET OUT) It's because he's an controlling, impersonal , unpleasant, angry , rude, indecisive, incompetent, egotistical, overcharging, con artist and he will actually try bullying you. I.E. When I politely addressed my dissatisfaction with the work he attempted on my teeth and possible fixes, he immediately became defensive. What person /dentist walks up to a person, after getting out of their operational chair, and then immediately gets in my FACE!!! Belly to belly, toe to toe and nose to nose?!?!?! He basically came up to me wanting to fight or just to scare me off/intimidate , WTH( lol)!!! I know it sounds like an outrageous story, ITS NOT! An hour later I received a call from his office refunding my money. He needs to retire or have license pulled . (BTW The dental hygienist in the room, at the time of the incident ; she had to separate us and didn't seem shocked by the moment , like it was a normal day for him) Never thought I was going to have a so called "professional dentist" try and fight me‍. This is my dentist and he is a great one. I was having several problems and I finall seen Dr Nowrocki and he figured out what the real problem was. I was sent to several other appointment and it didn't fix my problem. Long story short found out I had an old root canal had gone bad. Well pulled and no more problems. I have a very difficult case of tmj and was worried since I moved from my specialist that I wouldn't find someone who would take the time and help me. Dr. Nawrocki and his staff were amazing! After moving to Florida from New York, I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Nawrocki last month. Years ago, I learned that only a top endodontist could continue my care, as I have so many crowns. In a scheduled checkup with Dr Nawrocki's office, it was found to my dismay that two teeth had serious decay.. In my appointment today, in a little more than an hour, Dr. Nawrocki and his exceptional staff carried out gently and painlessly the removal of the old crowns, prepared temporary crowns and, next week, I will have the new crowns and be again in good oral health..I am posting this review for two reasons; (1) Dr. Nawrocki and his staff are superb. I was very disappointed with this Doctor. He has caused permanent damage on 2 of my teeth that did not need to be worked on in the first place. I came in with never having any issues with my teeth, have been pretty much cavity free. He said I had 3 cavities I trusted him and had him fix 2 of them, and get the 3rd one done later. After his proceeder I'm left with terrible pain that I have never had and have to spend money and time having my teeth fixed. One of the fillings fell out.. Besides the fact he destroyed 2 perfectly good teeth. During the procedure he got into an argument with his assent. It was super unprofessional. He had very odd behavior and was not in the state of mind to preform the procedure. Please do you homework and don't be like me. Now I'm stuck with a lifetime of 2 destroyed teeth. I had always held Dr. Nawrocki in high esteem. That is until I moved back to Fl. after living in SC for a number of years. He admonished me for not being a patient for 10 years !! A little too far to travel ??? I had a severely cracked double bridge ,he had placed in my mouth years back. It was beautiful and i loved it.Due to a nasty fall it was now severely damaged beyond repair. He said I had to lose it and all remaining upper teeth, and was very annoyed that i hadn't been there in so long. He extracted everything necessary and did an upper denture. It never fit properly. I came back several times and finally was so stressed, I sent him a letter asking for a replacement or my money back. when I went to my next appointment he was furious over my letter criticizing him ! I had told him I blamed the lab, and not him because each time he took the impression, it seemed fine but came back not fitting. He refused to refund my thousands of dollars, and tried to repair it again. He was so angry & rough, I actually had a huge lump on the back of my neck when I returned home ! His "fix" was a piece of glue on the end of the left side of my denture. It fit snugger so I left, intimidated,and very stressed. My husband & son both saw my neck and were shocked. I guess I should have gotten legal advice at the time because I am not rich & borrowed & used credit cards to get this done. Recently moved back to the area. Have been going to the same dentist for over 15 years in another city. It was time for the 6 month cleaning and selected this practice because of location and they said they accepted my insurance plan. Cleaning was exceptional, office staff is great. Then comes the doc for the exam. I have 2 issues that I've been aware of and my long term dentist has said they need to be watched. This doc starts the exam and says the issues must be addressed. The forcefulness just overwhelmed me and made me feel the dentist I had been using for a long time hadn't done her job. Time comes to check out and I'm asked to set my next appointment. I say, I'll call. Then I'm told that I need to make appointments to get the two issues addressed. I wanted to talk with my dentist that I have long history with and basically say that I want to wait and call to schedule later. Yes, I wanted a second opinion. This doc wants to put in 2 crowns, not inexpensive procedures.The doc says that it's obvious that I'm not satisfied and he won't permit me to be a patient. All of this because I want a second opinion; or so it seems to be me. He stands there at front counter holding this discussion with everyone around. I do mention to him that the first thing I had said to him was how pleased I was with the cleaning and the wonderful staff. He forcefully states that I'm not pleased and he doesn't want me as a patient. I felt bullied!! There are too many dentists in the area with excellent Yelp reviews. Suggest to others, to pass this practice up and try a dentist that has a review track record with Yelp. I have a long history with dentist. I've had adult orthodontics, full braces, 3 crowns, and have cleanings done every 6 months; I do not have a fear of dentist. After visiting Nawrocki, my stress levels were on max. I actually had to sit in my car for awhile to get over this experience with him. I've just never experienced having my care plan, issues discussed in a very public area with the whole staff and people in the waiting room witnessing a doctor berate a patient. I did not question his evaluation or diagnosis; I simply wanted to delay scheduling an appointment until I had a chance to talk with my previous dentist on the next business day. There are conclusions one can draw from my interpretation of this experience but I won't post them here. This doc sure does have the credentials and good reviews on other sites but it sure wasn't my experience. I left shaken and intimidated. read more
