The Applesap came with a lollipop, and my son loved that. The chicken satay was super tasty and came with crispy fries and plenty of mayonnaise. The veggie lasagna was dense and flavorful. Aside from that, the staff was exceptional. Very friendly, and chit chatted with us. The food was great, but there were a couple things here and there that didn't quite fit in with the dish, but that didn't take anything away from the dish as a whole. Very innovative chefs, so I appreciate all the fancy foam and fancy marshmallow textured thaaangs. :P OMG and the butter cake. Buttery heaven.

Staff equally friendly and beer selection with more German selections. My normal lunch is tomato soup and a salad when in NL and varied very little. But I was craving a sandwich (mmm carbs) so went with 1) warsteiner beer, always delicious 2) tomato soup, pretty middle of road but no complaints from me! 3) tomato, mozzarella, pesto toasted sandwich on brown bread, delicious 4) konig Ludwig witbier to finish :) All in all a good relaxing environment. So I'd say if you are solo come here and if you are with a crowd try across the street (they seem better staffed for crowd..only two waitresses here)

The staff is so friendly, they all speak German, the service is great, it's a beautiful restaurant and the food is amazing. I had the tomatoes, mushrooms & cheese and an apple & cheese pancake. The others had the ham & cheese, bacon & cheese, ham & mushrooms & cheese, ham & apples & cheese pancakes and a salami pizza. Stroop with the pancakes, of course! I could have eaten two each time. So good. They manage to bring everyone's food out at the same time. Even for a group of about 20 people they only needed a couple of minutes cos even the kitchen staff was giving a hand or two. Whatever everyone else in the restaurant got (sandwiches, soups, meats etc.) looked amazing too. Sometimes we wish we didn't live 3 hours away... p.s. try the ice tea! :)

Our meal started off with a wild spinach salad with fresh figs and walnuts and a balsamic dressing. The meal finished with crème brûlée and a wonderful cappuccino. The place is run by a married couple and they are only open for dinner 5 days a week with a total of 10-12 tables. Full is full.
