Ray is a pro. I found him personable and easy going. He likes to explain things in ways you can put yourself in the scenario. I was worried about retiring and did not think I could pull off my plans of early retirement successfully. Ray showed me I could and put together a plan I felt confident about. I'm working the plan and will be on the open road soon. I really like the financial tools he provides so I can make adjustments if necessary. Especially with inflation now a bigger factor. I first became concerned about 'Asset Preservation' when it became apparent the mounting cost of my mother's care (advanced Alzheimer's) would far exceed the sum total of everything my parents had worked a lifetime to build. I became aware of Linker Financial through friends going through the same turmoil and stress who had heard about LFG through Kaiser. Linker Financial Group specializes in Asset Protection and Estate Preservation among other things 'financial.' We called and scheduled a preliminary conversation and then met with Ray Linker, President and CEO of Linker Financial Group, and Louis Pacella, an attorney Ray works with here in Southern California. I'm not going to lie. I'm not going to gloss over my skepticism or initial discomfort. These discussions are uncomfortable and deal with subjects all of us would rather not have to deal with. However, both Ray and Louis were candid and forthright and left me feeling comfortable moving forward with the relationship to warrant retainers for each of them. The process is long, extremely complex and arduous - can't think of a better word. In many cases, as our advocate, their staff was working with government agencies and officials. There were times I was frustrated others when I was a bit confused, but Ray and his staff "stayed with us" reassuring us every step of the way. Perhaps, more to the point, Ray had given us an estimated cost for handling my mother's estate issues which turned out to be far more complicated and time consuming than any of us realized. He honored that estimate despite the fact he had to invest exponentially more time helping us resolve all of these issues successfully. As a businessman I know just how expensive those costs can be and how quickly they can mount up. I also know how much it means to do business with a person or a company willing to step up and keep their promises. In the end, LFG's efforts resulted in protecting more than $100,000 in assets: a substantial part of my parent's estate. They did exactly what they said they would do and much, much more. They invested far more time in the project than they thought they might have to and never brought it up, not even in conversation. While I can't promise that everyone will have the same outcome or result, I can tell you that Ray Linker and LFG, along with Louis Pacella, will be doing our estate planning and that I have recommended that when the time comes, our kids take advantage of their specialized expertise and honest effort. read more

I was going crazy, trying to figure out what to do once my dear Aunt's cash ran out. How was I going to continue to pay for her care in a nursing facility? She had a house. Was I supposed to sell it to get cash? Take out a loan? I googled for info, only to find contradictory, and confusing, 'answers'.
