They overcharged us to the tune of more than double the amount we owed. They were extremely unresponsive. They emailed us an audio recording of our credit card info(long nonsensical story)...which is not only a poor business practice, but illegal. They refused to refund the money until we threatened to go to the authorities about them emailing private/secured information. Not to mention that their services are below average at best. Hello to anyone considering LinkNow Media, please Don't. They called us and because we are currently searching for someone to improve our visibility on google, we listened to their sales information. We decided to sign up with their services, but while we were talking to them about the price, we researched some of their 'customers'. When we couldn't find any, they explained that those people didn't sign up for 'all' of their services. We then asked them to call us back next week (so that we could do more research). They said they were too busy and couldn't call us next week. We said 'no problem', if they felt it was a bother or inconvenience. They changed their mind and said they would call us but we wouldn't get these 'awesome' prices. We said 'no problem' if they didn't want to offer those prices to us, that was their option. Then the salesperson asked why I wasted 55 minutes of his time, that we made him feel like a shitty salesperson (exact words.) So I hung up; I don't want to deal with unprofessional companies!! He immediately called back and asked why we hung up. When I explained that I only wanted to deal with professional companies he said couldn't I understand that we made him feel like a shitty, f#@*ing salesperson (exact words). I normally do not give real bad reviews but this company constantly calls and hangs up on you so when you call them back to see if you had missed a call they say it must have been a bad connection and we lost you and they go into their sales pitch. I have several numbers to my business and I always ask them to take me off their calling list and they ask me what number did we call, they don't know because they just robo call everyone. How many times must I have to tell them to stop. If that is how they market their company by hanging up on you and then you call back then they go into a sales pitch that tells me what type of company they are "TOTAL GARBAGE." Have been a customer of Linknowmedia, going on 9 months I believe. Paying 129.95 per month ( a total of 1,169.55). It was explained to me that this covered marketing for 3 cities of my choice for my business. About 4 months in I complained that I have yet to receive any business leads from my site. I was told it takes time for Google to recognize the site. Here we are 9 months later and over $1000 invested, I am told by my "account manager" John Bogata, that I am on the basic level and the 129.95 is the fee to host my website !!? Very confused, everytime I call I get directed to a different person. John has zero personality and is very difficult to hold a conversation with over the phone. Now after reading reviews of people paying as little as $50 for the same service I have; I am extremely upset because I was told "we are transparent, this is the best price". Since the person that I talked to kept telling me that he KNEW I would make a lot of money if I hired his company, I asked if there was a guarentee. So we signed up for a website. Turns out that the timing for our business wasn't right primarily no time and overwhelmed with everthing we have to do to get established. I called them and was worried that we wouldn't get a refund, based on other reviews. They were very responsive and understanding and refunded our money- said they would since they hadn't started working on website. It did take about 4 business days for the money to be refunded. I can't attest for the other reviewers but I am impressed that they did it. Will be signing up with them probably in about a year. Also I had done quite a bit of research calling their customers who have their websites and spoke with about 3 people- none of them said anything bad and one person said he can account for the website actually getting him business. My company ended up ranking lower on Web searches after they took control of my websitesite. They refused to release the website I paid for and own. They are using it as leverage to try and get me to pay for 2 months of service that I didn't want. Disappointing & disorganized. I was contacted by LinkNow media to design & host my website. Initially I was impressed that they had already created a site for me during the pitch to gain my business and it appeared all I had to do was give them my text and the correct info for my company. Nothing could have been more of an illusion. As soon as I committed to doing business with them, the impression changed. I was "welcomed" by 5 different people all re-verifying my basic info. It was very chaotic & disjointed. Nearly immediately after signing, I sent the proper text & info to plug into the site they already designed for me yet that was also not put into the right hands and I had yet another person asking me for my text. The one thing LinkNow media seems to be good at is selling & upselling. They had a woman call me to go over the site (again) and this time, she sold me some stock images. Weeks later, the site is still not live. I have a grand opening launch tomorrow (19 days after giving them all the full text & info they needed) and yet when I called, they still haven't assigned me an account manager. Then who were all the other people I was talking to? A rude manager named Derek Page told me I was in the queue and insulted me with, "do you expect special treatment? Should I put you ahead of everyone else who signed with us that day?" Wow, um, yes, I did actually expect the site to go live quicker since I had done my part so quickly and it was such a simple design. I can't believe now almost a month after agreeing to do business with these people and paying them already hundreds of dollars, they still haven't even assigned me an account manager much less built my site. I would give 5 stars, but there are some issues that I can say could use some improvement. They have maintained a site for my business for a few years now and we rank reasonably well on Google for the money. It must be noted that people that are expecting to have top ranking for low pricing aren't being reasonable. This is a "pay as you play" format and if you want to have higher rankings, then you need to spend more money. The question I have for the people that are nit-picking is, do you want to provide extra time and effort at YOUR job and still get paid as if you are just doing the bare minimum? Recently, LinkNow and their staff went above and beyond for our company with Google. We have been fighting with Google + and local business/whatever-department-should-be-handling-it to get a second Google + page that was posted by a disgruntled ex-employee to make us look bad taken down. We have been at it with Google for over a year and they were able to get it handled for us. This isn't in their job description, we weren't billed extra and it has alleviated a major issue for us in our ranking with Google which IS in their job description. This was a major freebie that they handled for us and I couldn't be more thrilled. All companies have some issues, none are going to be perfect but this company has something that is sorely lacking in our world today, Excellent Customer Care. The only thing I would want to be able to give them 5 stars would be us having a little more control over what can be done with the site, like adding our own cross linking and making aesthetic changes ourselves. Stay away. Total scam. Horrible product & service. If dissatisfied with the product and service they do not refund your money and seek revenge if you dispute charges on credit cards. I gave them a credit card authorization to purchase a godaddy.com account because they said they're service required them to purchase the url before creating the site content. I approved the charge for a url only. Checked my card statement that night and they had charged over $1000 of product and service fees for 1). website design creation; 2). additional storage space; 3). 5 years of url assignment. All unauthorized. Not to mention they bought a url that was no where near close to what I had asked for and in no way represented accurately my business name. Contacted them immediately. They rejected my request for refund. I disputed the charges with my credit card company. Within 2 days of disputing the charges, my original website (which had already existed - created by my neighbor) was hacked and my email was inundated with junk and phishing scams, about 100+ per day. read more

Yes, I was also impressed that this company would put together a "sample" website for my architecture firm- it seemed to demonstrate that they were very ambitious, although the sample website did not reflect my business at all. The marketing process was very professional and quite high pressure, but the relatively low cost of the "Package" was attractive, IF you believe in the promises made in the marketing. My impression, after a month of frustration, is that the only thing LinkNow is really effective at is collection of additional fees, none of which were mentioned in the market blitz. I have received at least 20 emails requesting documents that I had already provided, and the emails had no contact name attached! It seemed my correspondence went into a black hole, never to be seen again. My website NEVER was completed- I just cancelled the "package" so that i would not be charged any more "monthly maintenance fees". No refunds of course- but from my perspective, better to take my losses and move on! Wish I had visited Yelp BEFORE signing up! Wow. What an annoying company. They called three times to offer me a "free website", even though it was obvious I wasn't interested from the very first call. They insisted they could help "market" my site, even though I've had a website since 2002 and it already shows up on the first page of Google searches. I'm not sure how they were planning to "market" it, since they had no clue what business I'm even in. They said they'd email me and show me the website they had "already made" for me. I never did get any emails from them. Their incompetence was apparent from the first call: they knew my name and apparently the name of my business, but they had to ask me if I had a website? A simple Google search would have answered that question in seconds, and also given them my email address. I never did get to see the website they had made for me because they couldn't get my contact info correct. I've looked at other websites made by them; they're pretty much what you'd expect: a Wordpress template with a few generic stock images plugged into it. All for just $400 per month! I told them I was paying $100 PER YEAR for my site, and they STILL didn't take the hint. They do ask you some questions to get your site running successfully and tailored to your companies specs. but you have to participate only you know your specific details. By asking you a few questions you will get an amazing website and that is exactly what a good SEO does, If you do not put in any effort or answer very important questions when they need them you are not giving them all the tools they need. Link Now knows how to optimize, write content and customize you website. Give them some of your time it does not take much they already know what to do but communicating with your SEO is as important as asking them to build an awesome website. LinkNow Media sales person calls up and offers a really good sounding web site that supposedly can be adapted to almost whatever you want for a fairly cheap price. They charge you $499 to set up the web site, then immediately start charging you the $49.95 /mo fee even before the site is up. You have the option to write the site yourself -- which is what you thought they would do-- or pay them a large fee for writing it for you. The site is very plain and any thing you ask them to do with the site they say "that will be another $400 /year to do that". The site can not be accessed properly from mobile devices -- unless you want to pay another $400/ year. The programmer says it takes 7 days for any changes to the site you want -- like removing the map of Quebec from the site and replacing it with a map of Texas to show where we are located. Then you have to resubmit changes on anything he did that you do not like and wait while they are charging you $49.95 /mo for a site that is awful and that you are ashamed to have your name on for everyone to see on the web. We would like our money back and not have anything more to do with LinkNow Media but they refuse to give us our money back. We are very dissatisfied with LinkNow Media. We wish we had never heard of LinkNow Media. We recommend that you run from them and do not let them talk you into using their inept services. read more

We hired this company to design our business website and maintain our service. There has been nothing but problems and personnel changes as well as excuses, excuses and excuses and nothing gets done or resolved. The assistant manager is rude, you can't talk to the owner always in meeting. The manager keeps saying theres nothing she can do that i need to talk to the tech department of which they only have (1) Person named Phil and all they do is make excuse why it isn't working and blame apple or whom ever the computer manufacturer is! The web page design took way too long and the website is constantly failing, we have not received any business from it, and we are way down the list on all major search engines. The email never works and you have to reset the server mail everyday and they keep blaming it on our apple and we keep replacing phones and that doesn't solve anything just a temporary fix.
