Checkout lionheart on the green last week for my coworkers retirement party. Forgot to call ahead and ended up showing up with about 20 people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was so cool lots of seats outside and corn hole boards.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The kitchen is separate from the bar and the chef was amazing and very accepting that I was putting n a huge order last minute. He went above and beyond for group made us some desserts to try on the house. All in all place was a great choice for our get together. Will definitely go back. read more

this is the second time I have been here, both times as part of a work group get together; both times have been absolutely stellar. Bartender is the same young blonde girl I seen back in August at my first work gathering. She is extremely quick serving, changing kegs, and serving customers, all by herself. She is very nice to everyone and the "regulars" appear to like her alot. both food and beer is VERY affordable...most food items are under $10 and mugs of beer are $6. Both beer and food are great. Place is in the back to order from the kitchen. Guys are busy prepping the food and the cashier was a cool dude with a great attitude and a smile, like he was happy to be there...dude was very polite and nice. Last time in August, I had the Philly Cheesesteak and the Meat Sauce Fries. This time I had the Smashburger and the Meat Sauce Fries. Both times the food was hot, fresh tasty and filling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of these days maybe our work group can take advantage of the huge front patio with large lawn chairs and corn hole. I was actually hesitant to go here because I figured it was just another bar. But, my husband wanted to check it out so we stopped in last night and I am really glad we did. Dare I say new favorite spot? The spot is deceptively large. Lots of seating and open space inside - huge patio - and a side yard. Great for groups. The back patio has picnic tables, the side has Adirondack chairs and cornhole. There are 24 beer taps and then tons and tons of cans to choose from. The were cans of hard seltzers,/teas/lemonade/juices, beer, cider, wine, etc. lots to choose from. They have a kitchen window to order food from out on the back patio. Surprisingly good prices for burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, etc. I ordered the smashed jalapeño cheeseburger and it was actually really good. As in - I want to go back and get another one. And it was only $5.50! The food was ready very quickly too. We sat on the back patio drink beer and eating burgers in the sunshine. It was fantastic There were tons of people there - inside and out. There was a birthday party inside, a kickball league gathering outside, and still lots of room for everyone else. I am definitely going back and assume this will be a favorite spot for many. read more

What a cool place. Hopped on the motorcycles and headed out to check out. Lionheart place was packed. Lots of people having fun, having drinks, playing corn hole socializing the women we're dressed to impress ordered a couple drinks and went outside to watch the action after a little while, decided to get a quick bite to eat, one more drink, then head out on the motorcycles again. So I won tickets through 100.9 the cat to see a private acoustic show with Matt stell. I never go downtown but my boyfriend and I came here and this place is a gem. The location is great and the ambiance was just perfect. It was a cold day but they had fires on to help with the heat. We also got food. We waited in line for a long time to get a buff chicken wrap and bites. It was mediocre and expensive even with inflation. I def would not eat there again but go for the drinks and music. read more

This place was great! It was right around the block from my brother's apartment. There was a little arts and crafts fair going on at the green. There was live music and I was able to bring my dog to have some drinks. The bathrooms were gross and the floor was sticky, but I spent most of the time outside and enjoyed it. I went early on a Friday night in February, and I was very glad that there was an outdoor tent, even if it was cold, because I didn't really want to be inside. The indoor space is a little awkward and the music choices were not my favorite. Lots of pop country (later in the night it switched up a bit). Also, kinda too well lit for the vibe the bar had? I feel like this is a place I'd want to go to on a nice, warm day, maybe? But it didn't do it for me on a weekend evening. Used to go here maybe once a month. We know a bartender here and it's not terribly out of the way, plus we get to split time with Lost & Found across the street. Not anymore. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's always a fight, always attitude, crowd seems to be just barely legal in a bar filled with a bunch of kids who can't hold their liquor and want to start fights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I mean actual fights and the bouncers want to beat you to a pulp. Great spot! Do wonderful to have another super place to choose from in the Albany Warehouse District!

First and last time there. We had organized a fund raiser for breast cancer with over 40 people, we had reached out to bars weeks in advance. We did that so if they didn't want the fundraiser to stop by, we understood their wishes. We held it the warehouse district in downtown Albany, other bars were great. I am sorry to say LG wasn't, their staff had no idea we were coming almost it was a bother to have 40+ customers. It could have been a win/win for them, $$ for them and to donate for a great cause. We made the best of it and may I add it was cold and raining and the only place they gave us was outside. And lastly they donated only a 25$ gift card and with their prices maybe a drink or two, while other bars donated from 100 gift card to a gift valued at 180$ Good luck to them!! read more

My boyfriend got denied for wearing a "white tee" which was a nice off white colored shirt with 3 buttons near the neck. We saw SEVERAL other men inside the bar wearing white tee shirts and sandals. This is an outdoor bar with cornhole. Our first time here and not a good experience. Apparently the website does not have a dresss code either so shame on this place. read more

do not go here!!! my friends went here a month ago to have a few drinks and get food. a bouncer dragged them out of the bar where they were jumped outside of the establishment. They had no idea why this happened. Someone inside the bar thought one of my friends was flirting with his girlfriend on a seperate occasion my friends husband step brother and friends we dragged out of the bar and beat by the bouncers as well. He had severe gashed on his face and had to go to Albany med. police reports were attempted to be filed but there's no working cameras inside or outside LionHeart and no working cameras across the street as well. DO NOT GO HERE. I'm pretty sure they set people up and then jump them. I was not allowed entrance into this establishment due to the color of my shirt. I was wearing a white t-shirt and the bouncers would not allow me in due to the color of my shirt. As I looked around, several people were wearing white t-shirts. I will not be frequenting this place if they are going to turn away business based on the color of a persons t-shirt. It was absolutely ridiculous and I do not recommend this place to anyone. I will be telling all of my friends and family about this experience and hoping they withhold their business from this place. read more
