Today, she went in looking for pasties but did not find what she wanted and left without purchasing anything. Shortly afterward, a new employee came outside, took photos of my car, and falsely accused my daughter of stealing. We immediately went back into the store and told her there was no theft and that she should review the security cameras if she truly believed otherwise. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she became rude, aggressive, and threatened to call the police. I told her to go ahead, and we called as well. The police told us over the phone that proof of a theft would be needed. We waited for the officers to arrive, and after speaking with everyone and reviewing the situation, nothing happened because there was no evidence or video showing that anything had been stolen. What made the situation even more upsetting was that white men entered and left the store before and after us without making purchases, yet they were not questioned or accused of anything. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution people of color -- and honestly anyone -- before shopping at this store. False accusations and unprofessional behavior like this should never happen to any customer.

I called in to purchase some CBD products to help with a serious eczema flare up I was having, and Stephanie answered the phone and was truly 10/10 the entire way through. She has a ton of knowledge to share and plenty of consideration and compassion to extend to her customers as well. For example, I have a variety of food allergies, and when I asked about what CBD creams they have in stock, she took care to ask if I had any allergies to any products, and then offered to read the ingredients on each label to me (happy tears starting right about now). Stephanie also mentioned a couple products I may find useful based on our conversation (and, surprise - I love them all!). I also asked if they could accommodate a curbside purchase in light of COVID-19, which Stephanie happily accommodated. She provided white-glove service throughout the entire fitting process. She was patient, receptive to my feedback, and made me feel comfortable during the process. I especially appreciated that she always asked for permission before entering the fitting room, demonstrating a thoughtful awareness of consent in a very personal setting. Ipti provided me a wide variety of bra styles and prices. she was receptive to feedback and would pivot based off my feedback. Once I finished the fitting and wanted to browse the store on my own, she clearly explained the store layout and different sections. At checkout, she carefully wrapped my purchase and attached care and cleaning instructions to my receipt, which I thought was a thoughtful touch. Overall, the store was clean and well-organized. The prices were higher than stores like Victoria's Secret for example, but the quality of the products, brands, and personalized service make for that cost difference. It was clear that the business genuinely wanted customers to leave with products that have quality and work well. The only note really from me on the layout was a room in the back left corner of the store that looked different from the rest of the store and had its door wide open. I wasn't sure whether it was a stockroom or part of the shopping. If it is a staff-only space, some additional signage or keeping the door shut might help avoid confusion for first-time visitors. Another thing I noted was that I was able to hear the employees in the backrooms discussing another employees background check. I LOVE to gossip but having these conversations where customers can hear could be deemed unprofessional and someone could abuse this information. I won a gift card to this store probably a year or two years ago and completely forgot about it until I was doing some cleaning and organizing and came across it. Since I had to go to Annapolis for a doctor's appointment, I decided to stop by to see if there was anything I wanted. I arrived shortly after they opened for the day so I was the only person there. The employee was very helpful as I was looking around and she even directed me to the fitting rooms and checked on me as I was trying things on. They even have infused water for you to drink while in the fitting room area. Even the fitting rooms were sexy in this place with their big curtains as doors. A La Mode offers bra fittings. I didn't ask for one during this visit because I wasn't looking for a bra at the time but I would like to come back and take advantage of this service. In addition to lingerie, they also sell products to help clean and maintain your lingerie and they even sell a few adult toys. Their products are on the pricey side of things but they are high quality.
