She understood my basic requirements and then got straight to work while I slapped a sheet mask on my face to prep for the first event. My hair held and was bouncy and voluminous both nights. She gave my basic care instructions so I could maximize my blow out. It was really fun to hang out with Maxine and all the stylists in the salon. I'm so glad I found Robin!…read more I messaged her around 12:30 a.m. on a Friday morning, not expecting a response anytime soon, but she got back to me first thing that morning around 8:30 a.m. She was incredibly responsive and walked me through the entire booking process. I noticed she had availability later that same day, so I was able to schedule an appointment for 1:45 p.m. Even though I was worried I had waited too long to book and wasn't giving her much notice, she promptly confirmed my appointment and reassured me to still come in. From the moment I arrived, Robin was so warm, personable, and welcoming. As a mom, I especially appreciated that she was completely understanding about me bringing my 4 1/2-year-old with me. She even offered her a comfortable space to sit and wait while I had my hair done, which meant so much to me. I was coming in from out of town for my daughter's wedding and I didn't know what to expect. EVERYONE was so friendly and eager to make me look beautiful! My makeup and hair exceeded any expectations I might have had walking in! Laura, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure I looked my very best. I brought my wedding outfit to change into, along with a portable steamer. When I mentioned that I was going to use the steamer on my skirt, she insisted on doing it for me. She didn't want my hair and makeup to be affected by the steam. When it looked like my husband was lost and wouldn't be able to pick me up in time for family wedding photos at the Nixon Library (just down the street), Laura insisted on driving me there herself. She got me there in time. Crisis averted. I really can't say enough about the GREAT staff, services, Laura, and my wonderful experience. It was AMAZING!!! It was a weird sensation at first but Anju was precise and quick. She asked if I wanted to have my eyebrows done as well. I explained my eyebrows were a bit uneven (my own doing since pandemic times) but Anju said she would be able to clean them up and still allow my brows to grow out.
