I had an appointment at 9:30 Thursday morning when they opened. I made it a couple days prior and talked with a man who worked there and said I could come in then to get a mani pedi. I've been searching for a solid nail salon in CoMo and came across this salon! I came with my mom as walk-ins and they looked relatively busy! So the gentlemen told us to take a seat. After waiting about 30 minutes without any clue on how long it would take, we decided we'd try another place since we had other plans. As we went to leave the same gentleman raced to tell us the chairs were ready... Once we sat down, I saw folks come in who had appointments get pushed aside for our walk in... If I had come in for an appointment, I expect to start my service within 10 minutes. Appointments are made for reasons. The end result of my pedicure wasn't that good either. Very blotchy coloring and the pedicure experience itself wasn't very relaxing. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Awesome place. I asked for coffin nails and actually got them unlike the last place I went. Clean place, friendly. Little pricey but you get what you pay for so it's worth the price. They take walk ins. Parking kinda sucks but that's just a location issue not a problem with themselves or service. They had a steady flow of people coming in but even with only two people working the wait wasn't too terribly long. I'll be back when I need a fill. It's hard to find a good nail salon in Columbia. The chairs are comfortable. I noticed they cleaned the tubs between pedicures, even though I was just getting acrylics done. I'm really happy with my nails. I'll edit this if they don't last or start lifting. But they feel sturdy so far. They were pretty gentle with the filing, there's a few places around town that always make me bleed. Extremely poor customer service. The man who was taking care of me wouldn't look up from his phone when I was asking questions and speaking to him. After I soaked my nails he held his phone between his head and shoulder and consistently stopped working at my cuticles because he was focusing on his conversation (which was concerning a complaint he received from another customer). I'm writing this review as I'm still sitting in the salon and waiting for a friend to have her nails done. When we walked in there was one man sitting at the station and a woman cleaning the pedicure stations. I immediately was worried that they wouldn't have time for both of us or that it would take a long time. I needed a full set and my friend needed a fill. I am so impressed with the way these two worked. I've struggled for three years being in Como trying to find a good place that wasn't too pricey but did a good job and this place not only beat any price I've seen here, but they also did the best job I've seen! 10/10 will becoming back here for regular appointments. read more

Super friendly staff, and possibly the best set of almond nails I've had in quiet a while... I however can't recommend as I will not be going back and it's a shame they do such great work.... BUT they do NOT use new or sterilized tools. Crusty old nail file coated with former clients nail powder, nail grinder tips put back on the block after used, the acrylics container was all crusty, not cleaned and "disposable" tips that are literally a few cents a piece are reused. Which is a shame because they are super inexpensive I would 100% pay more if they paid to use sterile tools. Again this place has the skill and talent to do REALLY good nails and they are super friendly but seriously don't go here if you value your health! It's disappointing honestly I haven't gotten a good set since I moved here and have been doing them myself... posting pix because they are exactly as I asked for and just beautiful. I hope the owner see this and makes changes because I would LOVE to go back if they had a clean environment with sterile tools. read more

I recently moved here from DC and have been so frustrated by how few salons 1) do dip nails, & 2) use Nu-Genesis powder if they do. I'm a busy gal blessed with brittle nails who isn't coordinated, and Nu-Genesis powder is the only one (for me) that looks the same at the end of week 3 as it did day 1. Seriously. This is my new salon for several reasons: lots of colors to choose from; they do 3 coats (a lasting, quality dip requires 3); nice staff (Ahn is great); and cost ($35 - for a mani guaranteed to last 3 weeks. Done.). If your priority is a salon that offers wine and is an interior dec Instagrammers dream, this isn't it. I had broken my nail while out of state from Ohio. I called for a last minute appointment and they took me on a Tuesday evening right before close. The gentleman that runs the shop was FANTASTIC. He took good care of me, was delicate, and gave me a nice three coats of powder before the top coat! Nails are thin enough to function (not thick and chunky) and he shaped them perfectly. I went to Lisa's a while ago and I forgot to post this review but after the experience I had today I felt like I had to do Lisa the justice based on how amazing she does. We came in and it was my first time being in a salon. I didn't know what to do or anything. But Lisa was warm and welcoming and funny and helped us both feel at home. The seats were very comfortable and the massaging was very soothing. Lisa started with me first, and I was scared at first. But she talked to us and made commentary about the show that was on the tv and we laughed and it was great. She paid very good detail to my nails which were HORRIBLE lol, and she did her best to make them look nice. And despite only booking for just a pedicure, Lisa does the whole thing. She oiled and massaged our feet, massaged and lotioned our calves, and there was no rush for either of us to have to get up. My girlfriend got a hot pink nail polish and it lasted 2 whole months. Lisa's is a quality salon with a very reasonable price. I will definitely be sticking to Lisa's from now on! read more

've taken both of my daughters to Lisa's for acrylics in the past month (ish). I took my oldest daughter back last week to get hers filled and shortened and am on the way back to do the same for my youngest. To say they are amazing is an understatement! Yes, there are only two people working there. That is because they won't compromise on the quality of their techs. Since our first visit, we've been treated as long-time friends. Friendly staff, no frills salon with minimal gel polish options. Giving 3 stars because of the time it took to get a gel polish change. For the most part, I had already picked off the polish. I arrived at 11 and did not leave until 12:50. The bulk of that was getting my gel polish done. I did not want a manicure, and I was charged for one anyways even after I asked her to just do a polish change. She said it was the same, but I have never been to a nail salon that charged the same for a polish change as they did for a manicure. The polish looks very sloppy. There was nothing about this experience, that was a manicure. I would've expected for as long as it took to change the polish, the "massage" could've at least been more than putting lotion on my hands and then having me wash my hands immediately following. If you do come here I would make an apt with the man that works there. He did two acrylic fill ins, with gel polish and reshaped one clients entire set, all while I got gel polish. read more

I've gotten my nails done at this place twice. The first experience was good and I was happy with my nails! I'm travelling to south korea in a few days so I wanted to get my nails done before I went, so I went back to Lisa's because my previous experience with them was good. They only have two nail artists and when I walked in there were 4 other people getting a pedicure so I was okay with waiting for awhile. An hour went by and some other older lady came in and waited for 20 minutes before she said that she would come back another time bc she was in a rush. So even though I had been waiting for an hour, she got pushed in front of me and I had to wait ANOTHER hour. By then I was pretty pissed off, and then when he finally did my nails he cut them too short and it kind of hurt at times. I got there at 3:30pm and didn't get done till almost 6pm. I was really unsatisfied with my nails and if I wanted them this short I would have just painted them myself. I don't think I'll be going back there any time soon. read more
