He made an appointment and showed me the property that same day. My first impression was that he was knowledgeable and able to answer my questions readily. I realized over time that because of all his additional attributes (Professional, always responsive, and very patient), he was the perfect realtor. It had been over 30 years since my husband, and I had previously scoured the cities in search of that one perfect realtor to help us find the house that was perfect for us at that time. Zac Bidelman patiently spent at least two years showing me various properties. He quickly fine-tuned the amenities that I was in search of until it basically came down to 3 or 4 properties. Once the perfect location came on the market, he helped me create an offer that he presented immediately. His quick action was the sole reason that I was able to buy the property that was perfectly suited to me. The second phase of my quest was to subsequently sell my house. UPDATE (approximately 1.5 years later): We recently used Cari Ann Carter again for the purchase of a lot. This was a bit spontaneous and Cari Ann is a pit bull when it comes to advocating for you. We were able to put in an offer Sunday, get a counteroffer Monday and secure the property on Tuesday. She was INSTRUMENTAL in making this happen quickly and is the best negotiator ever! Between the market loss on the value of our house and the $82,000 cost (!) to get the mold remediation and reconstruction done, I was really freaking out about how much we were going to lose on the sale of the house. We started off using my stepdaughter's then-fiancé as our realtor, and it was a disaster. He was uncomfortable with how I stressed I was and was afraid to tell me anything he thought I might get more upset about, so he didn't do his job -- which was to tell us the truth about what he had to do to get our house sold. At one point we suddenly started getting solicitation letters from realtors, which I assumed had to be unethical because we already had one... Or so we thought. We found out we had fallen through the cracks and he had orgotten to renew our agreement, so we found out from other realtors that we were no longer represented and the house was no longer listed. When we signed on with the Barkleys we found out that some things our former realtor was doing or trying to do were unethical or illegal, and we knew that we could trust them to do it right. They weren't daunted by my extremely high stress level, they told us the truth about what had to be done to sell our house, and they got the job done in a relatively painless and quick time frame. Not only were they honest, they clearly knew what they were doing, and they were all absolutely lovely to work with.
