Wow. Steven is a jerk. We set an appointment time between 3:30 and 4:30. He called and said he would be there early, and I said that doesn't work for me. He was rude and hung up on me. Now he won't answer or call me back. Now I have to look for someone else to do the job. Shitty customer service. read more

I'm giving three stars because when he was here, he troubleshooted my doorbell problem professionally and in detail (so I would have given 5 stars) BUT it was part of a home warranty call. NOW, AHS and I have been trying to contact him for weeks to get the diagnosis corrected so American Home Shield can get this taken care of. No answer to my calls or to AHS. This business was assigned to do electric panel repairs...they called to setup time 2 days away. I explained that we have been without lights in the dining and stairs since Sunday and would he come early...all he said was to find someone else and slammed the phone down without giving me a chance to speak...would never have this business come to my home... As an aftermath... I called American Home Shield to inquire about my appointment. They called this business and were told that they refused service after I posted a review in the above paragraph - I posted the initial review only after the owner cancelled my work order. Steven again rudely slammed the phone down on the rep from AHS. This business is such a joke for this kind of behavior. Was this discrimination, since I am an Asian (Indian). Needless to say AHS has agreed to pursue this further. read more

Lite it up was dispatched to my home via AHS for a ceiling fan work order. This ceiling fan had been repaired 2 years ago (supposed) by another company AHS sent. I say supposedly because after using it for a couple of weeks it wasn't working correctly again so we just never used it again until now and Steven came out to do his diagnosis. The ceiling fan sounds like a loud train coming when on. My granddaughter sleeps there when she visits and since it's been extremely hot, I turned it on and our Bluetooth music to try and wash out this horrible sound but it's so loud you can't sleep in the bedroom, so I bought a blow up mattress and put in another room with a good ceiling fan that allows us to sleep without a train crashing in on us. Steve comes in and turns it on, immediately he says, "wow it's that loud"? I told him yes it is, and there's gotta be something wrong with it, right? I asked him if it can be fixed. He says no, it needs to be replaced. He stated that the motors starts to go bad when it has a heavy deep sound instead of a light wining sound. I said oh, okay. I proceed to tell him that it was supposedly fixed 2 yrs ago but we didn't use it much before it restarted back with that horrible sound. He tells me, "don't worry, I'll let them know it needs replacing and it shouldn't take that long". He gave me a copy receipt saying the ceiling fan is making a loud buzzing noise and it would need to be replaced. I waited 6 days without hearing from Steve or AHS so I tried calling Steve. No answer. Okay, I understand, probably on the job so I called AHS to see if the order for a new fan has been placed and I got the shock of my life! Steve had written saying the fan made a noise but there wasn't a mechanical issue. OMG, how can it possibly be not mechanical related!!! Plus, then why didn't he fix it? Wow, easy $75 bucks he collected for less than 5 minutes I thought! what a sorry S. O. B!!! I explained to AHS if your car is making a loud sound when you're driving it, it might be driving you down the street, but it definitely has some sort of mechanical problem and the same with this fan. I said it spends but you can literally hear it outside our front door, and the bedroom is in the back of the house upstairs, and you can't sleep with it on. Plus, he didn't even make an effort to fix it, he never removed a screw, or even touched it, he looked up at it, then spoke, and what he said and wrote on my paper isn't what he sent in to AHS behind my back!! How unethical is that!!! Because I'm here to tell you that, no ceiling fan is mechanically sound with it sounding and even rocking like this, even over music. Steve is a liar, lazy, and I personally believe he got mad when I asked him to put on a mask (I had a new unopened one for him), but he said he'd go to his truck to get his and also because I gave him shoe slippers to put on his shoes so that he didn't track in dirt and mud from our yard( we had just that night added top soil and watered), and it was muddy out front, but he made a nasty comment when I asked him to slip them on over his shoes. In remembering, he actually rolled his eyes. I thought to myself, dang, I just mopped my floors yesterday and I did give him these nice new unopened shoe covers. Plus I had a large off white rug underneath her bed, so what, But Steve is a lousy, disrespectful disappointment as a professional electrician. He would Never make a living in any of the Cities across the United States I've lived due to his behavior and knowledge. I'm military retired and have lived all over the world and by far, he is the WORST I've seen in a Skilled profession. He better have his own jacked up business because he could not and would not cut the Standard to work as an electrician for Any Other Reputable company. Be very Cautious and careful with this guy since this deals with electricity. It's a known fact that AHS uses the bottom of the pits when it comes to most of its contracts of Good Quality Companies. Don't believe me, contact the BBB and check the Ratings on the people / companies they send out. Yes it's 2, 2 1/2, Star Companies. Purchased a new home and bought new appliances. Best Buy was at my home to install the dishwasher, but there was an issue. The dishwasher did not have space behind it to fit the electrical receptacle, so I needed an electrician to mount the receptacle flush against the wall behind the dishwasher. I contacted Lite It Electric. They arrived within 30 minutes and had the problem taken care of very quickly. The price was reasonable, too. Will definitely use them again. This is a one guy owner ( named Steven) and no other employee. He was dispatched by my home warranty. He showed up and did absolutely nothing to fix my kitchen lights. We called him several times and even left text message because his main number is a cell phone. Again no answer a week later I called my home warranty company and they got in touch with him and actually connected the call with him. He said he wasn't responsible for any fixing and I had to deal with the home warranty because they didn't approve the fix. If that were true, why didn't he call us back And tell us? The problem is a bad switch and it IS covered. Home warranty said it was covered and they're bewildered why this guy isn't changing the switch! So per home warranty company, they've dropped him from approved vendors. Apparently he doesn't know how to change a smart switch and LIED. If he lies about small things, how does he deal with other things. My advice is to stay clear of this unprofessional and untrustworthy guy. read more

INCOMPETENT!!!!! Work is NOT to code!!! Installed lights and when we went to sell the house found out it was not done to code. Lite It UP charged $1500 to improperly install and the buyers asked and received $2500 at closing to repair and bring up to code. We will be filing a complaint against their electrical license. read more

I had recessed lighting installed in a kitchen. I was very worried because I was told that installing lighting on the first floor of a two-story home could be extremely difficult. I had no idea where I wanted the lights or if there were going to be holes everywhere but they did an amazing job! He helped me decide where to put the lights for the best functionality and look and I could not be happier. They even patched the holes that were left by the old lighting and cleaned the area before they left. There are very few people in the service industry these days who are truly passionate about what they do and seek to provide solutions rather than rob you blind. I believe that Steven Moore is the last of his kind. He is extremely passionate about what he does as an electrician and has a ton of experience to borrow from when figuring out how to repair an electrical problem. My girlfriend and I recently purchased an older home and called Steven out to help me with a problem into involving the lights and fan in the master bedroom not turning on.
