I wish I could give more than 5 stars because what Little Apples has done for our son and our family is incredible. We started our son in the preschool program and we instantly saw him blossom. Little Apples gave him a safe space to learn and grow, which has now led to such confidence and kindness in our child. Miss Sharon, Miss Wendy, Miss Ashley, and all of the staff here have been so wonderful to us and we can't thank them enough for the wonderful experience. When my husband and I first visited the school, we both saw it as our dream school for our son. As competitive as it is, we were lucky enough to have our son enrolled. Every interaction we've had with Little Apples has been nothing but positive. The staff is super responsive, attentive, and caring. Any time we had questions, they were so quick to respond. They are very committed to ensuring your child is in good hands and well taken care of. My experience with Little Apples has been absolutely wonderful. I have recommended this preschool to many of my friends because of the staff's attention to detail and how both my children expressed their enjoyment of school. I started my daughter at little apples at the age of 3 during the pandemic and my son at the age of 2. At the time little apples took all the precautionary measures to keep the students and their family safe. Miss Sharon has always been extremely responsive to questions and my concerns. I appreciated that I could email or call and ask for a short meeting to discuss any concerns I might have had. For example I was concerned about my son's transition to preschool given he was a "biter" but I was reassured by Ms. Sharon with how the staff would handle these types of situations. My daughter has continued with little apples and has been attending their afterschool enrichment program which includes homework help, learning Mandarin, science, STEM, and art. Fastfoward my daughter is now in 2nd grade and my son is in kindergarten, both attending the afterschool program and loving every moment. The staff go above and beyond and both my children have only positive things to share with me when I ask them about their day. Five stars is simply not enough for the incredible team at Little Apples Preschool! Our daughter started here at age 3.5 with severe drop-off anxiety, which the staff handled with ultimate grace. During that first week, they consistently reassured us with updates via the Brightwheel app. Soon enough, she was coming home bursting with excitement to share stories about her friends and teachers. She loved learning Spanish from Ms. Claudia, sharing affectionate moments with Ms. Keili, and diving into creative craft times with Ms. Isu and Ms. Vicky. What we appreciate most is Little Apples' deep investment in social and emotional learning. In an environment where she feels completely comfortable, our daughter has truly learned to express her ideas and thoughts. Because of this amazing foundation, we chose to keep her here for the TK program. Her TK teachers--Ms. Wendy, Ms. Jenny, and Ms. Ashley--put immense effort into ensuring her kindergarten readiness, both socially and academically. She learns through a wonderful variety of fun activities and is always thrilled to share what she learns day to day. Lastly, a huge praise to the management and administrative team who put their whole hearts into the school's daily operations. We were honored to be hired to renovate the entire playground to make it more toddler-friendly, and it was clear throughout the project how much they genuinely care for the children as if they were their own. Sharon, in particular, thoughtfully shared her concerns multiple times about smoothing out the basketball court to ensure it would be safer and less rough for the kids. Their attention to detail and focus on safety truly stood out. As part of the renovation, we also installed foam padding and turf along the retaining wall to help prevent falls and reduce the risk of head injuries. Little Apples have been such a great part of my toddler's life. We are so lucky to have found Little Apples to trust with his early education and care. We're so sad that we have to leave Little Apples after almost 2 years, and the only reason is because we're moving away from Fremont. The teachers and staff are so wonderful and really care for the students and their well being. Not only do they prepare them well for TK, but they teach them emotional and social skills so they build the foundation of becoming wonderful students and kids. Their special events are also so fun to look forward to! The facilities are also extremely clean while also emphasizing constant hand washing (my kid rarely got any fevers). We've had an absolutely wonderful experience with this afterschool program over the past three years. What sets this program apart is the teachers and staff. The teachers and staff are nothing short of amazing--thoughtful, kind, and truly dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for the children. They go above and beyond to ensure every child feels welcome and cared for, and it shows in the happy, engaged faces of the kids every day. Something I want to emphasize is their commitment to health and safety, especially during and after COVID, was exceptional. We love Little Apples! My son graduated from their preschool program recently and I have to say... he had the best preschool experience there is to offer. The staff are beyond amazing and sweet. Everyone is friendly, considerate, nurturing, and caring. They genuinely care for your littles and I felt so at ease knowing he was receiving quality care. This is the second time my kid joined Little Apple's summer program. She had a wonderful summer camp and created cherished memories that will last forever. Little Apple's summer camp theme this year is "Bon Appétit." "Each week, kids will be exploring a different category of food. (appetizers, soup/salad, entrees, drinks, and desserts) from different countries, allowing students to appreciate different cultures while also learning about kitchen safety, cooking measurements, and culinary key terms." I cannot express how grateful I am for these two months. The activities and programs were truly outstanding. They explored different kinds of food and educated them on how to eat healthy. Each kid has their own personalized apron and wears a mask when they're preparing meals. They also have field trips every week, and the director informed us all the kids safely back from the field trips once they arrived. They put so much effort into improving the programs, which is truly commendable. My kid returned home with excitement every day and eager to share what she had learned. She asks to help with dinner every day. The memories she made will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on her growth and development. I highly recommend Little Apples summer program to any parent looking for a safe, supportive environment and an unforgettable summer camp experience for their child. This is a long overdue review for this wonderful after school ! I have 2 boys ( 11&8 ) and we are in Chinese immersion program. They both attended Little Apple since kindergarten. Little apple has variety of after school activities ( crazy science, daily Chinese lesson , arts & craft ) to keep students busy after they finish daily homework. They also partner with others to bring in-house chess lesson, music and art lesson as additional choices. The staffs are caring, knowledgeable and kind. They make sure daily homework is done and since they have lots immersion students, they have extra help during homework sessions. This is a big help for non- Chinese speaking parents. I am very grateful to Little Apples for helping my oldest son become more social and for taking good care of him when he was in the after-school program. My oldest son barely played or talked to his classmates before Little Apples. However, once he started at Little Apples with their summer program, he would come home telling me about the friends he met and what they did at Little Apples. When the school year started again, the social skills he gained at Little Apples helped him be comfortable talking to and playing with his new classmates. It has made school a better experience for him now that he is more social. My oldest son also joined Little Apple's after-school program. At first, I was very worried that it would be too much for him since he would be gone from home for a long time. My son had a great time and reminds me to not pick him up early. The teachers and staffs at Little Apple are very warm and friendly. They always greet my oldest son by his name. His teacher Ms. Ashley makes sure he gets his homework done. Twice, his homework packet was missing a page and Ms. Ashley was still able to make sure he completed the assignment (routinely assigned every week) despite the missing page. My husband and I were very grateful and impressed. She went above and beyond. Also, we love the activities he gets to do during after-school program and we love seeing photos of him working with other friends on their project. It's a bonus that they also teach Chinese class too. I love getting to see the work he brings home from the activities and Chinese class. Prior to Little Apples, we visited and tried numerous daycares and nowhere measured up to the standards at Little Apples. Ms. Sharon and her staff genuinely cares and treats the children and the parents as part of the Little Apples family. They are attentive, responsive, and always on point. For example, during the transition back from COVID and facilitating the different zoom schedules for each and every student in accordance with their class and school, Little Apples handled it flawlessly. They were and still are on top of every schedule change, whether it's district wide, individual schools, or personal changes. It is impressive how they manage all of this with the number of kids and the numerous Fremont schools each with its own scheduling. But besides the impressive administrative prowess, the compassion and understanding Ms. Sharon and her staff demonstrates to the children and their family over the years is truly remarkable. We spoke with Ms. April Wright, CA Dept of Social Services (CDSS), Licensing Program Analyst, October 14, 2024, at 10:30AM for 18 minutes. Her team, "Oakland Southeast Regional Office 52" is responsible for zip code 94538.   Ms. Wright patiently explained there are two separate and very different state licensing agencies responsible for the "Little Apples's Team", Sharon Chu and investors. 1. Little Apples "Preschool" - Ms. Wright, her team and CA Dept of Social Services, only have authority over the "Preschool" portion of Little Apples business.  However, since our daughter was NEVER part of the Preschool program, Ms. Wright has no authority to investigate. Until a parent with a child in the "Preschool" submits a complaint to her agency, Ms. Wright's only option was to close our claim as "unfounded" because there was no other option in the software to close the case, except "unfounded". 2. Little Apples Afterschool "Heritage School" - Our daughter attended the Afterschool portion of the Little Apples business, which is administrated under the "Heritage School" program of CA Department of Education; not Social Services. As a result, Ms. Wright does not have authority to investigate this side of Little Apples business. Ms. Wright referred us to file a complaint with the CA Dept of Education.   As the "Little Apples Team", Sharon Chu and investors, have always known, Ms. Wright cannot investigate our claims because our daughter was NEVER in the Preschool program. Which also means the "Little Apples Team", Sharon Chu and investors, repeated another attempt, but this time in public, in writing, to deceive the public and new parents like us by stating in writing the CA Dept of Social Services conducted a comprehensive investigation into our complaint against their afterschool program. Again, Ms. Wright's agency could not investigate our complaint since our daughter was never in the Preschool side of the business for Little Apples. I do not know why Ms. Wright and the agency authorized an investigation and I do not know all of their legal authorities and obligations to investigate. Another but anonymous family?   However, our complaint will remain on file with Ms. Wright's agency since it is still relevant to Little Apples and maybe relevant for future possible investigations on the "Preschool" side of the Little Apples business.   Later we will share how our experience with the Department of Education team, that supervises the Afterschool portion of the Little Apples business.   Most important to us, as advocates for our daughter, please note, Sharon Chu decided to take time to respond to our social media post, but STILL REFUSES to respond to our questions regarding: 1) How many minutes each day our daughter sat alone, at her desk, by the table next to the "play kitchen"? (Kinder Enrichment, Homework, Wed. lunch time and Wed Quiet time, etc.:)    2) Why did our daughter continue to sit alone at her desk for so many months, for so many minutes each day, when we had written daily reports from Sharon Chu's subordinates, that our daughter was doing well?   3) We ONLY consented to training our daughter to maintain a 5-min attention span, as documented by Sharon Chu's 2/8/24 Zoom call notes. If our daughter ever sat alone for more than 5 mins, how come Sharon Chu did not notify us and did not obtain our consent? Particularly, as anything more than 10 minutes separation from the rest of the class, is expressly prohibited, in the training that California teachers go through and must follow. 4) Sharon Chu STILL REFUSES to provide us with our daughter's Afterschool records.   Another California state agency confirmed in writing we have a legal right to this information, which the "Little Apples Team" knows we have a right to, as our daughters parents, and knows they have to do as the "Little Apples Team", per California law... a law in which "The Little Apples Team" are openly violating... and implicitly publicly confessing to. In our opinion, as "still learning" parents, Little Apple's actions do not demonstrate transparency, ethics, integrity nor accountability; what every parent expects of those entrusted with the care of their children. From this experience, we much more appreciate public servants, public teachers, public schools and the "checks and balances" enforcement, from our tax funded Agencies. And much more appreciate the professionally led and professionally supervised for profit programs that our daughter was previously part of. In contrast to mismanaged companies, like Little Apples, led by Sharon Chu and the investors; "Little Apples Team". Again, what the "Little Apples Team" did to our daughter and other children in other classrooms, is expressly prohibited by California public schools and public teachers. Updated: My daughter started at Little Apples when she was in TK (2019) and my son started in K (2021). We are leaving the Fremont school district, but we will miss Little Apples. Little Apples was the ideal after school program for my young children. They were cared for, did their homework, enrichment, and had so many fun activities. The kids often didn't want to be picked up because they enjoyed their time so much. The teachers and director spent time to ensure we knew how the kids were doing. They are currently using a secure app to communicate with parents and also share photos of your child. Now that our time has ended, I am reflecting on our years at Little Apples and it is hard to believe how time has flown by. These teachers have seen our kids grow up and have truly been pivotal in keeping them safe, giving them support, and providing good fun times. Little Apples is like a home away from home for my kids. Both my kids have been there for almost a year now. My son is in the Preschool program and daughter is in the After School. When my son first started we were concerned about his speech and within a month he was using full on sentences and such a curious learner and asks so many questions. Ms. Sharon the director and Ms. Claudia my son's teacher are so patient with our son. When we were having challenges with him at home, they worked with us to ensure he reiterated good behavior at school and at home. They would also remind him when he leaves school to remember what he learned. Ms. Sharon would send us messages for a few days to ensure he was on his good behavior at home. She would then ask him when he got to school if he did everything he said he would do. Within a week our son was behaving well at the dinner table and listening more which was great! They would always follow up with us for a few weeks to make sure he was still on his best behavior. My daughter started Kindergarten this year and it was a hard transition for her and she cried a lot for a few weeks, but she would always calm down when she was at Little Apples. Her teacher Ms. Ashley is very caring and made her feel cared for and I think that eased her transition. She would always tell her she wanted to go to Little Apples instead of her public school. After a month she started to enjoy both and I think it was because Little Apples made her love school and she looks forward to the week to be with her friends at both school. I also see her confidence growing and they really encourage her passion and find opportunities for her to focus on her school work while her passion in the arts. The school uses an app called brightwheel where they will send pictures of your kids and share any updates from the school. It's nice because the after school they pick up our kids from school and you can see once she's checked in. The teachers and staff you can tell really care about the students and providing a safe place for them to learn and be their best selves. Ms. Sharon somehow runs an entire school and still has time to get to know each of our kids as well as checking in with the parents and seeing how we're all doing. My daughter is now multilingual- knows Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, and English. Sharon and the teachers are sincere in caring for the kids. Several times a week, my partner and I look at each other and say how fortunate we are to have found Little Apples. My oldest is in his second year at the afterschool program. Prior to the school closures and virtual learning, he would be picked up by the driver teacher after school with their flawless pickup system (not once did we experience any hiccups!). Now, he attends full day where the teacher helps him log on for Distance Learning. Not only does he get log-on help and supervision, they help him with his assignments and provide notes for me on what he's needs. I also get real-time messages when there are issues, so I can then check in with fellow parents in the class. They help in completing his homework, make notes for me on any items that I may have missed, and even step in to play catch during virtual P.E. :) Basically, they are doing all that I wish I could be doing, but 10 times better and with 100 times more patience. I also have kids in their preschool program, which is equally fantastic. My middle kid used to run away kicking and screaming (literally) at his previous preschool. Now he marches in confidently, and I see his self-confidence bloom. His younger sister follows suit and is becoming a confident, spunky kid. They come home proud with their projects and fight over who gets to sing me the new songs they learned. Besides the center being completely spotless, they provide delicious and healthy lunch/snacks. A HUGE plus -- not just a time-saver, but the food served is nutritious. I once picked them up early and they were eating freshly sliced pears! I wanted some for myself. And when I made spaghetti at home, they were disappointed that I didn't have garlic bread as a side, because they always did as school. I can go on and on about what they provide, but what really blows me away is the quality of care, and genuine interest in the students from their amazing teachers. Every. Single. One. They know all the kids not only by name, but also by their personalities/interest and temperaments. It blows me away and I appreciate them immensely. We ran into one of the teachers at Trader Joe's (pre-pandemic) and she came over to say hi to my kids, who were delighted to see a teacher outside of school. She spent a good amount of time answering the 9329 questions they had about why she wasn't at school, with all the patience in the world. The teachers there genuinely care. And that means the world to my kids, which makes enrolling our kids in Little Apples one of the best decisions we ever made for them. read more

My son switched to Little Apples after several failed attempts in other after schools. He started 2nd quarter of Kindergarten and now it's his forth year. Little Apples is the best afterschool I can ever ask for. The program is well-thought-out and adequate for the age/grade of the kids. Teachers are very caring and accommodating . My kids have been with Ms. Sharon and the Little Apples team since kindergarten 4 years ago. Ms. Sharon is kind,sensitive to the emotional needs of kids, professional and generous to the parents, is highly organized and thoughtful, conscientious and trustworthy. Of all the kindergarten after school programs I looked at, I was most impressed with Little Apples curriculum, schedule, and overall supportive atmosphere. If the preschool program was in existence back then, I would have sent my kids. Over the years, Little Apples constantly evolved and improved their program, eventually partnering with additional optional enrichment programs such as chess, Chinese school, and music lessons, among other programs and made it easy by sometimes offering transportation if the program was off the Little Apples campus. I was confident they were getting great enrichment, emotional support, and socialization at Little Apples. During Covid, Little Apples closed for the initial months, but re-opened as a safe space children could do their distance learning, after extensive reorganization and recalibration, by mirroring hygiene protocols of successful Asian countries, which were much stricter than CDC guidelines. This helped my family tremendously since I do not work from home and my husband was overwhelmed with working from home and trying to help the kids with distance learning. Little Apples gave us piece of mind and helped us regain our sanity through the pandemic. It is clear the teachers put a lot of thought and effort into the high quality experience they provide the kids and the parents. In short, I've always felt the well-being of my kids were their number one priority. I cannot recommend Little Apples enough. Little Apples is wonderful. After the pandemic lock down, my daughter regressed and had anxiety during drop offs at school. Ms. Sharon and the team were great about helping her feel more comfortable. Ms. Sharon would come to the door each morning and talk to her, she also helped her build a routine to address her anxiety. They have a great well rounded curriculum. Little Apples is nurturing and truly care about your child's growth and development. They prepare healthy lunches and snacks daily and have a well planned curriculum including science and art. We found Little Apples as we were searching for an after school program that would offer Mandarin homework support and pick up from Bringhurst where our oldest was attending the Mandarin Immersion program. We also opted to send our younger one to Little Apples preschool where we feel they adequately prepare students for Kindergarten. The preschoolers have a Christmas and Summer performance every year. It's super cute to see all the kiddos dancing and singing on stage. The preschool goes year round with a brief break over Christmas and another in June. After school kids can opt for the summer program which always has a fun theme and field trips included. Our time with Little Apples is coming to an end because we moved our oldest moved back to our home school which is too far for Little Apples pick up and our younger one will be graduating preschool and moving on to Kinder at the home school as well. But we may be back in a few years when our youngest is old enough for preschool! Little Apples is a gem and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a preschool or after school program with wonderful teachers and staff. read more

My daughter started in the after-school program at Little Apples at the start of kindergarten. It was an important moment for her at that time in her life, starting public school and attending a new afterschool. My family is grateful we could count on Little Apples to take great care of her. This primarily consisted of getting her from her elementary school to Little Apples safely every single day, with not a single incident I can remember, and of providing a warm and rich environment for socialization and learning. My daughter had many friends at Little Apples who attended her primary school, but she also made friends from other schools, enlarging her window to the world just a bit more. I'm not sure exactly what the magic is, but the kids all seem to love going to Little Apples. They're engaged and they have fun! This tells me the teachers are quality, and they're doing something right with the curriculum. Providing homework support such that just about all of the daily homework was completed (correctly) by the time my daughter got home was a huge help for the family as well. The kids work on hands-on projects throughout the year, including STEM, and the school also provides additional enrichment opportunities that you may decide to sign up for (past programs included chess, art, coding, etc.) And the frequent updates from my daughter's teachers also made her experience feel just a bit more concrete for us parents. There are educational opportunities aplenty in Fremont, but I encourage you to consider Little Apples, for quality and especially if the location works for you. The playground is not huge by any means, but Little Apples is also one of few after-schools in Fremont with outdoor play space. read more

Little Apples is a hidden gem. I am not sure why this place doesn't have 100 5 star reviews. We were lucky enough to learn about this place from a neighbor. Our child is starting his 2nd year here and we couldn't be happier. We spoke, exchanged emails, visited about 5 aftercare schools in Fremont area before settling in on Little Apples. Here are the key differences, 1. Sharon (the owner) knew the name, nature and nuances of every child at her facility. Not a outsourced or franchisee shop. 2. The facility is spotless. Visit anytime during closing and you will see the entire staff cleaning/ wiping every surface. 3. Sharon and her drivers do a trial run before the start of school year to acclimatize the driver and the child for after school pickups. 4. I have never seen children screaming, running around or misbehaving at Little Apples in over a year. 5. They kept my picky vegetarian child well fed :) 7. Teachers, support staff are caring and happy to engage in a conversation about your child at any time 8. Sharon truly cares about children and their well being. The only negative, if I have to pick one, this place is expensive. But then again quality comes with a price tag :) read more

The most caring and knowledgable program director and experienced educator, Miss Sharon puts every effort into running the school smoothly. Together with the wonderful team of thoughtful, patent, and creative Preschool and Afterschool teachers and administrators, they create a safe and positive environment where every child is valued and loved. The school curriculum is well-rounded, the performances twice a year were always warm and memorable. Kids are provided with healthy school snacks and warm lunches which is a great plus! Timely updates on our kid's school activities through the mobile app, thorough feedback on her development was always informative and transparent. Afterschool program included academic enrichment, Chinese classes, STEAM, also in-house art, chess, and piano classes as extra activities which our daughter enjoyed a lot. Summer camp was well-planned and filled with a variety of fun activities (field trips among them!). There are good after school programs that take care of your child, make sure that they are entertained, fed and well cared for. Then there are fantastic ones that go way above and beyond. Little apples treats you like family. Miss Sharon and her staff makes sure my son with eczema gets special attention so the flare ups are controlled, my gymnastics crazed daughter gets the extra nutrition she needs so she doesn't get Hangry. These are not things I asked for, and not only does she take care of it, she actively looks out and make sure my kids feel happy secure and are loved on when I am not there. There is a ton they offer that a standard after school program lacks - Chinese classes, extra science programs, art, dance etc etc High highly recommend - my kids grades drastically improved, they whine when I pick them up early; what can I say ? I have to say this is the best decision I've made for my son. During our first visit here my son fell in love with the environment. He was in K last year and we were referred to LIttle Apple by a friend with excellent reviews about this place. During my son first year at K, I felt the teachers from public school has neglected him since he doesn't speak English. He had hard time making friends too. Most of the time he refuse to go to his school. However, he loves little apple. He always tells me about how great miss Sharon was, how cool mr Wayne with science projects and how much activities he had done at the after school. He had some trouble with K with his behavior and etc, the principle was very patient and setup appointment with me to discuss how to improve his behavior. Strongly recommend parents to send their child here. Yes it might be slightly higher in price compare to some learning centers near by. But it's totally worth it. Worth every penny read more

My son went to little since last year, he loves it so much. We are very happy with Ms Sharon and her staff. My son is a sensitive kid and had bad experience in one of the childcares in this area before. when it comes to choosing school, I'm looking for a place that has caring staff and can provide guidance for kids' social and emotional growing. Sharon's school completely fits my needs. The first time when I talked to her, I was happy to find out she taught in fremont Christian preschool, which I have very good experience with. Her philosophy of caring for kids emotional wellbeing is what I'm looking for. Actually not only that, little apple has well balanced enrichment curriculums that are tailored for kids of their grades. Sharon is a passionate educator with many years of experience. Soon after coming to little apple, Ms Sharon and Mr Wayne the science teacher become my son's favorite teachers. He talks to Sharon for everything and starts to miss her when Sharon is on one week vacation. It's a very close family feeling that is not easily get elsewhere. read more

We have our son enrolled in Little Apples' summer program this year, and we have been so impressed with Ms. Sharon and her entire staff. Her philosophy for enriching the social development was an important factor for us. I volunteered as a chaperone for one of their field trips and during that time, I saw how Ms. Sharon expressed excellent care and love to all her students. One other thing that I was impressed by was that Ms Sharon really got to know my son and his learning potential that she knew what educational techniques/tools to help him stay engaged. My son thoroughly enjoys attending Little Apples everyday, so much so that he does not want to leave when it's pick up time. My husband and I are impressed with the curriculum (STEM subjects, Arts, Mandarin and sign language). The art projects and the worksheets that they take home are very good. The program they have for the kids is excellent and you can tell they spend a lot of time on making sure it's the right one. My kids actually wants to stay there after school.
