This is the second time my kid joined Little Apple's summer program. She had a wonderful summer camp and created cherished memories that will last forever. Little Apple's summer camp theme this year is "Bon Appétit." "Each week, kids will be exploring a different category of food. (appetizers, soup/salad, entrees, drinks, and desserts) from different countries, allowing students to appreciate different cultures while also learning about kitchen safety, cooking measurements, and culinary key terms." I cannot express how grateful I am for these two months. The activities and programs were truly outstanding. They explored different kinds of food and educated them on how to eat healthy. Each kid has their own personalized apron and wears a mask when they're preparing meals. They also have field trips every week, and the director informed us all the kids safely back from the field trips once they arrived. They put so much effort into improving the programs, which is truly commendable. My kid returned home with excitement every day and eager to share what she had learned. She asks to help with dinner every day. The memories she made will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on her growth and development. I highly recommend Little Apples summer program to any parent looking for a safe, supportive environment and an unforgettable summer camp experience for their child. Thank you, Miss Sharon, Eriko, Ashley, and the Little Apple team! We are grateful for the exceptional experience she had, and we look forward to joining this program next year.

This is a long overdue review for this wonderful after school ! I have 2 boys ( 11&8 ) and we are in Chinese immersion program. They both attended Little Apple since kindergarten. Little apple has variety of after school activities ( crazy science, daily Chinese lesson , arts & craft ) to keep students busy after they finish daily homework. They also partner with others to bring in-house chess lesson, music and art lesson as additional choices. The staffs are caring, knowledgeable and kind. They make sure daily homework is done and since they have lots immersion students, they have extra help during homework sessions. This is a big help for non- Chinese speaking parents. All the daily activities are fun and educational. We also attended summer programs and the boys always look forward to it. Little Apple is my #1 choice for after school / summer program!

We spoke with Ms. April Wright, CA Dept of Social Services (CDSS), Licensing Program Analyst, October 14, 2024, at 10:30AM for 18 minutes. Her team, "Oakland Southeast Regional Office 52" is responsible for zip code 94538.   Ms. Wright patiently explained there are two separate and very different state licensing agencies responsible for the "Little Apples's Team", Sharon Chu and investors. 1. Little Apples "Preschool" - Ms. Wright, her team and CA Dept of Social Services, only have authority over the "Preschool" portion of Little Apples business.  However, since our daughter was NEVER part of the Preschool program, Ms. Wright has no authority to investigate. Until a parent with a child in the "Preschool" submits a complaint to her agency, Ms. Wright's only option was to close our claim as "unfounded" because there was no other option in the software to close the case, except "unfounded". 2. Little Apples Afterschool "Heritage School" - Our daughter attended the Afterschool portion of the Little Apples business, which is administrated under the "Heritage School" program of CA Department of Education; not Social Services. As a result, Ms. Wright does not have authority to investigate this side of Little Apples business. Ms. Wright referred us to file a complaint with the CA Dept of Education.   As the "Little Apples Team", Sharon Chu and investors, have always known, Ms. Wright cannot investigate our claims because our daughter was NEVER in the Preschool program. Which also means the "Little Apples Team", Sharon Chu and investors, repeated another attempt, but this time in public, in writing, to deceive the public and new parents like us by stating in writing the CA Dept of Social Services conducted a comprehensive investigation into our complaint against their afterschool program. Again, Ms. Wright's agency could not investigate our complaint since our daughter was never in the Preschool side of the business for Little Apples. I do not know why Ms. Wright and the agency authorized an investigation and I do not know all of their legal authorities and obligations to investigate. Another but anonymous family?   However, our complaint will remain on file with Ms. Wright's agency since it is still relevant to Little Apples and maybe relevant for future possible investigations on the "Preschool" side of the Little Apples business.   Later we will share how our experience with the Department of Education team, that supervises the Afterschool portion of the Little Apples business.   Most important to us, as advocates for our daughter, please note, Sharon Chu decided to take time to respond to our social media post, but STILL REFUSES to respond to our questions regarding: 1) How many minutes each day our daughter sat alone, at her desk, by the table next to the "play kitchen"? (Kinder Enrichment, Homework, Wed. lunch time and Wed Quiet time, etc.:)    2) Why did our daughter continue to sit alone at her desk for so many months, for so many minutes each day, when we had written daily reports from Sharon Chu's subordinates, that our daughter was doing well?   3) We ONLY consented to training our daughter to maintain a 5-min attention span, as documented by Sharon Chu's 2/8/24 Zoom call notes. If our daughter ever sat alone for more than 5 mins, how come Sharon Chu did not notify us and did not obtain our consent? Particularly, as anything more than 10 minutes separation from the rest of the class, is expressly prohibited, in the training that California teachers go through and must follow. 4) Sharon Chu STILL REFUSES to provide us with our daughter's Afterschool records.   Another California state agency confirmed in writing we have a legal right to this information, which the "Little Apples Team" knows we have a right to, as our daughters parents, and knows they have to do as the "Little Apples Team", per California law... a law in which "The Little Apples Team" are openly violating... and implicitly publicly confessing to. In our opinion, as "still learning" parents, Little Apple's actions do not demonstrate transparency, ethics, integrity nor accountability; what every parent expects of those entrusted with the care of their children. From this experience, we much more appreciate public servants, public teachers, public schools and the "checks and balances" enforcement, from our tax funded Agencies. And much more appreciate the professionally led and professionally supervised for profit programs that our daughter was previously part of. In contrast to mismanaged companies, like Little Apples, led by Sharon Chu and the investors; "Little Apples Team". Again, what the "Little Apples Team" did to our daughter and other children in other classrooms, is expressly prohibited by California public schools and public teachers. Very Respectfully (V/R),   Marvin Kau, father and advocate for my daughter PS - This is the free market at work. And a root cause comparative analysis. Not vengefulness.

The teachers are warm, kind, encouraging, professional, and very knowledgeable about child development. They don't just focus on academics -- they pay close attention to each child's independence, social skills, emotional growth, and individual needs. Their yearly evaluations are thoughtful, detailed, and clearly aligned with children's developmental milestones. My child had a speech delay, and with the support, patience, and encouragement from the teachers, he made incredible progress and was able to catch up with other children his age. We also had an IEP program through the school district, and every time the district teachers contacted Nature's Gift to understand how my child was doing, they were always impressed by how well his preschool teachers knew him and understood his development. One thing that really makes Nature's Gift special is the way teachers truly engage with the children. In many preschools, you may see children running around on the playground while teachers supervise. At Nature's Gift, you will see teachers actively playing, interacting, and building connections with the kids. They are present and involved. The school is also very clean and well-maintained. Teachers constantly wipe tables, clean the environment, and remind children about hygiene, including cleaning hands regularly. We are so grateful for the love, care, and guidance our child received here. Nature's Gift has helped our child grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. I highly recommend this preschool to any family looking for a place where their child will be truly seen, supported, and cared for.

When we started our search, we actually did the deep dive research and found that there is no other preschool in the Bay Area that maintains a perfect 5-star reputation on Yelp. So, why is Nature's Gift so exceptional? Having watched our daughter grow there over the last two years, here is why: 1. Heart Over Everything: Ms. YinYin, the school director, emphasizes quality and love over everything else. Unlike the big preschool chains where it often feels like the focus is on revenues or rapid expansion over the actual kids, Nature's Gift stays true to its mission. In those corporate settings, you often see teachers just snapping pictures to please parents instead of actually taking the time to work with the children and show genuine care, not Nature's Gift. 2. A Genuine Community: The teachers are all incredibly loving and truly care about the kids--as a parent, you can literally feel that warmth the moment you walk in. Our daughter's experience was so positive that she would even ask to go to school on the weekends. That's the highest praise a kid can give. 3. Authenticity Over "Shiny" Facilities: To be fair, the facility is small; it isn't some brand-new, "shining" building like the chains. But we quickly learned that the environment is built on substance and love, not just aesthetics. Looking back, my wife and I both agree that sending our daughter to Nature's Gift is the single best decision we've made as young parents. If you want a place where your child is truly loved and not just a number, this is it.

Our kiddo is in kindergarten and watching her grow, both academically and socially has been really something. Let's start with the curriculum because it genuinely surprised us. It goes well beyond the basics. Kids get exposure to STEM topics, Spanish and even yoga, and there's still plenty of time carved out for outdoor play every day. It doesn't feel rushed or overly structured. The balance is just right for this age group. The food situation is also worth mentioning because not every school gets this right. Maple has a no microwave, no fridge policy, which sounds strict at first but it actually encourages parents to send fresh, healthy food. The school also provides healthy snacks. And if you're a working parent who doesn't always have time to prep a lunch, Ms. Radhika launched a fresh hot lunch program. You enroll at the start of the month and your child gets a freshly made hot lunch each day. The price is very reasonable (around $5 per meal), and even though we haven't personally used the service, we think it's a fantastic option for busy families. Another thing Ms. Radhika introduced is a partnership with Amazing Athletes, a dedicated sports program that comes in once a week. The idea is to introduce kids to a variety of sports so they can figure out what they actually enjoy, rather than being pushed into one thing early. It's a great way to get them moving and curious about athletics. The program runs about $80 a month and is totally worth it. On the practical side, parking is never a headache here. There's a dedicated lot with plenty of space, so you're never circling the block or rushing to a street spot at drop-off. Our kiddo and her friends sometimes hang out in the parking area after pickup for a little impromptu snack party, which tells you something about how comfortable and unhurried the whole vibe is there. The campus itself is really well set up. The playground area is nicely shaded, surrounded by trees and has a solid fence so kids can run around freely without you worrying. With only six classrooms, this is a smaller campus compared to some of the bigger Learn and Play locations, and that's honestly a plus. The staff knows every child, the class sizes stay manageable, and your kid doesn't get lost in the shuffle. For staying connected, they use the BrightPath Connect app, which sends you updates throughout the day so you always know what's going on. As a working parent, that kind of visibility is really reassuring. And then there's Ms. Radhika. She has been the heartbeat of this campus. She knows every child personally, is always available when parents have questions or concerns, and has built something that genuinely feels like a community. The warmth starts with her and flows through the whole staff. I can go on and on. In summary, if you're a working parent looking for a school where your child will be challenged, cared for, and truly happy, Maple Campus is absolutely worth checking out. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We have had the opportunity to interact with most of the teachers over time, and every single one of them has been extremely caring, soft, gentle, and patient with the kids -- while also being firm and consistent in teaching good habits, manners, structure, and discipline. That balance is incredibly important, and they do it beautifully. Our child started here at just 2 years old and almost instantly formed a strong bond with Miss Nasreen and Miss Yaimara, which made the transition so much easier for us as parents. As our child grew, Miss Ellah and Miss Ishita became the primary teachers in the following year, and our child bonded just as well with them -- we could clearly see their warmth, dedication, and positive influence. We are especially grateful to Radhika (Director), along with the wonderful teachers Miss Carmen and Miss Stephanie, who have all contributed meaningfully to our child's journey. The school does an excellent job of tracking progress and sharing regular feedback -- both positive and constructive. Even when kids are being a little mischievous (as all kids do!), the teachers handle it with so much patience, care, and professionalism, always turning it into a learning opportunity rather than a negative experience. Over time, we have seen significant development in our child -- socially, emotionally, academically, and in good manners and behavior. The progress from when we first enrolled to where our child is today has been incredibly reassuring and rewarding to witness. They have sufficient parking, and drop-off and pick-up are easy to handle. The entry and exit are well monitored, with a front desk assistant always present and strong CCTV coverage, which gives us great peace of mind around safety. Most importantly, our child is happy, confident, and excited to go to school every day, and comes home with new skills, stories, and a smile. As parents, that sense of trust and comfort is everything. We feel extremely fortunate to be part of this community and are deeply grateful to the entire team for the love, structure, and care they provide. Very highly recommended for any family looking for a safe, nurturing, and growth-focused environment for their child.

He was at that time shy, hard to communicate with, and was overall stubborn with wanting to do what he wanted and when. As a father that always wants the best for his kids and worries about how they may acclimate to new places and experiences, I worryingly counted down the days until we ultimately had to let him walk through the threshold into Level Up. The initial drop offs were rough on us and him as he got used to new places and teachers, and every week I wondered if it was truly the right choice for us. However, thanks to the absolute patience, empathy from the staff here, and stunning attention to what our son needs and how to communicate most effectively with him he started to absolutely blossom. A kid that couldn't finish the ABC's was somehow talking in full sentences by the end of the year, telling his feelings in reaction to what we were saying to him, and somehow became the line leader of his entire group. While yes, some of this may have come naturally to him over time both my wife and I agree that this school has put him well over the top of academic and social expectations. He has become acutely aware and sensitive of others people's wants and needs, is quite the public performer thanks to the schools seasonal performances, and thanks to the learning curriculum is quite aware of how to conserve energy and help the earth thrive. While still the stubborn little guy he is, he continues to excel and be nurtured by the staff who is THE reason why we are still at this location. Ms. Shushma, the manager of this facility has lead her team in a way that is nothing more than admirable. It is clear during drop offs and picking up that she knows the personalities and needs of every single one of her students and makes sure that they are accounted for. Her door is always opened for questions, concerns, and she has always reached out with thoughtful ways on how to best take care of our son in the most respectful manner. Over the last year and a half she become one of the most influential people in our sons development, and we could not thank her enough for her time and energy. If you are looking for a care center where your child needs attention, patience, and a really fun place to play (the happy home indoor play area two doors down is really cool) I would highly consider the Fremont location. We are currently enrolled in a full time 5 day a week program with optional included meals and will be enrolling our daughter when the time rolls around.

We brought our kid here when he was 2 almost 3 years old. He was a late talker and was selective…read morewith his words. After about 2-3 months at school and interacting with the children and teachers, his vocabulary has exploded. He talks all of the time now and surprising us with new words almost every day. When he started, the teachers assessed how much he knew already and looked at what they have to work on with him. They focused on phonics and getting him to use words more. They do have parent-teacher conference to go over his progress and what still needs to be worked on. He is still not the best at sharing but he is learning. He enjoys the songs and dances that he learns from school. He is slowly getting better at the worksheets needing less assistance than before. He loves his alphabets and numbers. He knows how to read a couple of words. Our son has been in the middle of his potty training journey, but it's been difficult for him to use unfamiliar bathrooms. The teachers remind the kids on using the bathroom. The school has part-time and full-time enrollment. The teachers are always so nice and patient with him and the other kids. The school has occasional events/programs throughout the year that we are invited to watch as the kids have fun and perform what they have learned. We are so happy with his progress thus far.
